Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that estimates a remaining useful life (RUL) for a fan. During operation, the system receives telemetry data associated with the fan during operation of the critical asset, wherein the telemetry data includes a fan-speed signal. Next, the system uses the telemetry data to construct a historical fan-speed profile, which indicates a cumulative time that the fan has operated in specific ranges of fan speeds. The system then computes an RUL for the fan based on the historical fan-speed profile and empirical time-to-failure (TTF) data, which indicates a TTF for the same type of fan as a function of fan speed. Finally, when the RUL falls below a threshold, the system generates a notification indicating that the fan needs to be replaced.

  • Patent number: 11254119
Abstract: A method for image inspection on printed products in a printing material processing machine. Printed products are recorded and digitizing and the recorded images are compared with a digital reference image to find image areas with distorted regions. Suitable rectification factors are calculated and the digital reference image is rectified with suitable rectification factors for the distorted image areas. The modified digital reference image is then compared to images recorded during the production run. If deviations are found, the printed products are found defective and removed. The computer also identifies image areas in the reference image that do not have enough edges for calculating suitable rectification factors and inserts anchors into the image areas. The anchors are printed, recorded and digitized, as they become part of the recorded digital printed image. In that case, the computer calculates the local rectification factors by way of the anchors.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide advanced network tracing techniques in the data plane. A data plane packet processing system can receive a request to trace a class of network traffic. The system can receive a plurality of packets. The system can determine on a per packet basis whether to trace the plurality of packets. The system can mark a trace flag associated with a first packet in response to determining that the first packets corresponds to the class of network traffic. The system can capture a trace entry for the first packet in response to determining that the tracing flag has been marked. The trace entry can be configured to include or exclude a packet count, a packet header, a packet payload, and/or processing information. In addition, the trace buffer for storing trace entries can be configurable (e.g., fixed-size buffer, circular buffer, or dynamic buffer).
