Information of the wardrobe items in the users closet are combined with information about the user and the user can direct the particular wardrobe items worn and solicit advise from friends and family via a social network about the ensemble.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computing device including a memory, a display device and a controller. The controller is programmed to provide to a first server a request for User Interface (UI) device configurations, provide to the first server configuration criteria associated with the request, receive configuration data associated with target UI device configurations from the first server, present a Graphical User Interface (GUI) on the display device based on the configuration data where the GUI displays selections for each of the target UI device configurations, provide a selection from among the selections of the target UI device configurations, and receive provisioning information from the first server that allows for implementing the selection of the target UI device configuration. Abstract: Techniques in this disclosure may provide a user interface that concurrently displays multiple panels which provide visualization of emergency call data of a law enforcement agency. The user interface can provide a high-level overview of emergency calls in a geographical area. Each panel in the user interface can provide visualization of the emergency calls and/or statistics relating to the calls. A user can customize which panels to include in the user interface and/or customize setting for each panel. The user may apply various types of filters to the data displayed in the user interface, and the panels can update the visualizations according to the filters. The user interface can also provide the ability to show data at various levels of detail within the same user interface or panel. The techniques in the disclosure can provide a convenient, digestible overview of tactical and/or strategic data in a single user interface.

Abstract: A new approach is proposed that contemplates systems and methods to support user identity verification based on social and personal information of the user. Under the approach, customers/users are required to grant identity verifying party a degree of access to their social network information, including but not limited to, account data and social graph information on social networks. The identity verifying party then acquires information of a current or potential user's online presence in addition to other information of the user and utilizes such information to verify the user's identity in the real world and/or to assess the fraud risk of a specific financial transaction requested by the user.

The mobile device starts the process of starting the TV application and transmits, to the TV receiver, control signals to turn on the TV receiver before the TV application has been started. More particularly, the mobile device transmits the control signals to turn on the TV receiver while performing the process of starting the TV application. When the mobile device has started the TV application and then the TV receiver has been turned on in normal mode, a user can control the TV receiver by using the mobile device.

The system may display on a first display view, electronic data which includes interactable data. The system may detect that the interactable data is selected by a user. The system may identify redundant data between the electronic data and content to be rendered responsive to selecting the interactable data. The system may hide the identified redundant data from the content to be rendered or the original content of the electronic data. The system may display, on a second display view, the content without the identified redundant data.

The toolbar application installed in the user client updates the file according to a user's request for editing an item, parses the updated file to dynamically generate the interface of the toolbar. It is possible to provide a variety of interfaces according to a theme.

Abstract: Example methods and apparatus to bind properties in a process control system are disclosed. A disclosed example method involves associating a binding type with a property of a configuration element. A plurality of values for the property are then retrieved based on the plurality of values being associated with the binding type. At least some of the plurality of values are presented to a user. The example method also involves receiving a user-selected value from the at least some of the plurality of property values and generating a binding reference to bind the user-selected value to the configuration element.

The machine may generate a modified version of the image by modifying the color of the portion of the image depicting the element to the proposed color. The machine may display the modified version of the image on a display device. The machine may modify the theme configuration for the target UI to specify the proposed color of the element.

Abstract: Media management for multi-user groups includes methods for determining a numeric score for recorded content being one of a popularity score or a relevance score, and for displaying a content library as an array of images each sized in accordance with its popularity score. The methods may also include social group features whereby a user may compare her content library with other libraries in her social group, and view relative popularity of content titles in the other libraries. The system includes numerous other features for content exploration, acquisition and management. An apparatus for performing the method comprises a processor coupled to a memory, the memory holding instructions for performing steps of the method as summarized above. Various aspects of the system may be implemented as a server or a client.

Abstract: A customized user plan is provided based on corresponding creator plans and user data. The creator plans may be generated by experts in their respective fields, by businesses, or by users of the system. The creator plans may be available for selection and/or purchase by users. A system may propose certain creator plans to a user. Once the one or more creator plans are identified for a particular user, the system generates a customized user plan based on these creator plans and corresponding user data, such as user input, user state, and privacy settings. External data and other plans of this and other users may also be used in generating the customized user plan. A single customized user plan may integrate multiple creator plans and set multiple goals for the user. The user plan may be dynamically generated and updated based on, for example, changes to the user data.

Abstract: A customization technique that provides a customized user interface in software to a user based on user behaviors while using the user interface during one or more sessions is described. In this customization technique, a usage pattern of the user is determined from the user behaviors, and a user-specific customization of the user interface is generated based on the determined usage pattern. Note that determining the usage pattern may involve generating a directed graph in which vertices correspond to visual components in the user interface and edges between vertices correspond to user behaviors. Then, the user interface in a current release of the software is customized based on the user-specific customization. For example, the customized user interface may include: only a subset of the visual components; a different order of the visual components; and/or a visual component associated with a set of operations.
