  • Patent number: 11959586
Abstract: An attachable foot assembly designed to be attached to a lower portion of a camera tripod stand leg is provided. The bottom surface of the foot attachment is interchangeable and is chosen depending on the environment in which the tripod is to be used. For example, if the tripod is to be used for lateral movement upon a smooth ground surface (e.g., carpeted floors, hardwood floors, tiled surfaces, natural grass, AstroTurf, etc.), the bottom surface of the foot attachments may be chosen to be wide, convex, and smooth to enable the tripod to smoothly slide laterally upon the surface. In addition, the attachable foot assembly includes a rotatable mount enabling the attachment to fit upon tripod legs at various angles and to move over uneven surfaces.

  • Patent number: 9829265
Abstract: A shooting rest may be provided. The shooting rest may reduce the recoil, muzzle rise, and shock wave from firing a rifle or other weapon. A target may remain in the cross hairs while shooting, thus facilitating target memory or easy and fast target re-acquisition. When testing the amount of powder in a casing and weight of bullet in a reloaded round, the shooting rest may help eliminate movement variables so assessment of reloaded ammunition can be more accurately observed. The shooting rest may include a rear support, a front support, a frame, and a lock down bar to secure the front support to a shooting bench or table. The rear support may prevent the muzzle from moving upward and the front support may absorb some of the recoil energy to keep the target in sight. The frame may be secured by the lock down bar and may connect the front support to the table. Safety may be greatly enhanced by having the gun secured to a table during cleaning and maintenance operations.

  • Patent number: 8459171
Abstract: A mount assembly for a semi-automatic firearm supports the weight of a firing unit (receiver, barrel and trigger) in a slide stand on or from a support structure so that a user does not have to bear any or at least a significant portion of the firearm's weight. Through a sliding interface, the firing unit is manually pushed by a user's thumb(s) to slide forward in the slide stand until a trigger actuator depresses the trigger. The trigger actuator may include a rod or a rest for a user's finger. Recoil energy from a discharged bullet pushes the firing unit rearwardly back to the starting position. The slide stand can include a convex or articulating base for variable aiming, or a fixed base for sharp-shooting.

  • Patent number: 8443540
Abstract: A bipod kit for a firearm has a bipod leg mounting body and a firearm structural component. The bipod leg mounting body has a substantially round central passage defining an interior side surface thereof and has two leg mounting structures on an exterior side surface thereof generally opposite the interior side surface. The firearm structural component is mountable on the firearm at an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) mounting structure thereof. The firearm structural component includes a bipod mounting portion integral therewith. The bipod mounting portion is cylindrical and is rotatably mounted within the central passage of the bipod leg mounting body. The bipod mounting portion is configured such that a barrel of the firearm extends through a central passage thereof when the firearm structural component is mounted on the firearm at the OEM mounting structure thereof.

  • Patent number: 8393104
Abstract: Adapter devices, apparatus, systems and methods of allowing a firearm to be supported by a foldable fore grip/gun handle. The fore grip gun handle can have bipod type legs that can be extendable from the handle. The fore grip handle can be just a vertical extension. The adapter can allow for the fore grip/gun handle to move from a fold back position along the bottom of the firearm so that the firearm can be easily carried, and the adapter to can allow for the handle to move down to a vertical support position beneath the firearm when the firearm is to be used. The adapter can also support a light in both a folded position and in a downwardly extended position, where light can be aimed forward, rearward to the side and/or pointed down from the firearm. The adapter can allow for a dual functioning component that can be either or both a fore grip and/or a light source.

  • Publication number: 20130000477
Abstract: A method and apparatus for dampening vibration forces being transmitted from a vehicle to a firearm mount and firearm to permit substantially vibration free aiming and firing of the firearm from the moving vehicle. A support member supports a pliable membrane and permits flexing movement of a region of the membrane in response to vibration forces. A firearm mount is secured to a flexing region of the membrane. Vibration forces transmitted from the vehicle to the firearm mount are dampened by flexing of the membrane due to the mass of the firearm thereby permitting the firearm to remain stabilized for accurate aiming and firing.

  • Patent number: 8341866
Abstract: Foldable and flippable adapter devices, apparatus, systems and methods of attaching accessories to firearm rails. Accessories can include fore grips, and lights. Adapters can include a slidable thumb switch for locking a swinging plate with side rails to a main plate, and spring loaded detents for locking the swinging plate in substantially vertical orientations. A folding rail adapter can be substituted for the existing rail system on firearms to allow the rail to be directly attached to the firearm. A flipping rail adapter can have a pivotal lever which supports a folding rail in an open position. Springably biased detent pins allow the lever to lock open. Pushing the lever back will overcome the springs so that the pins can pass out of the detents allowing the folding rail to move to a folded position.
