Abstract: There is provided an antistatic polycarbonate resin composition and molded product formed by melt-molding the said resin composition, which resin composition has totally well balanced excellent properties including heat resistance, in which yellow- or brown-coloring can be prevented even though under melt-kneading step, molding step and such a circumstance that it is used at high temperature for long times, and the fluidity is improved without notably deterioration of mechanical strengths and transparency. A polycarbonate resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of polycarbonate resin, 0.1 to 5.0 parts by weight of phosphonium sulfonate (A) represented by the following chemical formula (1), 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of aromatic polycarbonate resin oligomer (B) and 0.01 to 8 parts by weight of caprolactone-based polymer (C); and a molded product produced by melt-molding the said polycarbonate resin.
Abstract: The invention relates to novel composition comprising hydroxylamine esters and thio compounds, which are suitable for lowering the molecular weight of polypropylene, propylene copolymers or polypropylene blends and result in an excellent degradation performance at temperatures below 220° C.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. More specifically, the present invention relates to an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising a) acrylic copolymers; b) a hydrophilic plasticizer; and c) a hydrophobic plasticizer. Abstract: Corrosion-inhibiting pigments based on cobalt are described that contain a trivalent or tetravalent cobalt/valence stabilizer complex. Abstract: A composition and method for encapsulating colorant molecules in polymeric particles are described. Colorant molecules, such as dye, are doped or embedded in a particle, at least in part, composed of a halogen-containing polymeric matrix that can effectively isolate the dye molecules from reaction with photo-oxidizing or reducing agents. The isolated colorant molecule is protected from photo-bleaching and other color degradation, and show superior photo-stability. The encapsulating polymer matrix can be cross-linked and can have a variety of surface functional groups, which may be adapted to help achieve either strong ionic or covalent binding to desired substrates. Also described are methods for producing protective particles, and ink mediums for applying the particles to substrates.

Abstract: A compound is described including one or more polymer (A) selected from propylene-ethylene block copolymers (A1), propylene homopolymers (A2) and a combination of copolymers (A1) and/or homopolymers (A2), at 30% to 90% by weight; one or more copolymer (B) selected from ethylene-alpha-olefin random copolymers (B1), hydrogenated styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene block copolymers (B2), ethylene-alpha-olefin block copolymers (B3), and a combination of two or more of copolymers (B1), copolymers (B2), and/or optional copolymers (B3), at 0% to 50% by weight; one or more mineral filler (C) at 0% to 30% by weight; one or more surface modifier (D) at 0% to 5% by weight; one or more additive (E) at 0% to 5% by weight; and one or more colorant (F) at 0% to 10% by weight. Associated articles and methods are also described.
Abstract: This specification discloses the use of a polypropylene, rubber (thermoplastic elastomer) and non-halogenated flame retardant in recyclable construction boards, computer housings, and electrical connectors and wire cables. Also disclosed is the use of fillers to unexpectedly increase the break strength, thus making this material a cheaper non-halogenated substitute for computer housings and construction boards as well.
Abstract: An additive for imparting flame retardancy with an organic resin is provided. This additive does not use environmentally harmful halogen or phosphorus flame retardant which also adversely affects the performance of the product, and this additive satisfies severe flame retardancy requirements at the level equivalent to those employing such flame retardants. Also provided are a flame retardant polycarbonate resin composition adapted for use in producing a product having excellent mechanical properties, moldability, and outer appearance as well as an article molded therefrom. The additive for imparting flame retardancy with an organic resin comprises a silicone compound having phenyl group bonded to silicon atom, an alkali metal sulfonate salt group or an alkaline earth metal sulfonate salt group bonded to silicon atom via a hydrocarbon group (optionally containing a hetero atom), and siloxane bond.
Abstract: An adhesive composition of between 10-70% by weight of a latex emulsion, between 30-80% by weight of an acrylic, between 0.05-5% by weight of a surfactant, and between 1-50% by weight of water, and an adhesive application system for applying the adhesive composition having the adhesive, a propellant, a pressure container for containing the adhesive and the propellant under pressure, and a valve system to regulate the flow of the adhesive and propellant out of the pressure container.
