Vibrant Cushion Patents (Class 601/56)
  • Patent number: 5836645
Abstract: In a lounger-type massage machine, a back support is reclinable relative to a seat. There is provided a leg rest which is movable between a retracted position where the leg rest is retracted to be held below the seat and a projected position where the leg rest is extended outwardly in front of the seat. A sheet is extended to cover the seat and the leg rest. There is provided a looseness prevention mechanism which pulls an end of the sheet inwardly so as to prevent the loosening of the sheet in both the retracted position and the projected position of the leg rest.

  • Patent number: 5695455
Abstract: A massage apparatus includes a flexible bladder filled with a fluid and a plurality of bladder displacement devices coupled to the flexible bladder for displacing the flexible bladder in accordance with a specified displacement plan. A signal source is coupled to the bladder displacement devices to provide the specified displacement plan. The signal source outputs first and second frequency modulated (FM) signals. The FM signals are identical in spectrum and start at zero phase, but are propagated 180.degree. out-of-phase with respect to one another. The first FM signal is fed to one half of the bladder displacement devices and the second FM signal is fed to the other half of bladder displacement devices. The FM signals are controlled in such a way that vibrational energy travels in the fluid-filled bladder for coupling to a user reclined on the bladder while ambient vibration of the apparatus is canceled.

  • Patent number: 5660597
Abstract: A portable, compact, self-contained child pacifying device is disclosed for use with infant support structures. The device may be attached to such infant support structures through attachment means allowing ready attachment and removal of the pacifying device. The attachment means may include projecting tabs or a pivotable retaining arm located proximate a vibration dampening means. A biasing means retains the attachment means and the pacifying device in position. The device comprises an integral outer case structure within which a battery powered vibratory source is mounted to produce a vibrating motion. The outer case structure attaches to the child carrier through a mounting arrangement fixedly attached to the exterior of the case structure and attachable to the infant support structure.

  • Patent number: 5584797
Abstract: The present invention relates to a massager, and the method for its production, in which the motors of vibrators to be arranged in groups of desired numbers in vertical and lateral directions and power lines are connected not using the conventional ways of soldering or the like while at the same time, power lines of the motors are, after correct arrangement, fixed firmly on the supporting member by compression by heat. Thereby, both the inner and outer shells of the body of the massager are combined into one and can be used as the supporting member, the wiring of the power lines thus being made easy and simple at once.

  • Patent number: 5462515
Abstract: A multi-functional automatic circular massaging device including at least a pair of motors respectively disposed in a pair of housings to rotatively drive cams for creating a vibrating massaging effect, a soft pad formed with two lateral recesses for receiving the housings, a heating coil sandwiched between two layers of unwoven fabrics, a surface layer covering the soft pad, and a controlling box connected to the motors and an external power source. The surface layer is formed with alternating X-shaped protuberances and spherical bosses and alternating long and short rod-like protuberances disposed on four side edges of the surface layer. The controlling box includes a circuit board having a specific chip which controls the motors to output varying power at a predetermined time interval, creating sequential automatic circularly varying at least eight stages of massaging effect from strongest stage to weakest stage.

  • Patent number: 5411468
Abstract: A massaging cushion device used in a car, which included a hollowed frame of suitable size. The frame is connected onto a seat in a car. On both lateral sides of the frame there are two massaging devices movably connected therewith. The ends of the massaging devices extend into the lateral sides respectively for pivotal connecting therewith. A plurality of driving structures are provided on one side of each of the massaging devices. The massaging devices are capable of being spread out about the pivot, and are capable of folding for storage in the hollowed interior of the frame.

  • Patent number: 5305738
Abstract: A massage device having kneading balls includes a vibrating device provided between each of the kneading balls and a connecting member for vibrating the ball. The connecting member is a spring, such as a coiled spring, which is elastically deformable in a direction perpendicular to its axis. The connecting member is attached to a rotary plate rotatable inside a housing, eccentrically with respect to the rotary plate and rotatable relative thereto. The housing is further provided therein with a rotation control device for preventing the connecting member from rotating about its own axis with the rotation of the rotary plate. This prevents the vibrating device on the connecting member and the kneading ball from rotating with the rotation of the rotary plate.
