Interrelated Lever Release Patents (Class 74/529)
  • Patent number: 3975972
Abstract: The adjustable pedal construction may be used, as an example, as a brake pedal, clutch pedal, accelerator pedal, or any other type of pedal intended for use in a vehicle, which is manually or power operated, for actuating purposes. The pedal construction includes an upper pedal part assembly and a lower part pedal part assembly, with the upper pedal part assembly being conventionally pivoted on an existing vehicle pedal bracket thereby requiring no change in the corresponding brake, clutch or accelerator operating linkage. The upper and lower pedal part assemblies include plates which are pivotally connected by a pivot pin. A releasable latching, connecting or locking pin is interposed between the upper and lower pedal part assemblies to permit adjustment therebetween.

  • Patent number: 3973550
Abstract: A simplified and reliable shut-down device for stationary diesel engines and the like employs a solenoid whose armature is carried directly by a manually operable reset rod having a locking element therein for cooperation with a vibration-proof latch means on the shell or casing of the solenoid. A push-pull cable attached to the reset rod serves to pull the rack or other fuel control member of the engine to immediately shut down the engine responsive to spring force on the reset rod opposing the holding force of the solenoid. The device is electrically fail-safe, as any interruption of electrical power to the solenoid coil will result in immediate engine shut down.

  • Patent number: 3942390
Abstract: A track laying tractor has a front mounted engine and rear mounted pair of transmissions and right-angle drive units, each transmission and driveunit being provided for one of the two tracks. A single engine output shaft provides input for the two transmissions, through gearbelts, and output speed reducing sprockets and chains are employed between the transmissions and gear boxes for the necessary speed reduction. There are two self-centering track control handles, the left-hand handle controlling the left-hand track, and the right-hand handle controlling the right-hand track.
