Abstract: A motorcycle tire is provided in each half of the tread portion with main and auxiliary oblique grooves. The main oblique grooves on both sides of the tire equator are staggered and have axially inner ends at a first axial distance of 1 to 4 mm from the tire equator. The auxiliary oblique grooves have axially inner ends at a second axial distance more than the first axial distance. The main oblique groove comprises an axially inner part inclining at an angle of not more than 30 degrees and a middle part inclining at a larger angle of from 25 to 70 degrees. The auxiliary oblique groove comprises an axially inner part inclining at an angle of 25 to 55 degrees and a middle part inclining at a larger angle of from 45 to 75 degrees, each angle with respect to the tire circumferential direction.
Abstract: A tire for motorcycles includes a tread band in which a tread pattern is formed which includes a series of transverse grooves disposed at least laterally of the equatorial plane. The tread pattern on the whole defines a low sea/land ratio on the tread band. The series of transverse grooves includes a plurality of main recesses having an overall length at least equal to one fourth of a lateral extension of the tread band. The main recesses define with the equatorial plane, an angle less than or equal to 65°, substantially over the entire length thereof.

Abstract: Disclosed is a pneumatic tire including a straight main groove and two wave-shaped main grooves arranged in the center area of a tread, and diagonal grooves arranged in each shoulder area ranging from each wave-shaped main groove to the outer side of the tire, and extending obliquely outward from the wave-shaped main groove to a direction reverse to the tire rotational direction, the rotational direction being specified for the tire. Each diagonal groove is formed to have a convex protruding toward the outer side of the tire, and the extending end portion of the diagonal groove terminates in the shoulder area. Thus, each shoulder area is provided with a non-block pattern in which a land section continues in the tire circumferential direction. Thereby, the pneumatic tire has increased driving stability and uneven wear resistance while substantially maintaining good drainage performance and noise performance against columnar resonance.
