Abstract: Advertisement preparation methods and systems are shown and disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes reviewing metadata of an advertisement. The metadata includes duration information for the advertisement, and determining actual duration of the advertisement. The method additionally includes determining whether the duration information matches the actual duration of the advertisement, and editing the advertisement when the duration information does not match the actual duration such that the actual duration of the edited advertisement matches the duration information.

Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) platform for the Internet of Things (IoT) is disclosed. The AR platform enables a user to associate AR objects with IoT devices. These associations may further enable a user to direct a control input to a particular IoT device and receive outputs such as sensor measurements or state information from the IoT device via interaction with an associated AR object. These AR objects may be perceived by the user via a client device, such as via an AR viewer or other human interface. The AR platform further enables users to create shareable objects that define an association among or between multiple AR objects and their IoT devices that can be shared with and modified by other users.

Abstract: This application discloses a terminal device grouping method. The method may include: First, a network device groups, one or more times according to a grouping rule, terminal devices associated with a first paging occasion PO. Then, the network device notifies all terminal devices associated with the first PO of the grouping rule and power saving signal receiving location information of each group of terminal devices. Next, the terminal device determines, according to the grouping rule, a group number of a group to which the terminal device belongs, and determines, based on the group number, a power saving signal receiving location corresponding to the group number.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is disclosed for training neural networks of a group recommender to provide item recommendations for ephemeral groups having group interaction sparsity. A preference encoder and aggregator generate user and group preference embeddings from user-item interactions, wherein the preference embeddings form a latent user-group latent embedding space.

Abstract: Systems methods and devices are provided for a presentation including a communications console with component aggregation. In one potential implementation, a computing device with an application framework receives a communication manager object via a network connectivity device and executes the communication manager object within the application framework. The computing device may then receive and execute communications components and a presentation components within the application framework using the communication manager object. The communication manager object may then manages interface and display of the presentation information via the application framework, as modified by communication components.

Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying, assembling, and transmitting content are described in the illustrative context of electronic program guides and program channels. Data is received over a network from a first user terminal that enables identification of the first user. Program information for a digital program is accessed. A determination is made as to how many interstitials are to be presented during a playback of the digital program. A prediction model is selected and executed to generate predictions of user responses to one or more placements of program interstitials. The user response predictions are used to determine positioning of interstitials with respect to the program. The interstitials are enabled to be displayed on the first user terminal in accordance with the determined positioning.

The 3D representation includes individual 3D media elements representing objects included in the 2D scene. 3D void segments within the 2D scene are identified based on an aggregation of the individual 3D media elements. The 3D void segments are prioritized for insertion of additional 3D media elements within the 3D void spaces based on a variety of factors including lighting present at the 3D void segment, a distance of the 3D void segment from a center of the 2D scene, a size of the 3D void segment, and a time duration the 3D void segment is present in the 2D scene. Abstract: A programmable and universal video platform enabling digital ads from ad sales teams, online digital exchanges, demand side platforms or other digital video advertising aggregators, to be inserted into linear television cable programming feeds. Content programmers distribute a programming schedule file for each linear programming feed. This data is then combined in the traffic and billing system with the advertising insertion orders from the various sales channels to create a local ad insertion schedule file. This schedule file includes a planned ad spot, but a time-based approach to ad insertion allows the schedule file to be modified such that the planned ad spot can be replaced with a replacement ad selected using the VAST digital ad selection protocol. Detection of the standard cue message in the programming feed triggers insertion of the replacement ad from the modified schedule file.

A method may include a first device determining a first bandwidth demand associated with a second device sending a first addressable advertisement using a data over cable service interface specification (DOCSIS) bandwidth using a first advertisement spot for a first linear segment addressability (LSA) television channel, and determining a second bandwidth demand associated with the second device sending a second addressable advertisement using the DOCSIS bandwidth for presentation using a second advertisement spot. The method may include determining that the first bandwidth demand is below a threshold bandwidth, and determining that the second bandwidth demand exceeds the threshold bandwidth.

Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for the insertion of assets into COD content. In one embodiment, a COD asset decision system (ADS) identifies asset insertion opportunities within COD contents selected by a plurality user equipment (UEs) over a network, identifies assets for insertion into the asset insertion opportunities, ranks the assets, selects portions of the ranked assets for insertion to generate asset maps, and directs the insertion of the selected assets into the asset insertion opportunities based on the asset maps. The COD ADS is further operable to generate viewing statistics of the UEs, and to change the asset maps based on the viewing statistics.

This may be accomplished by a device monitoring consumption of a content series to determine a pattern of consumption. The device may identify a change in the pattern of consumption indicative of a reduction of interest and determine a reason for the reduction in interest. Based on the reason for the reduction of interest, the device may provide an operation, such as a spoiler, to increase interest in the content series.

Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for Content On Demand (COD) asset insertion. A COD asset insertion decision system (CODAID) is communicatively coupled to a content distributer to process information about COD content selections by Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs). An auction system is communicatively coupled to the CODAID and to a plurality of asset providers to process information about assets of the providers, to provide an auction for asset opportunities in the COD content selections, to receive bids for the asset opportunities, and to rank the auctioned assets according to bid. The CODAID further ranks the auctioned assets based in part on the COD content selection information and the asset information, identifies one or more of the further ranked assets for insertion into the COD content selection, and directs the content distributer to insert the identified one or more further ranked assets into the COD content selection.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to privacy enforcement via localized personalization. An example device may comprise at least a user interface to present content. A message may be received into a trusted execution environment (TEE) situated within the device or remotely, the message including at least metadata and content. The TEE may determine relevance of the content to a user based on the metadata and user data. Based on the relevance, the TEE may cause the content to be presented to the user via the user interface. In one embodiment, the TEE may be able to personalize the content based on the user data prior to presentation. If the content includes an offer, the TEE may also be able to present counteroffers to the user based on user interaction with the content. The TEE may also be able to cause feedback data to be transmitted to at least the content provider.

A user profile may be identified as active at a television receiver based on the user profile being mapped to a current television viewing session. A plurality of content items that have been output for presentation while the user profile is active may be tracked across a plurality of television viewing sessions. A set of insertion rules may be evaluated that are mapped to a content item. The content item may be determined to have met an output threshold for the user profile. An alternative piece of content may be selected for insertion based on the set of insertion rules and determining that the content item has met the output threshold for the user profile.
