  • Patent number: 10413453
Abstract: A stretchable structure for absorbent article includes: a sheet-like member (12S) that is composed of one air permeable material (120) and has a plurality of pleats (80) arranged at intervals so as not to overlap in a fallen state and inter-pleat portions (85) overlapping in the state in which the pleats (80) are fallen; and elongated resilient and elastic members (90) provided between opposing surfaces (80a and 80b) of the pleats (80) along a longitudinal direction of the pleats (80). The pleats (80) are continuously or intermittently joined in the longitudinal direction of the pleats (80) such that at least the opposing surfaces (80a and 80b) of base portions (81) are not spaced from each other. Outer surfaces of the pleats (80) are not joined to the inter-pleat portions (85) except for both longitudinal ends of the pleats (80).

  • Patent number: 10376424
Abstract: An absorbent article includes a base-structure and an elevatable structure known as a flat-back protection feature, that is capable of rising above the base-structure during article use. The flat-back protection feature utilizes either differences in material length compared with the length of the adjacent base-structure, or elastic materials, to maintain the feature elevation above the base-structure, while the article is in an extended condition. The flat-back protection feature extends into the intergluteal cleft of a wearer during use. Embossment features on the absorbent article are used to facilitate folding of the absorbent article, enhance the functionality of the protection feature, and/or improve the ease of manufacture.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disposable pants-type wearing article free from possibility that upper regions of the leg-openings' peripheral edges might be formed with frills even when the belt-like leg elastic members contract along the peripheral edges of the respective leg-openings. Belt-like leg elastic members in a disposable pants-type diaper each has inner and outer surfaces at least one of which is bonded to sheet-like members included in put flat and joined together regions and a crotch region of the diaper. The belt-like leg elastic members extend from the respective put flat and joined regions along leg-openings' peripheral edges. Over ranges in which the belt-like leg elastic members extend along the respective peripheral edges the sheet-like members also extend along the peripheral edges.

Abstract: A disposable wearable absorbent article comprising an absorbent core area, a side, and an anchoring subsystem. The anchoring subsystem includes exactly one side anchoring member. The side anchoring member has a pathway with a front end, a back end, and a middle. The front end, the back end, or both ends are disposed outside of the absorbent core area. The front end is disposed at a front end longitudinally outboard distance. The back end is disposed at a back end longitudinally outboard distance. The middle is disposed at a middle longitudinally outboard distance. The front end longitudinally outboard distance is less than the back end longitudinally outboard distance. The back end longitudinally outboard distance is about equal to the middle longitudinally outboard distance.
