Abstract: A seeding implement is provided that includes a depth adjustment mechanism configured to facilitate rapid reconfiguration of a ground engaging tool for varying penetration depths. In an exemplary embodiment, the seeding implement includes a ground engaging tool and a packer arm pivotally coupled to a packer support structure. The seeding implement also includes a packer wheel rotatably coupled to the packer arm, and configured to rotate across a soil surface to limit a penetration depth of the ground engaging tool into the soil. The seeding implement further includes a depth adjustment assembly including a slot within the packer support structure, a corresponding slot within the packer arm, and a fastener disposed through the slots. In this configuration, the penetration depth of the ground engaging tool is varied by adjusting a position of the fastener within the slots.

Abstract: A method comprises receiving a displacement signal generated by a sensor, the displacement signal generated by the sensor in response to detecting movement of a piston from a retracted position in a cylinder toward an extended position in the cylinder. The method further comprises generating, in response to receiving the displacement signal, a valve control signal to be communicated to a valve located on a vacuum line connecting a vacuum source to a vacuum port of the cylinder. The valve control signal causes the valve to move from a first position in which a vacuum pressure is applied to the cylinder via the vacuum port to a second position in which atmospheric pressure is applied to the cylinder via the vacuum port.

Abstract: A system for operating a robotic arm comprises a carriage, a controller communicatively coupled to the carriage and a robotic arm coupled to the carriage. The carriage is mounted on a track adjacent to a rotary milking platform having a stall for a dairy livestock. The carriage moves along the track in a direction corresponding to a direction of rotation of the rotary milking platform. The controller determines a rate for the carriage to move along the track based at least in part upon a speed of rotation of the rotary milking platform. The robotic arm extends between the legs of the dairy livestock.

Abstract: A method for removing a plastics coating from a block of food, in particular a whole cheese, operates with the following steps: the block of food, in particular the whole cheese with its plastics coating is fed to the method. A laser beam is then directed onto the plastics coating of the block of food. Herein the output of the laser which emits the laser beam is adjusted so that a removal of the plastics coating takes place by separation of a region of the plastics coating and/or by erosion or vaporisation of the plastics coating. A device for removing a plastics coating from a block of food, in particular a whole cheese, comprises a transport apparatus for the block of food and a laser apparatus for applying a laser beam to the block of food.

The pet litter box having legs at four corners or a supportive structural skirt at its perimeter to maintain space between the floor of the pet litter box and the resting surface. The bladder is made of a flexible, impermeable material and is positioned below the drain in the floor of the pet little box to allow the flow of liquid waste from the drain through flexible tubing into the bladder. The tubing can be disconnected from the bladder to allow draining of the bladder into a toilet or other disposal container.

In an embodiment of the invention, the sifting litter box comprises two litter box trays oriented at a right angle with a screen placed in between the trays. Rotating the sifting litter box ninety degrees allows unused litter to sift through the screen while trapping clumped litter. The clumped litter can be discarded by removing the screen. Afterward, simply replace the screen back into the sifting litter box for the next cleaning cycle.

Abstract: A squirrel bungee apparatus is shown. A first plate member is suspended from an overhead structure. A second plate member is pivotally secured to the first plate member whereby the first and second plate members may be moved between first and second positions. A torsion spring interconnects the first and second plate members and yieldably maintains the first and second plate members in their first position. An elongated flexible chain has its upper end secured to the second plate member and has a food item or the like at the lower end thereof. When a squirrel jumps onto the food item, the weight of the squirrel causes the first and second plate members to move from their first position to their second position thereby causing the food item and the squirrel to move downwardly and thence upwardly in a bungee fashion due to the action of the torsion spring.
