Abstract: A system for generating a report having varying integrated levels of medical information related to a health condition is provided. The system comprises a host server having a host database and a client component that connects to the host server. The client component includes a report software application that is configured to generate a report and provide a GUI on the display. A processor populates the GUI based upon received and processed medical information from the host server component and arranges the medical information in predetermined, inter-related levels. A cursor is provided to allow the user to point to an area of interest in the display and a further level of information pertaining to one or more layers of medical information is viewable by a user when the cursor is pointed over an image on the display.

Abstract: A system and method for dynamic modification and generation of data. One embodiment includes an annotation server that is connected to a user and a content provider. The annotation server is configured to modify a copy of an enterprise's stored Web content without necessarily modifying the actual stored Web content. The annotation server then provides the modified content to the user for viewing or other use.

Abstract: Systems and methods that manage financial market data with hidden information. The systems and methods may receive market data about a plurality of financial instruments. The plurality of financial instruments comprises at least two different kinds of financial instruments. Hidden information is generated, based on the market data. The hidden information is viewable only after scrolling a cursor over a graphical element. The systems and methods also generate, based on the market data, a first graphical element that is embedded with hidden information. The first graphical element is displayed on a display. An indication is received indicating that the cursor has scrolled over the first graphical element. In response to the indication, the hidden information that is embedded in the first graphical element is displayed on the display.

Abstract: A list search method and a mobile terminal that implements the list search method are provided. In the list search method, a plurality of search areas for outputting a plurality of index groups respectively are output in a display area where at least one list is output. The index groups include independent indexes or indexes linked with each other. Such operation occurs without screen switching and thereby enables a mobile terminal to implement a list search quickly and easily.

Abstract: A computing system provides a graphical user interface having hierarchically-organized control galleries. The computing system displays the graphical user interface on a display device. The graphical user interface contains a document area and a control ribbon. The document area contains at least a portion of a document that a user is editing. The control ribbon includes a class control gallery. The class control gallery includes a plurality of class controls associated with different classes of related commands. The computing system displays a variation control gallery containing variation controls in a class associated with a selected one of the class controls. In response to a selection of a variation control in the variation control gallery, the computing system applies a command associated with the variation control to a document in the document area.

Abstract: A method for providing scripts to customer representatives includes the steps of: receiving from a client computer information identifying a customer, a product, and a workflow; determining a script based on the received product and workflow information; obtaining the determined script, the script comprising text and variables, from a database; replacing the variables in the determined script with text in accordance with at least the received customer identification information to provide a customized script; and providing the customized script to the client computer for display.

The light functions include providing an indication of the age of a received message that was sent by a contact in the contacts list. The age of the message is indicated by a modulation of the illuminating light. In one embodiment, the age of a message is indicated as one of a set of predetermined age ranges, with each age range being represented by a unique color.

Abstract: A user is provided with guidelines that are temporarily displayed with content, in order to assist the user in accurately writing electronic ink. The guidelines may appear when the user moves a writing tool close to a display and writing surface. Alternately, the guidelines may appear after the user has begun to write electronic ink, so that the guidelines can correspond to the angle at which the user is writing, the size of the user's handwriting, or both. As the user writes the electronic ink onto the writing surface, the handwritten electronic ink is added to the content being rendered on the display. After the user has finished writing electronic ink and moves the writing tool away from the writing surface, the guidelines may be deleted. Accordingly, the user can employ the temporary guidelines without the guidelines themselves becoming a permanent part of the content.

Abstract: An application hosting a browser modifies its own functionality in some manner based on whether particular content (e.g., an identifier) is present in a document for rendering by the browser. In one embodiment, a financial statement page for rendering via the hosted browser is scanned to determine if an identifier corresponding to a download button is present. If present, the host application provides an alternate download button that does not scroll off the screen as the page is scrolled. The present invention also suppresses a dialog box (e.g., the open/save dialog box) when a request for a certain file type is made by a hosted browser. For example, a request for download of financial information suppresses the open/save dialog box, and automatically opens the downloaded file.

Abstract: The present invention is a system that provides a user with a pan-zoom tool that is controlled by a limited input device, such as a pen or stylus, of a pen based computer. The pan-zoom tool is a semitransparent, bull's eye type tracking menu that tracks the position of the pen. A pen-cursor or tracking symbol that corresponds to the location of the pen is allowed to move about within a pan-zoom tool graphic. The tool is moved when the location of the pen encounters a tracking boundary of the tool at an exterior edge of the menu. While moving within the pen-mouse the pen can select pan and zoom functions located in concentric rings of the tool graphic as the active function of the tool. Once one of the pan or zoom functions is activated motion of the pen on the surface of the display is interpreted as corresponding pan or zoom control commands, the tool is becomes transparent and the tracking symbol is replaced by a corresponding pan or zoom icon.

Abstract: A system, method, and improved user interface for operating a computerized task management database, typically running on a networked server-client system such as the Internet. The system is designed to simultaneously present, on a single user interface screen, often running within a web browser, key items such as the worker (task assignee) name, and key task information items relevant to the various tasks that are assigned to this worker. Such key task information can include, for example, for each given task, the task name or distinguishing task commentary, and an instant update on the status of the task, which will usually contain at least a latest comment field that contains the most recent communication between the task worker and the task manager. The invention conserves user working memory by presenting key comments for multiple tasks on a single screen, enabling better user comprehension of complex projects.

If a parameter is not satisfied, subsequent markers can be created as a function of the rendered marker. The subsequent markers can be rendered when a condition associated with the subsequent marker is satisfied.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses enable providing a structured business query interface to receive a structured business query. The interface can be provided as an extension to a business productivity application. The query is made without having to change context from the application to another program, but rather can be made within the context of the application. The query triggers access to a backend, which may result in accessing a data object that is inserted or embedded into the application, or a document of the application. In one embodiment, a business process extension is also available to the application, which enables a task pane within the application with other features and/or data. In one embodiment, related data can be accessed in response to selecting the inserted data object, which can provide additional information on the data object without leaving the context of the application.

Abstract: A user-activatable dashboard (also referred to as a unified interest layer) contains any number of user interface elements, referred to herein as “widgets,” for quick access by a user. In response to a command from a user, the dashboard is invoked and the widgets are shown on the screen. The user can activate the dashboard at any time, causing the dashboard to temporarily replace the existing user interface display on the user's screen. Once the dashboard has been activated, the user can interact with any or all of the widgets, and can configure the dashboard by adding, deleting, moving, or configuring individual widgets as desired. When the user wishes to return to the normal user interface he or she was working with, the user issues a command causing the dashboard to be dismissed. Once the dashboard has been dismissed, the previous user interface state is restored, allowing the user to resume normal interactions with the operating system.

As the subject matter of the media object changes during rendering, different advertisements related to the new context are provided that replace the prior advertisement. The system provides recommendations related to the prioritization of paying certain bills and the amount to pay for each bill based upon, for example, savings goals, the community recommendation, minimizing penalties/fees associated with user's debts, minimum amounts due, due dates and available income. Abstract: The present invention is a system that includes a tracking menu that tracks the movement of a position transducer, such as a stylus or a mouse, as the transducer is moved about in association with a display. The menu is typically displayed on top of other objects in the display. The menu includes a tracking symbol, such as an arrow or cursor, positioned corresponding to inputs from the transducer as it is moved by a user. A mobile tracking region is also included. This tracking region has a tracking boundary or edge enclosing the tracking symbol where the tracking symbol is movable within the boundary or hits without the menu moving. Abstract: A user-activatable dashboard (also referred to as a unified interest layer) contains any number of user interface elements, referred to herein as “widgets,” for quick access by a user. In response to a command from a user, the dashboard is invoked and the widgets are shown on the screen. The user can activate the dashboard at any time, causing the dashboard to temporarily replace the existing user interface display on the user's screen. Once the dashboard has been activated, the user can interact with any or all of the widgets, and can configure the dashboard by adding, deleting, moving, or configuring individual widgets as desired. When the user wishes to return to the normal user interface he or she was working with, the user issues a command causing the dashboard to be dismissed.
