Abstract: A call processing system and method for processing calls from high volume callers. A frequency of call activity is monitored for callers to determine reception of a call from a high frequency caller. When a call is received from such a caller, provided is information predicted to be requested from the caller prior to the caller being voice connected to a company representative. The retrieved information is then provided to a company representative prior to the caller being voice connected with a company representative as to expedite the call. Additionally, a customized message for the high frequency caller may be generated prior to the caller being voice connected with a company representative whereby the customized message contains information predicted to be responsive to a predicted inquiry from the determined high frequency caller to mitigate the need to connect the caller to a company representative.

  • Patent number: 10453100
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for optimizing an online advertising campaign both before the campaign begins, and dynamically during the campaign. Optimizations are performed comparatively between a plurality of MPs (Media Properties) based on their relative cost-per-engagement. Comparisons are performed by first stack ranking MP inventory including any of sites, feeds, and verticals, based on cost per engagement. Once ranked, scores are assigned to the targeted inventory and a mean score is determined. Then, the inventory is rated as high, normal, or low impact based on their scores compared with the mean and a standard deviation for all scores. Higher impact sites with scores at least a standard deviation above the mean are initially favored, and the MP targeting strategy is dynamically adjusted during the campaign based on periodically re-evaluating the MP rankings, frequencies of engagement, and campaign progress relative to fulfillment in an allotted run time.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for attributing credit to individual channels for messages delivered via multi-channel communications. A message may be delivered to a recipient via multiple delivery channels, and the recipient may engage in a conversion event or activity associated with receipt of the message. Each delivery of the message may partially contribute to causing the conversion event, and the incremental contribution of each delivery may be determined. A probability of conversion may be determined based on past message deliveries involving the same or similar messages, recipients, and channels. An impressions path may be generated based on the past message deliveries, and subpaths of the impressions path may be used to isolate the contribution of individual message impressions.

  • Patent number: 10430825
Abstract: A digital medium environment is described to recommend advertisements using ranking functions. A ranking function is configured to compute a score by applying a user context vector associated with a user to individual ranking weight vectors associated with advertisements, and provide the advertisement with the highest score to the user. In order to learn the ranking weight vectors for the ranking function, training data is obtained that includes user interactions with advertisements during previous sessions as well as user context vectors. The ranking weight vectors for the ranking function associated with each advertisement can then be learned by controlling the score generated by the ranking function to be higher for positive interactions than the negative interactions. To do so, the ranking weight vectors may be learned by optimizing an area under the curve ranking loss (AUCL) for the ranking function.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for estimating audience member engagement with content, or distinguishing between users consuming content and users who have become distracted or have left. User presence or attention may be estimated from user interactions with or skipping of content, with the user interactions either compared to high quality engagement data from small audience measurement panels, or extrapolated based on a temporal-engagement curve. An attention gap may be estimated, representing users that were not present for or not engaged with or paying attention to a presentation of content at a client device. This allows the measurement system to distinguish between users who consumed and potentially enjoyed the content, and users who did not, even as client devices of both sets of users receive and present the content items.

Abstract: An ad facilitation server receives a definition of an audience from an advertiser, the definition expressed in terms of a URL that audience members have visited, such as a regular expression for URLs. Upon receiving a URL corresponding to a visit of a visitor to a page of the advertiser, the ad facilitation server determines whether the URL matches the audience definition provided earlier; if so, the ad facilitation server sends a request to a number of different ad publishers, requesting them to add the visitor to an associated audience. When an ad impression opportunity occurs on a particular ad publisher, the publisher considers bids previously submitted by the advertiser for the audience when selecting an ad for the ad impression opportunity. Abstract: The disclosure discloses a statistical method and apparatus for webpage access data. The method includes that: an initial dataset of user-accessed page behaviors is collected; first-time access data of a user is extracted from the initial dataset; the first-time access data is judged by using a pre-set judgement model to obtain a judgement result; when the judgement result is contrary to a pre-set result of the pre-set judgement model, dating-back matching is performed in the initial dataset by using the first-time access data to obtain associated access data; and the initial dataset is spliced and repaired based on the associated access data to obtain a repaired dataset. By means of the disclosure, the problem in the traditional art that the user identification accuracy is dissatisfactory due to the loss of Cookie information is solved.

Abstract: Techniques and systems are described to determine levels of competency of users as part of an online community and control generation of subsequent digital content to be used interaction of the online community with the users based on this determination. In one example, determination of the level of competency is based on relevance to topics of the online community. In another example, a determination is made as to whether the topic of the online community is stable before using user competency scores to control generation of subsequent digital content. In a further example, users of the online community are identified as exhibiting dormant or non-dormant behavior and used as a basis to control generation of subsequent digital content. In yet another example, user competency scores are adjusted based on a decay factor to address dormancy of users over a period of time.

Abstract: A stochastic privacy service provider may provide users with a guaranteed upper bound on a probability that personal data will be accessed while enabling the services to collect data that can be used to enhance its services. Users may receive incentives to become participants in a stochastic privacy program. The stochastic privacy provider may employ one or more probabilistic and decision-theoretic methods to determine which participants' personal data should be sought while guaranteeing that the probability of personal data being accessed is smaller than the mutually agreed upon probability of access. The probability of access may be on a per time basis. The stochastic privacy provider may access coalescenses of the personal data of sets of multiple people, where a maximum probability is given for accessing statistical summaries of personal data computed from groups of people that are of at least some guaranteed size.

  • Patent number: 10108817
Abstract: The privacy-preserving cookie generator implementations described herein create a privacy-preserving data structure (also called a privacy-preserving cookie herein) that is used to provide personalization for online services without user tracking. In some implementations the privacy-preserving cookie generator encodes a user profile (for example, based on a user's online activity) into a data structure that has naturally occurring noise and that efficiently supports noise addition. In one implementation a Bloom filter is used to create the encoded profile. Additional noise is injected into the encoded profile to create an obfuscated user profile in the form of a privacy-preserving data structure. The privacy-preserving data structure or cookie can be attached to an online service request and sent over a network to an online service provider which can use it fulfill the services request, providing a somewhat personalized result while the user's privacy is maintained.
