A method can include modifying a representation of a source sentence of a source sample from a source corpus to more closely resemble a representation of target sentences of target samples from a target corpus, operating, using a machine learning model trained using the modified representation of the source sentence, with the target sample to generate a task label, the task label indicating whether the target sample includes a task, and causing a personal information manager (PIM) to generate a reminder, based on whether the target sample includes the task.

Abstract: A computing device generates a first set of glyphs from a first data set. Each glyph in the first set of glyphs represents the same set of user-selected columns in a first row of the plurality of rows in the data set. For each glyph in the first set of glyphs, the computing device defines a set of marks to be displayed. Each mark is defined by one or more visual features, with a respective visual feature assigned to each column of the user-selected columns. Each visual feature is displayed with a visual property determined based on a data value in the first row for the respective column. A user specifies a specific visual feature for a first mark from the first set of glyphs. The computing device generates a second set of glyphs. Each glyph in the second set of glyphs includes a mark with the specific visual feature.

Abstract: A smart, movable closure system that allows access to the interior from the exterior of the cabinet, is disclosed. In some embodiments, the movable structure may be coupled with a cabinet interior that is adapted to be kept at a temperature cooler than the exterior cabinet ambient temperature, for example, to store perishable consumer goods in a retail setting. In particular, the smart, movable closure system may include electronic components that display graphical renderings corresponding to one or more products stored in the retail product container. In addition, the smart, movable closure system may include a controller that, before a user opts-in, generates an opt-in invitation at the smart, movable closure system, wherein the user may interface with the system with a wireless communication device.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for providing segments of audio broadcasts in responses to user queries. The segments are provided, for example, in real time, with the segments being precise segments responsive to the search query or other search request, located, isolated, and provided to the requesting party or entity. The queried audio segments are found by matching a medium, known as a “word cloud”, obtained based on the query, with audio segments, obtained based on the query. The word cloud is continuously updated with time relevant terms, associated with the subject of the word cloud. The word cloud is applied to the audio segment to obtain the most relevant audio segments, which are resegmented from the audio segment.

The user end station dynamically loads into a running instance of the web application an interactive editor that allows editing of one or more user interface (UI) components of that running instance of the web application. A set of parameters associated with the determined UI component is also determined. A value editor is displayed that is configured to display for at least one of the set of parameters a value and allows for that value to be modified. A modification of at least the value of the at least one of the set of parameters is received and the running instance of the web application is updated to reflect the modified value.

Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, methods and systems for automatically assessing damage vulnerability of a property include accessing digital images of a property parcel having a first structure thereon, classifying features visible in the images, including at least one feature of the first structure and at least one feature present in a neighborhood of the property parcel, to determine at least one of characteristic of each feature, determining a spatial relationship between a first structure and each manmade and/or natural feature represented by the classified features, and applying a property loss risk profile, based at least in part on the determined characteristics and the determined spatial relationships, to calculate a risk estimate for the first structure under at least one risk scenario.

Abstract: A system and method is provided that generates a game log that specifies game events during gameplay to enable efficient distribution of video game playback, facilitates the annotation of gameplay through content from users and others, and generates a video game stream that includes the game log and content. The system facilitates the efficient sharing of video game playback, as well as annotations from users and others. For example, e-sportscasters may use the system to broadcast video game playback with their commentary and/or graphical overlays. Video game players may use the system to share video game playback efficiently with other users. The system may also facilitate the sharing of loadout conditions and micro-transactions relevant to video game playback.

A server may obtain a virtual model of an overall region wherein the virtual model was generated based upon a plurality of images captured by a remote imaging vehicle. The server may then provide the virtual model to a user electronic device for rendering in a virtual environment. The server may then determine a target location within the overall region at which the response vehicle should be deployed and generate a route for the response vehicle to follow. The route may be based on damage indicated by the virtual model of the overall region. The server may then provide the route to the user electronic device and/or the response vehicle.

Abstract: A picture frame and methods of setup, gifting, and/or use. Network connection allows digital frames to be set up remotely by a first user for a second user. The first user can upload photos from electronic devices or from photo collections of community members before the second user receives the frame device. The frame is thus ready for display upon powering on by the second user. An integrated camera is used to automatically determine an identity of a frame viewer and can capture gesture-based feedback. The displayed photos are automatically shown and/or changed according to the detected viewers. The photos can be filtered and cropped at the receiver side. Clustering photos by content is used to improve display and to respond to photo viewer desires.

Abstract: Method for creating marker-based shared augmented reality (AR) session starts with initializing a shared AR session by a first device and by a second device. The first device displays on a display a marker. The second device detects the marker using a camera included in the second device and captures an image of the marker using the camera. The second device determines a transformation between the first device and the second device using the image of the marker. A common coordinate frame is then determined using the transformation, the shared AR session is generated using the common coordinate frame, and the shared AR session is caused to be displayed by the first device and by the second device. Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system that can be used to classify a feedback image in a user review into a semantically meaningful class. During operation, the system analyzes the captions of feedback images in a set of user reviews and determines a set of training labels from the captions. The system then trains an image classifier with the set of training labels and the feedback images. Subsequently, the system generates a signature for a respective feedback image in a new set of user reviews using the image classifier. The signature indicates a likelihood of the image matching a respective label in the set of training labels. Based on the signature, the system can allocate the image to an image cluster.

Abstract: Techniques for enabling the configuration of a voting block for use in a process control system of a process plant are described. According to certain aspects, the voting block may have a voting scheme that dictates an output based on a set of inputs, where the voting block may be configured parametrically using various control selections that direct the behavior of the voting scheme. In particular, a bypass degrade selection may be specified for one or more inputs that controls whether a “bypass” input degrades the voting scheme, a status degrade selection may be specified for one or more inputs that controls whether a “bad” input degrades the voting scheme, and a trip enable selection may be specified that controls whether a trip occurs automatically under certain conditions. The control selections enable the voting blocks to be configured to conform with various specifications and other requirements.
