  • Patent number: 8921479
Abstract: New associative thickening agents belonging to the category of HASEs (Hydrophobically modified Alkali-Soluble Emulsions). These products contain an original associative monomer with a base of alkylcyclohexanol akoxylates. Their thickening power is greater than the HASE associative thickening agents of the prior art containing grafted alkyl phenols. An efficient substitute product is therefore available, which is free of alkyls phenols, matching current market demand.

Abstract: An ink used for direct inkjet printing to plate based on nanometer material and a method for preparing same. Of the baseline total amount of the ink, 5 to 30 wt % is of film-forming resin, 0.01 to 5 wt % is of nanometer or micrometer dye, 30 to 60 wt % is of organic solvent, 0.01 to 5 wt % is of humectant, and water provides the balance; these ingredients are stirred and mixed at room temperature, and after the film-forming resin is completely dissolved, impurities and/or insoluble substances in the present invention are removed by means of multi-level filtering, and the obtained filtrate is the present ink. The ink in the present invention is sprayed on a metal base material surface by an inkjet printer o form a printing pattern which, after curing, can be directly printed on the machine, thus reducing chemical pollution and post-processing processes, while a press run of the printing plate can be up to 100,000 copies at a resolution of up to 175 lpi.

Abstract: There is provided a carbon nanofiber aggregate capable of suppressing scatter and having excellent dispersibility and filling property in a thermoplastic resin. A carbon nanofiber aggregate has a maximum void volume P1 (cm3/g) at a pore diameter of 2,500 nm or more and 100,000 nm or less and a maximum void volume P2 (cm3/g) at a pore diameter of 6 nm or more and less than 2,500 nm in pore distribution data measured by mercury porosimetry. The maximum void volume P1 and the maximum void volume P2 satisfy a specific relationship.

Abstract: A composition for forming a hydrophilic coating includes an organic binder having an average particle size from about 1 to about 100 nm and an inorganic binder having an average particle size from about 1 to about 40 nm. The composition further includes an inorganic photocatalyst that catalyzes an oxidation-reduction reaction. Characteristically, the photocatalyst includes a photocatalytic metal oxide having an average particle size from about 1 to about 50 nm. Advantageously, coatings formed from the composition have improved stain resistance, low contact angle, and resistance to dirt adherence, while maintaining a clear optical character.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a production method for efficiently obtaining an acrylic acid-based polymer having a narrow molecular mass distribution and a low molecular mass, without using a large amount of chain transfer agent. A method for continuously producing an acrylic acid-based polymer obtained by continuously polymerizing a monomer having acrylic acid as an essential component, characterized in that a liquid feed pump applies a mechanical load of 0.5 to 2.5 kJ/L to the liquid discharged from the outlet of a reactor. An acrylic acid-based polymer having fewer high-molecular-mass components, excellent dispersion and other properties, and a low molecular mass is thereby obtained.
