  • Patent number: 10955867
Abstract: A building control system that includes a post VEE readings data stores, a rules processor, and a building controller. The stores provide tagged data sets that are each associated with a corresponding one of energy consumption streams, each of the sets having groups of contiguous interval values tagged as having been validated. The rules processor reads the stores and creates anomalies having different durations using only the groups of contiguous interval values and generates estimates for the anomalies by employing estimation techniques for each of the different durations and selects one of the estimation techniques for subsequent employment. The building controller receives post VEE readings and outside temperatures corresponding to the interval-based streams and determines and controls cumulative energy consumption corresponding to the interval-based streams and manages the cumulative energy consumption by scheduling run times for building elements that are coupled to the building controller.

Abstract: Herein are computerized techniques for generation, costing/scoring, optimal selection, and reporting of intermediate configurations for a datacenter change plan. In an embodiment, a computer receives a current configuration of a datacenter and a target configuration. New configurations are generated based on the current configuration. A cost function is applied to calculate a cost of each new configuration based on measuring a logical difference between the new configuration and the target configuration. A particular new configuration is selected that has a least cost. When the particular configuration satisfies the target configuration, the datacenter is reconfigured based on the particular configuration. Otherwise, this process is (e.g. iteratively) repeated with the particular configuration instead used as the current configuration. Abstract: An occupancy based targeted marketing system for augmenting market control techniques corresponding to one or more buildings of one or more building types within a geographic subsector is provided. The system includes a subsector aggregator, an other facility occupancy estimator, and a subsector processor. The subsector aggregator receives energy consumption and outside temperature streams corresponding to a portion of the one or more buildings, and employs occupancy components to generate average occupancy components corresponding to each building type. The other facility occupancy estimator matches the average occupancy components to remaining ones of the one or more buildings not in the portion according to building type. The subsector processor uses the first and second aggregated occupancy components to modify defaults of market control devices based on the occupancy estimate to optimize targeted advertising to a flow of pedestrians and automotive vehicles in the geographic subsector.

  • Patent number: 10524093
Abstract: A description of a user is estimated based on the context of a user's past and present locations. A disclosed data-processing system continually receives data points for each user that represent spatial and/or temporal events. These events represent, for example, presence of a person at a specific geographic location such as a geographic area or point of interest (POI). The data-processing system evaluates the received data points in relation to one or more of the geographic locations, yielding results that are also based on the demographic characteristics of each visited location and the commercial characteristics of each visited location. The data-processing system evaluates the data points also to determine patterns exhibited in each user's activity or inactivity, and patterns exhibited in the distance traveled and the type of travel. The data-processing system bases the user descriptions on the results of these evaluations.
