Publication number: 20090038139Abstract: The invention relates to a device for finishworking of a forming tool for an auto body sheet metal part in which, in a first working step for identifying a surface region of a tool surface to be remachined, a sheet metal part which has been coated with a marking paint can be formed in a pressing process by means of the tool and, using the color impression of the sheet metal part on the tool surface, the surface region which is to be remachined is acquired, and then in a second working step the surface region to be remachined can be remachined by a corresponding surface treatment. According to the invention, the device has a machining apparatus which electronically acquires the tool surface with the color impression and, depending on the intensity of the color impression, determines the location and/or dimension of the surface area to be remachined and remachines it accordingly.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2008Publication date: February 12, 2009Inventors: Ing Matthias KERSCHNER, Hubert Waltl, Hornig Martin, Nadine Mahler

Patent number: 7461533Abstract: A forging apparatus 1A includes a swaging apparatus 2 equipped with a fixing die 10, a guide 20 having an insertion passage 22 for inserting and holding a bar-shaped raw material 5 in a buckling preventing state, and a punch 30. The raw material 5 is fixed to the fixing die 10 with the one end portion of the raw material protruded. The one end portion of the raw material 5 is inserted into the insertion passage 22 of the guide 20. Thereafter, while pressing the raw material 5 with the punch 30 in the axial direction, in a state in which an entire peripheral surface of the exposed portion 8 of the raw material 5 exposed between the guide 20 and the fixing die 10 is not restrained, the guide 20 is moved in a direction opposite to the moving direction of the punch 30 so that a length of the exposed portion 8 of the raw material 5 becomes a budding limit length or less at a cross-sectional area of the exposed portion 8 of the raw material 5.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2004Date of Patent: December 9, 2008Assignee: Showa Denko K.K.Inventors: Atsushi Otaki, Hidemitsu Hamano

Publication number: 20080276681Abstract: The invention relates to a new preparation technique of composites, in details, i.e. a method of producing laminated composite materials of different alloys. In the preparation method, the bi-layer or multi-layer composites are prepared by means of the equal channel angular extrusion/pressure (ECAE/ECAP). Firstly, the appropriate alloys pairs or groups are selected, and the rational arrangements are carried out after pre-treating surfaces; then, the clad process is performed by extrusion and shear deformation in ECAE die; finally, the composite material is produced after one single pass or multiple passes clad extrusion. The annealing treatment can be performed subsequently to enhance the interfacial bonding strength by diffusion after the clad extrusion, and the heat treatment parameters consist of annealing temperature and holding time, which are chosen carefully to meet the demands of the refining microstructures and good properties for both the interfaces and individual component metals.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2007Publication date: November 13, 2008Inventors: Enhou Han, Xibo Liu, Rongshi Chen
