Abstract: A carpet strip assembly has a plurality of two-legged or two-pronged staples fixedly secured therein wherein the staples are arranged within an array comprising two or three longitudinally offset rows of staple fasteners. In this manner, the number of fastener points per lineal foot of the carpet strip is increased, as compared to the number of fastener points per lineal foot of a conventional carpet strip by approximately twenty to twenty-five per cent (20-25%). In addition, the cross-sectional configuration of each one of the legs or prongs of each two-pronged or two-legged staple is substantially rectangular such that the resistance to bending forces is effectively enhanced four-fold. Still further, in view of the fact that the two prongs or legs of each staple are integrally connected together by means of a transversely extending bridge or crown portion, pull-out resistance of the staples, with respect to the carpet strip, is significantly enhanced.

Abstract: A cover apparatus (1) for flooring seam gaps comprises a mounting profile (2) and a cover strip (3), with the mounting profile (2) which can be fastened to the base (U) by way of a bridge element (5) along the seam gaps (F) or the like comprising at least one leg element (6) which projects upwardly from the bridge element (5) and can be joined together in a clamping manner with the cover strip (3). In order to enable the perfect insertion of the cover apparatus even in the case of a curved progress of the seam gap, a cover strip (3) is provided which consists of a flectionally yielding material and can be bent about axes parallel to the direction of insertion, which cover strip is associated as a mounting profile (2) made of deflection-resistant material with a profile rail (4) which is subdivided by transversally extending indentations (8) into sections (9) which can be mutually swiveled about axes (A) which are parallel to the direction of insertion.

Abstract: A device for fixing longitudinally grooved cover strips consists of a holding plate to be fixed with its rear side on a wall, which holding plate has at least one forwardly protruding holding leg to be clampingly inserted in a longitudinal groove of the cover strips. To achieve a neat laying of the cover strips even with uneven wall surfaces in an economic way, the holding plate together with its holding legs has been prolonged to form a holding rail (1), whose holding legs (2, 3) extending like webs across the length of the holding rail form resilient clamping parts transverse to the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: A hinge for a notebook computer is disclosed. The hinge is composed of a base and a hinge member pivotally mounted on the base by a pintle. The base has a pulley bracket pivotally mounted thereon and a pulley rotatably mounted on the bracket. A tongue is mounted on the pintle and can be pivoted with the hinge member. A distal end of the tongue is engaged with the pulley and located below the pulley when the computer is closed. When the computer is to be opened, the tongue is pivoted upwards to push the pulley bracket pivoted upwards, and disengaged from the pulley. When the computer is to be closed, the tongue is pivoted downwards to push the pulley bracket pivoted downwards, and located below the pulley again. Because the tongue is limited by the pulley, the pintle is unable to be freely rotated and the display is securely closed.
