  • Patent number: 9733824
Abstract: A graphical user interface is provided for navigating and/or manipulating content simply via touch of a touch-sensitive surface. The content may include discrete content items (e.g., songs, video clips, documents, web pages) and/or actions (e.g., place a call, read a message, play a game), and may or may not be hierarchical in nature. The interface may be presented on a touch-screen display, such that a user may navigate to a content item or action via a single touch on the display (e.g., with a finger or other tool), followed by gliding through any number of levels or clusters of nodes (representing content items, content compilations/categories and/or actions). The desired content item or action may be initiated automatically (e.g., opened, performed) simply by touching it, by lifting the gliding finger or by performing some other input (e.g., tapping a node, speaking a command, touching with a second finger).

  • Patent number: 9575640
Abstract: Complex collaboration or decision support applications perform complex design or planning tasks, often with the input of large groups of people over long periods of time. The combination of time and complexity can often obscure past actions, making it difficult to remember the factors that influenced earlier stages in the planning task. This is especially true if the task involves many people and different people work at different times. The application state navigation system provides an application-independent mechanism that allows operators to walk back through the history of the application in order to better understand (or remember) the application actions that were taken in the past and the triggers for those actions.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to a method for adapting graphic representation on a user interface of a computer user station for the graphic representation of data of an industrial processing plant. Input signals received on or at the computer user station result in a size change of the graphic representation by zooming of the predefinable display region on the user interface or the selection of an object field of the graphic representation. The object field being located in the graphic representation at an associated object field position, for display or user interaction. With the selection of an object field for display or user interaction, the size of the object field on the user interface is fixed for display or user interaction, even if zooming of the graphic representation results in other data of the graphic representation not being readable or activatable by a user.
