  • Patent number: 9009549
Abstract: A RAM to be diagnosed is divided into n (n being an integer of 3 or greater) pieces of base regions. In an idle time of periodic processing performed in a system in which the RAM is incorporated, two base regions are selected from the divided base regions, and the selected two base regions are diagnosed using a diagnostic method capable of detecting a coupling fault. Thereafter, in an idle time of the periodic processing, operations to select an unselected pair of base regions and diagnose the selected pair are repeated, so as to diagnose all combinations of pairs.

  • Patent number: 9003231
Abstract: It is frequently difficult to generate multiple separate instances of a complex system. It is also difficult to restore the data state of these instances to a known state. Embodiments simplify the process by classifying the complex system under test in terms of its state components and service, by creating a new instance for testing, and by using copy-on write approaches to restore that new instance to the desired known state.

The example method includes recording user operations during a user's interaction with the web application; storing the user operations in a click history record in a primary memory device; determining that an error has occurred during the user's interaction with the web application; in response to the determining, transferring at least a portion of the click history record to a secondary memory device; including correlation information in association with the click history; identifying at least one other record by using the correlation information; and providing the click history record and the at least one other record to analysis software and accompanying user interface display screen so that the error can be diagnosed.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a test method for testing a nonvolatile semiconductor memory including first and second areas includes performing first to sixth processes every block included in the first area. The first process performs block erase. The second process writes data to a first block. The third process reads data from first pages except a second page in the first block. The fourth process reads data from the second page. The fifth process records an event of a first read error in the second area when a read error happens in the third process. The sixth process records an event of a second read error in the second area when a read error happens in the fourth process.

Abstract: Each communication path between controllers and a plurality of storage devices has a plurality of expanders coupled in series. In order to shorten the time during which the communication path is not used for I/O, either (A) the length of time for which I/O suppression is set for the communication path is shortened, or (B) the overall time it takes for processing other than I/O processing is shortened. In the (A), a determination as to whether or not the coupling between the expanders has been disconnected is made for the I/O-suppressed communication path, and in a case where the result of this determination is negative, a discover process is carried out after releasing the I/O suppression with respect to this communication path. In the (B), the number of command issue times of updating routing control information of the expander is reduced.

Abstract: In some implementations, a testing service receives a test execution request for executing test operations on a test target. The testing service may map the test execution request to a particular type of supported test framework from among a plurality of types of supported test frameworks. The testing service may obtain a test package provided by a user that requested the testing, such as from a cloud storage location. The testing service determines a computing capacity for executing the testing and appropriates a plurality of workers in a cloud computing service. The testing service configures the plurality of workers for executing the test operations based on at least one of the test framework, the test execution request or the test package. The testing service provides test execution chunks from the test package to the plurality of workers for executing the testing on the test target.

Abstract: A data processing apparatus having processing circuitry and debug circuitry is debugged by operating the processing circuitry to generate data. The debug circuitry is employed to generate trace elements indicative of the operation of the processing circuitry. Trace elements are caused to be output from the data processing apparatus over a communication bus capable of connecting a plurality of devices. The communication bus is controlled by a protocol for data interchange requiring data interchange from any device on the communication bus to be controlled by a single processing system. The passing of the trace elements onto the communication bus is controlled using an interface unit of the debug circuitry. The interface unit comprises a controller arranged to allow each of the interface unit and processing circuitry to be separate processing systems which can each independently control data interchange from the data processing apparatus.
