  • Patent number: 10255014
Abstract: A system tracks the exact amount of ink remaining in printhead cartridges used in printers connected to a network. Each printer stores a history of cartridges that have been used in the printer. Each cartridge stores a status indicator that indicates whether the cartridge has been used before in any printer. When a printer receives a previously-used cartridge, the printer broadcasts a request for information about that cartridge from the other printers. Each printer having the matching printhead identification number in its history reports over the network the last recorded ink dot count associated with the matching printhead identification number. The requesting printer chooses the most up-to-date response based on the highest dot count or the latest time-stamp. The requesting printer then updates its memory using the dot count from the most up-to-date response and begins counting dots from that updated count for subsequent print jobs performed using the installed cartridge.

  • Patent number: 10108384

  • Patent number: 10102051
Abstract: An error mechanism provides stored error information to assist in determining the cause of failure of a storage device such as a hard disk drive. The error mechanism gathers information surrounding an error event from various software and hardware components in the system. An event command is sent to the storage device that includes the gathered information. The storage device stores the gathered information from the event command in a log on the storage device. After the storage device is removed from the system the error information in the log can be used to determine the cause of the failure. The event command may be standardized into an existing industry communication protocol or be vendor specific.

Abstract: A method for maintaining a file system of a computer system is disclosed. An operating system is loaded to the computer system when the computer system is booted, such that the file system of the computer system is monitored in real time after the computer system is booted. When occurrence of an error in the file system is detected, a number of times the error has occurred is accumulated. When the number of times the error has occurred reaches a predetermined threshold, a notification message is generated and displayed on an electronic apparatus. Accordingly, a manager of the computer system may be notified immediately when the occurrence of the error in the file system is detected.

  • Patent number: 10078664
Abstract: A system and method for searching for and finding data across industrial time-series data is disclosed. A computer system receives a search query from a client system. The computer system accesses a database including a plurality of stored time-series data sets. For each stored time-series data set, the computer system determines whether the stored time-series data set includes one or more sections that match the received search query. In accordance with a determination that two or more of stored time-series data sets include at least one section that matches the received search query, the computer system determines whether the matching sections in each stored time-series data set have overlapping time periods. In accordance with a determination that the matching sections in each time-series data set have overlapping time periods, the computer system identifies a particular event that occurred during the overlapping time periods.

  • Patent number: 10057914
Abstract: A method and device for wireless data transmission are described. A device receives sets of sensor data associated with respective sensor measurements for a vehicle. The device determines a priority for each of the sets of sensor data based on an amount of data stored for that sensor measurement in a number of data queues, and selectively stores each of the sets of sensor data in one of the data queues based on a threshold data throughput rate of a wireless network and the priority of each set of sensor data. The device transmits, to a second computing device via the wireless network, at least some of the sets of sensor data from the data queues based on a current data throughput rate of the wireless network and a priority level of each of the data queues.
