Abstract: A system and method is provided for avoiding duplication of effort in drafting documents and, in particular, to a system and method for avoiding duplication of effort in preparing patent related submissions. The method is implemented on a computer infrastructure comprises storing disclosure information related to non-public proprietary innovation and receiving terms associated with an innovation. The method further comprises matching the terms with the stored disclosure information and providing an alert to a user that certain of the terms overlap with the stored disclosure information.

Abstract: There is provided a method that includes (i) receiving a first record that contains an identity of an individual, a name of a business, and a role of the individual in the business, (ii) matching the first record to data that provides a unique business identifier for the business, (iii) matching the first record to data that provides a unique individual identifier for the individual, (iii) appending to the first record (a) the unique business identifier, (b) the unique individual identifier, and (c) a unique role identifier for the role of the individual in the business, (iv) matching the first record to a second record based on the unique business identifier, the unique individual identifier, and the unique role identifier, and (v) consolidating the first and second records into a resultant record.

Abstract: A client captures at least one identification indicator of an individual arriving at a threshold representing themself as a vendor of an organization. The client extracts vendor indicia and organization indicia from the captured identification. The client sends a query comprising the organization indicia to an identification service. Responsive to the client receiving a response from the identification service with a network address of a particular identity verification service associated with the at least one organization indicia, the client sends a query comprising the vendor indicia and the current location of the threshold to the particular identity verification service. Responsive to the verification client receiving a response from the particular identity verification service indicating that the user is validated, the client notifies the user that the individual is validated as the vendor of the organization.

Abstract: Disclosed in a system and method for facilitating the management of keyword/Uniform Resource Locator (URL) data. A first processor receives from a second processor, a request to transmit keyword/URL data. The first processor transmits to the second processor, the keyword/URL data. The first processor receives from the second processor, modified keyword/URL data. The first processor validates the modified keyword/URL data to determine if the modified keyword/URL data includes errors. The modified keyword/URL data can be used to perform keyword ranking using a search engine.

Abstract: A method performed in a network element coupled between a subscriber end station and an AAA server for avoiding AAA processing by at least temporarily suppressing AAA access-request messages for a rejected subscriber end station. The network element receives subscriber session-request messages from the subscriber end station. Subscriber session-request messages include information for verifying an identity that the network element transmits to the AAA server as AAA access-request messages. The network element receives AAA access-response messages corresponding to the AAA access-request messages. Responsive to an AAA access-response message, the network element determines that additional AAA access-request messages should be, at least temporarily, suppressed with regards to the subscriber end station. Responsive to determining, the network element suppresses any additional AAA access-request messages from being transmitted to the AAA server.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a system for evaluating published content is provided. The system includes at least one processor and a plurality of components including instructions executable by the at least one processor. The components include a reputations component to determine a reputation value for each of a plurality of users of a network-based community. A reporting component is to receive a communication from one of the plurality of users, the communication identifying content accessible within the network-based community as objectionable. An evaluation component is to evaluate the identified content based on the reputation value of the one of the plurality of users to determine an action to take with respect to the identified content. A validation component is to take the action with respect to the identified content based on the evaluation of the identified content.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for checking the compliance of a file with global and custom standards are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a method for checking a file that is associated with a first set of standards and a second set of standards into a repository includes providing the file to a checking arrangement that includes a checking tool and an adapter that is interfaced with the checking tool. The method also includes executing the checking tool to determine compliance of the file with the first set of standards, and executing the adapter to determine compliance of the file with the second set of standards.

Abstract: A flexible system for associating a data stream with one or more secure control files based on mapping self-declared identifiers to trusted identifiers. It has particular application in relation to XML documents, XML Schema, XPath/XSLT/XQuery and WSDL file processing. Control file identifiers are detected in a data stream and transformed to map to new identifiers which are correlated to locations which are more secure and/or accessible. Optionally, copies of the control files are then stored and maintained at the new locations.
