  • Patent number: 11997583
Abstract: A software defined network (SDN) can add network repository functions (NRF) into a configurations database to enable NF discovery. The SDN can subscribe to NRF notifications to receive new cloud native functions (CNF), registrations, or any other update to the CNF status in 5G system. In addition to listening to NRF notifications, the SDN can implement CNF pooling processes to periodically retrieve CNF from an NRF repository and stay in sync with 5G systems. Thus, a deep service path discovery can be developed from network service configurations and container call flows to enable an accurate alarm correlation and troubleshooting for the operations. This service path deep discovery can be designed and implemented as a standalone system or in an SDN framework with integration of a container management framework such as K8 kubernetes.

  • Patent number: 11997041
Abstract: An early termination system for blind decoding is provided to decrease the computational resources utilized when decoding the physical resources, and decrease the time spent decoding. A blind decoding priority list can be used by the mobile device to preferentially decode specific physical resource elements as it specifies the order of all the candidate physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs). When the physical resource elements are decoded, if there is no more downlink control information in that transmission time interval, the downlink control information can include a termination bit, and the mobile device, upon identifying the termination bit can cease blind decoding of the remainder candidates. In this way, the blind decoding process more quickly identifies the downlink control information, and subsequent blind decoding is halted.

  • Patent number: 11997753
Abstract: Electronic subscriber identity modules (eSIM) can be more susceptible to hackers and more vulnerable than physical subscriber identity modules. The current disclosure discusses systems and methods to facilitate eSIM security by utilizing a management software application (MSA) hosted on a mobile device. This MSA can cross-reference eSIM registration data with mobile device signature data to determine if the correct user identity is associated with mobile device prior to an eSIM being issued to the mobile device. • Patent number: 11997756
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards detecting improbable speeds of a mobile device, which can indicate fraudulent activity with respect to the mobile device. Radio access network events and call detail records are processed to determine when a mobile device “travel jumps” between locations at improbable speeds. Events corresponding to handovers between adjacent cells are filtered out. For events corresponding to changed cell towers that are non-adjacent, further processing is performed to determine the speed of the mobile device travel between the cells. A first speed threshold is selected based on possible air travel (a cell near an airport) or a second non-air travel speed threshold is selected. If the speed of the mobile device exceeds the selected speed threshold, a travel jump is determined. Exceptions can be made for gaps in connectivity due to topography (known inconsistent reception areas) and for a mobile device shutting down and restarting.

Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed to facilitate allocating resources to zones for IOT equipment in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. An example method discussed herein includes identifying, by carrier allocation equipment, carrier transmission information corresponding to transmission of a first carrier signal configured to support Internet of things equipment. The method can further comprise analyzing, by the carrier allocation equipment, the carrier transmission information to determine coverage information corresponding to a potential for coverage, by the first carrier signal, of an Internet of things equipment support zone corresponding to a geographic area. The method can further include, based on the coverage information, facilitating configuring transmission parameter information, representative of a transmission parameter applicable to the coverage of the Internet of things equipment support zone by the first carrier signal.

Abstract: Automatic neighbor relationships (ANR) can be implemented within a radio access network intelligent controller (RIC), which receives load information from network nodes and user equipment measurements from user equipment. The RIC can create and maintain real-time load information and leverage slicing knowledge of neighbor cells during mobility to direct the user equipment to various network slices. Thus, an enhanced radio access network (RAN) neighbor relationship that utilizes slicing information can provide slice level RAN neighbor visibility on top of physical ANR relationships to enable enhancements for mobility management optimization.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and products monitor a person's regimen for medicinal and dietary restrictions. When the person's regimen requires a liquid medication or supplement, an oral instrument is commanded to dispense a dosage of fluid. The oral instrument stores a reservoir of the fluid. If the oral instrument is a spoon, for example, the spoon may automatically dispense cough syrup or other medicine. A toothbrush, likewise, may automatically dispense mouthwash. A sensor may confirm presence of the oral instrument in the person's mouth, thus ensuring the dosage of fluid is ingested.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes obtaining, by a processing system, real-time information regarding a state of a communication network and capabilities of the communication network; selecting a routing for delivering a message to user equipment (UE) coupled to the network, in accordance with the real-time information; and configuring a messaging path according to the routing. The method further includes detecting whether the UE is in a non-active state and if so, providing a notification on a user plane data path of the communication network; the UE on returning to an active state thus is notified that the message is available via the user plane data path. If the UE on returning to the active state is unable to receive the message via the user plane data path, the message is then provided on a control plane signaling path. Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards locating and counting unused nodes, such as free Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) address blocks. A hierarchical structure of nodes is created from an origin block to a specified lower level, and the hierarchical structure is processed using mapping and eliminating to locate free nodes. A first node group comprises node(s) in use, a second node group identifies intermediate subnets between the first node of the first node group and the specified origin block, and a third node group identifies any subnets hierarchically below node(s) in use. Unused (free) node count information is obtained based on nodes below the origin block that are not in the first node group, the second node group, or the third node group.
