Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for automated extraction of product data from production data of visual media content are presented. Production documents are received from a publisher of visual media content. The production documents contain information related to inventory items used in the production of the visual media content. Data, which represents shoppable items, is extracted from the production documents. The extracted data is used to create an index of shoppable items associated with the visual media content. The index includes metadata associated with the shoppable items. User provided data indicating a desired shoppable item from the visual media content is received. The desired shoppable item is identified and item information for the desired shoppable item is produced.

Abstract: There are provided mechanisms for signalling asymmetric media capabilities using session description protocol, SDP, signalling. Media capabilities for at least one of sending media streams and receiving media streams are generated by a first electronic device. The first electronic device also generating an SDP offer comprising media descriptions for at least one media stream based on the acquired media capabilities. At least one media stream in the SDP offer is represented by at least two media descriptions. The at least two media descriptions represent asymmetric media capabilities in relation to each other. A first SDP message comprising the generated SDP offer is sent to a second electronic device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for substituting an updated segment of media guidance data that no longer includes a selected media asset identifier with another segment of media guidance data that includes the selected media asset identifier. A media guidance application may determine, following an update to a segment of media guidance data, that a selected media asset identifier, associated with a given media asset classifier, is no longer included in the updated segment of media guidance data. The media guidance application may retrieve another segment of media guidance data that is associated with the given media asset classifier and that includes the selected media asset identifier.

Abstract: A content annotation tool is disclosed. In a configuration, a portion of a movie may be obtained from a database. Entities, such as an actor, background music, text, etc. may be automatically identified in the movie. A user, such as a content producer, may associate and/or provide supplemental content for an identified entity to the database. A selection of one or more automatically identified entities may be received. A database entry may be generated that links the identified entity with the supplemental content. The selected automatically identified one or more entities and//or supplemental content associated therewith may be presented to an end user.

Abstract: Provided are mechanisms and processes for performing live filtering in a camera view via client-server communication. In one example, a first video frame in a raw video stream is transmitted from a client device to a server. The client device receives a filter processing message associated with the first video frame that includes filter data for applying a filter to the first video frame. A processor at the client device creates a filtered video stream by applying the filter to a second video frame that occurs in the video stream later than the first video frame.

Abstract: This application is directed to a method implemented on a computing device for supplementing a live broadcast displayed at a client device. The computing device analyzes descriptive information for the live broadcast and generates first keywords related to the live broadcast from the descriptive information. The computing device receives a plurality of live information streams independent from the live broadcast, and automatically without user intervention, extracts second keywords from the plurality of events. The computing device determines the relevance of each event in the plurality of events to the live broadcast by correlating the first keywords generated from the descriptive information of the live broadcast and the second keywords extracted from the plurality of events, thereby selecting a subset of the plurality of events. Information representing the subset of events is formatted for display.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating shared access-right evaluation using linked communication channels are provided. A first communication can be received over a first communication link from a first user device, and a second communication can be received over a second communication link from a second user device. The first and second communications can include requests for the assignment of access rights. Map data can be generated and transmitted to each of the first and second user devices. Each user device can display a visual representation of access-right data. Further, a communication session can be facilitated between the first user device and the second user device. The communication session can be presented on the visual representation for each user device so that the first user and the second user can collaboratively evaluate access rights.

The systems and methods disclose solutions to the problem of incorporating user video commenting systems regardless of framework, type of user device, or browser type. A digital asset can include such video commenting systems within expandable advertisements. Furthermore, such submitted videos can be moderated automatically via an interactive moderation interface.

Some of the candidate video files are integrated to be a complete program, and these candidate video files may be grouped into a channel set for users to watch.

The server system then extracts second keywords from the plurality of events. The server system then determines the relevance of each event in the plurality of events to the live broadcast by correlating the first and second keywords. The server system then transmits the relevant events to a client device.

Abstract: A data storage management and scheduling system schedules the recording, storing, and deleting of television and Web page program material on a client system storage medium. A schedule of time versus available storage space is generated that is optimal for the viewer's scheduled program recordings. The programs include television broadcast programs and Universal Resource Locators (URLs). A program is recorded if at all times between when the recording would be initiated and when it expires, sufficient space is available to hold it. All scheduling conflicts are resolved as early as possible.

Based on the resolution parameters of the device, a selection is made as to a version of the content item to recommend from a plurality of versions of the content item. In one embodiment, a method for indexing a video stream comprises accessing a video stream comprising a plurality of frames. For each frame, the method determines salient points computes a cross entropy value for each salient point, and sums the cross entropy values to form a frame information number. A sequence of frame information numbers for the plurality of frames in the video streams forms an index value for the video stream.

A primary tuner may tune the primary event whenever possible and a secondary tuner may tune the secondary event whenever possible. Sporting events may be assigned user profile scores and tuned away from in reverse priority order. An interactive scoreboard may also be displayed with various game status and alert icons. The interactive scoreboard may allow a viewer to quickly tune between high-interest sporting events. Sports-specific features, such as wagering and fantasy league support, are also provided.

Each of the objects include an object name and information regarding the meaning of the object, are generated. Then, scene sections are set based on the keywords and related information is searched for each scene section. The related information identified by the search is synchronized with the corresponding scene section and then provided to a user.

Abstract: A system and method for creating and managing custom media channels within an Interactive Digital Program Guide (IDPG) of a device having a set-top box function associated with a cable or satellite television network. In general, a user interacts with the set-top box function to define a custom media channel. The custom media channel may be defined by a channel name and user preferences. Once the custom media channel is defined, an Internet search is performed based on the user preferences in order to identify media presentations for the custom media channel. Thereafter, when a user selects the custom media channel via the IDPG, the media presentations are played in a substantially continuous stream in either a predetermined or random sequence.
