  • Patent number: 7472127
Abstract: Methods that identify data that is related to and associated with data that has been selected from a multidimensional database. The overwhelming amount of data in a multidimensional database that may be viewed by a user, such as a data analyst, is reduced to the selected and associated data by use of index data and related index data, according to the present invention. The views of selected data and related data may be highlighted and formatted for presentation to the user. Further, irrelevant data is filtered out and not presented to the user. Existing systems have not been able to efficiently and adequately identify data that is related to and associated with selected data in a multidimensional database.

  • Patent number: 7031956
Abstract: A system and a method for synchronizing and updating a relational database with supplemental data in which the relational database has a set of tables defined by a relational schema. The supplemental data preferably comprises data in a tagged format having a document-type definition representative of the relational schema and is represented in a document object. The system and method preferably ensure record-by-record updating and synchronization of the relational database with the at least one proposed data update by receiving at least one proposed data update from a source external to the relational database; and propagating the received at least one proposed data update into the relational database. In this matter, the compliance with both the relational database relational schema and the tagged data document type definition is ensured without requiring reloading existing data in the relational database.

  • Patent number: 5462665
Abstract: A filter for use in a concrete press mould, the filter comprising a fabric being knit or woven at least in part from heat meltable yarns and having a fabric density which permits the passage of water therethrough but prohibits the passage of particulate material, the filter being bounded around its periphery with at least one continuous imperforate band integrally formed with the fabric by fusion of said heat meltable yarns.

  • Patent number: 4211162
Abstract: For the batch filtration of suspensions by application of external pressure, after the pressing of the suspension in the press-chamber space and before entrance of the resultant press cake into at least one subsequent press-chamber space the structure of the press cake is changed by shearing forces and the press cake is curved and at least partially torn apart. In the case of municipal sludge the flaked sludge is subjected in a first pressing zone to slow increase of pressure and a pressure of up to about 1 bar and then is subjected in at least one following press zone to a pressure increase which is more rapid than in the first press zone, up to a pressure of about 3 bars.
