  • Patent number: 11085529
Abstract: An axle drive device for a motor vehicle, having at least one drive assembly that is in operative connection with an input shaft of a shift transmission connecting the drive assembly to a wheel axle. The shift transmission a multiple-speed draw key transmission, having a draw key that, in different positions, establishes different transmission ratios between the input shaft and an output shaft of the shift transmission, wherein the draw key is connected to a centrifugal force regulator that shifts the draw key in dependence on a rotational speed of the input shaft or a rotational speed of the output shaft.

  • Patent number: 9611925
Abstract: A torque converter in which the standard one-way clutch, otherwise known as an overrunning brake, on the reactor, otherwise known as a stator, is replaced with a jaw clutch. When the jaw clutch is engaged, the reactor is non-rotate. When the jaw clutch is disengaged, the reactor spins freely. The jaw clutch can be placed on the same hydraulic fluid circuit as a bypass clutch.

  • Patent number: 9227628
Abstract: A vehicle includes a powertrain having an engine and an electric machine (M/G) connected by an upstream clutch, and a gearbox connected to the M/G by a torque converter. A controller is configured to, in response to a Park or Neutral gear selection and an electrical power request from the M/G, operate the engine at an engine speed and an engine torque based on the request and M/G speed and torque for improved powertrain efficiency. A method is provided for controlling a vehicle. In response to a Park or Neutral gear selection and an electrical power request from the M/G, the engine is operated at an engine speed and an engine torque based on the request and M/G speed and torque for improved powertrain efficiency.

  • Patent number: 8931598
Abstract: A mechanism for use in an elevator governor assembly including a ground configured to rotate about a ground axis, three or more circumferentially overlapping cams each pivotally attached to the ground at one of three or more ground pivot points radially spaced from the ground axis, and a plurality of links pivotally attaching the three or more cams to one another at a plurality of link pivot points. The circumferentially overlapping cams form a substantially contiguous circular ring about the ground axis. The interconnection of the ground, the cams, and the links form a generally circular mechanism.

  • Patent number: 8219272
Abstract: A method for controlling a vehicle drive unit, which comprises at least two individual drives, at least one of which is able to provide a negative torque. A vehicle control unit is provided, within which a continuous torque comparison is performed within a monitoring level. A permissible torque is ascertained therein. Using a torque range checker it is established whether ascertained setpoint torques lie within torque ranges of the at least two individual drives.
