Abstract: The automatic transmission, which is intended for motor vehicles in particular, has an internal gear pump for supplying a hydrodynamic converter, a lubricating device and control and actuation devices of the automatic transmission, via a main pressure valve. An excess flow returns from the main pressure valve back to the internal gear pump via a feed channel (18). The feed channel (18) has a cross section which is steadily reduced in the direction toward the internal gear pump and has a feed nozzle (20) on its end facing the internal gear wheel pump. The feed channel (18) with its feed nozzle (20) terminates near the suction zone of the internal gear pump in a suction channel (14) connected with a reservoir. To simplify manufacture and to improve the function, the latter, in particular with a view to an advantageous charging of the internal gear pump, the feed channel (18) and the feed channel (20), are cast in the pump housing (1) by the lost-wax method.

The present mechanism secures to the camper structure, and has an output shaft which engages the conventional crank input of the camper vehicle. The crank drive mechanism comprises a gear speed reduction unit, which reduces the input speed and multiplies the input torque considerably, in order to allow a relatively small and lightweight battery operated power tool (cordless electric drill, power screwdriver, etc.) to be used to operate the reduction mechanism. Abstract: An improved automatic transmission has a reverse gear piston which can be engaged as a transmission brake. The piston is movable in a first direction and has a surface. A hydraulic means supplies transmission fluid to a space between the surface and the housing to engage the piston and removes the hydraulic fluid from the space to disengage the piston thereby releasing the transmission brake. In one embodiment, the hydraulic means has a passageway with the first cross-sectional area through the housing and a second cross-sectional area larger than the first cross-sectional area in the housing that is exposed to the space thereby reducing friction between the fluid and the second cross-section which reduces the release time of the fluid from the space. Abstract: A casement and awning window operator consisting of four parts, a top cover, a base, a worm gear receivable in a pocket on the base and top and a geared actuating arm engaging the worm gear having an integral arm extending out of the operator. The cover is secured to the base by an adhesive applied to matching surfaces of the cover and base trapping the worm gear therein. The cover and base are made from two plastic halves in a generally horizontal parting plane thus presenting a large adhesive contact area in a plane putting the contact surfaces in shear and allowing insertion of the gear and arm prior to assembly. The cover and base may have molded parts providing a spring-like effect to control the friction of the operator to prevent it from rotating out of a set position.

Abstract: A gearbox (1) is formed by two steel plates (3,5) which support molded elements (such as 13b and combined 35e, 33e). A separate molding operation is performed on each plate, in which a plurality of individual molded parts are molded. The precise positioning is from the mold, not the plate. The liquid plastic is bound to the plate by entering a plurality of holes (such as 66 and 66a) for each part. The plates are then populated and then held together by screws (72a-72d). A bevel gear (31) is mounted on the outside by molded supports (29a, 29b) and by contact with gear (36) with which it meshes.

Abstract: A flexible gear support for a PTO gear box for an internal combustion engine is a relatively inexpensive unitary structure comprising two concentrically spaced rings which are engaged together by a flexible web extending therebetween. The gear support replaces very expensive ball bearings of precise tolerance which support a main input gear of the PTO unit during assembly and testing thereof. Further, a ring shipping spacer may be used with the gear support, if desired, to accommodate any shock loads during shipping and handling should the particular gear support be of a spring rate insufficient to accommodate such shocks.

Abstract: In a gear which can be flanged onto an electric motor, especially a low-clearance planetary gear, with a hollow shaft to make a positive connection with the electric motor output shaft, an easily manufactured and reliable centering system is to be provided between the gear and the electric motor (6). To this end, the section of the hollow shaft (9) accepting the output shaft (10) of the electric motor is centrically secured on roller bearings (11) and the face of the drive flange is radially freely centerable (7, 8) in relation to the mating surface of the electric motor. • Patent number: 5791204
Abstract: A position detecting device includes a ring gear that is disposed on an outer side of an output shaft of a motor and rotates with the rotation of the output shaft, fixed contact terminals fixed to a cover plate, and a rotary contact terminal provided on a ring gear. As the ring gear rotates, the fixed contact terminals and the rotary contact terminal are brought into contact with each other, thereby detecting a rotational position of the output shaft. The position detecting device further includes a clutch mechanism for preventing the rotation of the ring gear by more than a predetermined degree while permitting the rotation of the output shaft of the motor in the state of contact. Hence, even if the output shaft of the motor is rotated sufficiently, this state of contact is maintained.

Abstract: A self closing valve for use with an engine that prevents the loss of fluid from a transmission connected to the engine when a magnetic chip detector is removed from the transmission housing. The self closing valve and magnetic chip detector being integrated together to form a magnetic chip detection system that provides an indicating signal to the operator of an aircraft when magnetically attractable debris is detected in the transmission. Abstract: An automatic transmission has a reduced axial dimension and includes a mission case portion providing a mounting surface for a valve body. Forces generated by a hydraulic servo in operation of a brake are confined to the inside of a rear cover joined to the mission case. An extension protrudes from the rear cover and extends into the interior of the mission case with a multi-plate brake splined thereto. The force generated in operation of the brake is received by the cylinder as a reaction force.
