Abstract: A storage compartment arrangement for a cabin of a vehicle has a storage compartment, housing, storage compartment opening, lower compartment, and upper compartment. The compartments are directly above each other and separated by an intermediate base pivotable at least in sections into the upper compartment. Items of luggage can be placed onto a lower horizontal pivoting edge and pushed into the lower compartment. Adjacent to a lower delimitation of the upper compartment, when the intermediate base is not pivoted, an upper horizontal pivoting edge is formed, onto which items of luggage can be placed and pushed into the upper compartment. The upper compartment has an upper opening edge adjoined by an auxiliary surface extending over the upper compartment, is at an angle in a range of 10° to 50° to the intermediate base and, as the distance from the upper delimitation increases, encloses an increasing distance from the intermediate base.

Abstract: A portable gate assembly provides a portable enclosure that can fit any doorway in order to confine kids and pets to a desired area. The assembly includes a pair of spaced posts and a flexible net coupled to and extending between the posts. A sound emitter is coupled to the net. The sound emitter has a sensor positioned therein. The sound emitter is operationally coupled to the sensor wherein the sound emitter emits an audible indicator upon the sensor sending a proximity signal to the sound emitter when an object or a user is within a predetermined distance of the net.

Abstract: This embodiment provides for a portable, easily-assembled, modular background set that can be used in television studios, theatre stages, and tradeshow booths, to name a few, and for displays in other settings, such as retail stores, physician's offices, and the like, that is, wherever information needs to be displayed. According to this embodiment, an apparatus and method for providing said background set or display comprises a plurality of base structures; a plurality of outer and inner collapsible corrugated plasticboard sleeves; a plurality of supporting frames; a hanger system; an elastic cord stabilizing system; and a collapsible backdrop system. These components are assembled from a very compact, collapsed, disassembled state in a quick and easy manner, with no special tools, to create a professional set or display that can be used in a plurality of different venues.

Abstract: A hanger for hanging of garlands and the like around a doorway can be removably placed within a doorway, where it is secured by pressure and friction, thereby avoiding any damage to the door or door frame. The hanger includes outward extensions that extend outward of the door frame to permit hanging of garlands and the like on either side of the doorway. The hanger may also include one or more central extensions for supporting the garlands or the like centrally above the doorway so that the garland or the like does not hang downward too much, thus keeping the doorway clear. The hanger can also be a part of the decoration around the doorway. Various configurations of the hanger may fit different widths of door frames, including a wide range of door frame widths, and features of the hanger provide additional flexibility for different door configurations including sidelights.

Abstract: A portable hunting blind employs a hand-operated, spring biased clamp with a pair of compressible handles that open spring-biased clamping jaws. The clamping jaws include internal grooves for sure gripping. An elongated, bendable arm extends from one of the clamp handles. An attachment juncture formed in one of the handle ends secures the arm to the clamp. The flexible metal arm can be configured by bending as desired by a hunter to assume a desired shape. A camouflage curtain is secured to the arm, which supports it like a flag pole. When an area for deployment is reached, the clamp is affixed to an available object, such as a tree limb, support the curtain and camouflage a limited selected area. The shape of the concealed arm can be varied by bending the arm. The curtain bottom may be secured to a convenient object to prevent movement.

Abstract: The invention provides a mounting system for holding one or more affinity displays upon a window in an exceptionally stable manner. The apparatus comprises a drape that is capable of being wrapped around the edge or frame edge of a window, and the drape is also attached to a plurality of surface mounting components. The drape is further linked to the affinity display.

Abstract: The removable track and hanger system is mounted on horizontal tent frame members. The tent frame includes horizontal and vertical frames for supporting the overlaid tent fabric. The track and hanger system includes a track bar removably hung from a horizontal frame member by a complementary shaped inverted J-shaped hangers. The track bar includes a track bar channel, an open mouth and an interior cavity. A eyelet hangers protrude from the track bar because a capture element (roller wheel, ball or glide element) is located in the cavity and a downward eyelet extender has an eyelet hole into which is clipped a clip hook from the tent sidewall. When clipped onto the hanger track, the tent sidewall can move horizontally along the track. The throw or horizontal movement of the tent sidewall is limited by stops at one or more predetermined stop locations.

Abstract: A three dimensional shade to provide a three dimensional layer structure and profile includes a movable frame and a shade. The movable frame is installed on any two sliding docks movable on a track of a upper beam. The movable frame includes at least two coupling plates that are hinged together to hang the shade. A drawing element is provided to draw and perform retraction and extension operations so that the shade can be retracted and extended to form a profile same as the movable frame to achieve the three dimensional effect.

Abstract: A disposable shower curtain assembly includes an anchor bracket that has planar front and rear faces, and has opposed ends. The anchor bracket is provided with apertures for receiving support rings therethrough and has a notch extending along a length thereof. The notch has an open bottom end that extends towards a top face of the bracket. Disposable water-impermeable shower liners have top edges nested within the notch. Each liner has a bottom-, a left side- and a right side-edge monolithically formed with the top edge, and also has a tab formed therewith that is positioned at a top corner of an associated liner. Adjacent front and back faces of the liners are continuously attached such. A mechanism is included for removably affixing the shower liners together so that a perimeter of an outer liner remains sealed to a perimeter of an adjacent liner.

Abstract: A portable barrier panel for providing privacy to a screened area comprises a plurality of vertical support tubes. The portable barrier panel further comprises a plurality of elongate legs having an adjustable length. The elongate legs attached to a lower portion of the vertical support tubes, such that an angle ? exists between the elongate leg and the vertical support tube axis. The angle ? is adjustable. The portable barrier panel further comprises an elongate horizontal framing member having first and second ends that are supported by top two different vertical support tubes. The portable barrier panel further comprises an opaque curtain mounted to the horizontal framing member and at least one of the vertical support tubes.

Abstract: The present invention is a Bird Window-kill Prevention Screen. It prevents fatal and non-fatal injuries resulting from bird/windowpane collisions. It consists of black fiberglass screening suspended between an upper and lower frame made of plastic pipes. The screen is hung in front of the exterior of a window such that it is several inches in front of the windowpane. The lower frame is weighted so that the screen is held in a semi-taut manner and provides resilience when a bird strikes it. The screen has the advantages of 1) Being 100% effective, 2) Not impairing visibility, and 3) Easy to put up or take down.

Abstract: An adjustable window covering apparatus that allows a user to install an adjustable window covering apparatus without the use of measuring tools, levelers or drills. The adjustable window covering apparatus includes a frame that is adapted for engaging a floor of a building proximate the window such that the frame is positioned in front of the window. A covering member is coupled to the frame. The covering member has an area for covering the window. The covering member is adapted for inhibiting viewing into the building from outside the building when the frame is positioned proximate the window of the building.

Abstract: A climate control curtain for automobiles including an elongated support member positionable against a roof of an automobile immediately behind a front seat section of the automobile. An elongated support rod is secured to the elongated support member. The support rod has opposed ends. A pair of tension knobs adjustably extend outwardly of the opposed ends of the elongated support rod. The tension knobs each have a foot portion for engaging opposed sides of the automobile. A curtain portion is adapted for slidable coupling with the elongated support rod.

Abstract: In a spring-loaded curtain mount, the mount includes a pole interface at a proximal end, a compressive mechanism, and a head at a distal end. The pole interface is adapted to receive the end of a standard length adjustable pole or a painter's pole. The compression mechanism is disposed between the proximal end of the mount and the head. The mount includes a coupling device adapted to receive a portion of a curtain. During installation, the curtain mount is coupled to the end of an extension pole and the length of the pole is adjusted such that the combined length of the pole and mount is slightly longer than the distance between the floor and ceiling. At ground level, a portion of the curtain is attached to the head of the curtain mount. The curtain and mount are raised to the ceiling and the mount and pole are compressed between the floor and the ceiling. This compressive force operates to urge the head toward the ceiling, securing the mount in place.

Abstract: A portable room divider apparatus for providing privacy in any room, in particular, in any hotel and motel room. The portable room divider apparatus includes a base having a pair of elongate members and a cross member removably interconnecting the elongate members; and also includes a plurality of tubular support members interconnected to the base with T-shaped tubular couplers and interconnected end-to-end with one another with sleeve-like tubular couplers; and further includes a plurality of barrier support members being interconnected end-to-end and being horizontally mounted upon the tubular support members with T-shaped tubular couplers; and also includes a barrier member such as a curtain which is removably mounted to the barrier support members and which has a height of approximately 6 feet and a width of approximately 6 feet.

Abstract: A furniture system is particularly adapted to support group activities in open plans, and the like. A plurality of columns support an overhead framework on the floor of a building in a freestanding fashion at a predetermined elevation, generally above average user height. A plurality of individual panels are provided, wherein each panel is constructed to permit easy, manual, bodily translation of the same by an adult user. A hanger arrangement is associated with the overhead framework, and cooperates with connectors on the panels to detachably suspend the panels at various locations along the overhead framework. The panels are manually reconfigurable between many different arrangements to efficiently and effectively support different group activities. Preferably, the panels are capable of providing a partitioning function to visually divide at least a portion of the workspace, and/or a display function to facilitate group communications.

Abstract: A closure is made of a flexible fabric material designed to withstand a temperature in the range of 1800.degree. F. as is present within a pot employed to conduct the Hall-Heroult process for deriving aluminum from alumina. The closure, in a preferred embodiment, includes an elongated hook allowing it to be hung over the opening of the pot and also includes a gripping handle allowing the closure to be manipulated. A peripheral bulbous seal enhances the sealing effect about the opening in the pot.

Abstract: A curtain assembly includes an elongated horizontal holding frame, a pair of spaced-apart hanging units, a curtain sheet, and an elongated horizontal plastic strip. The holding frame has an upper portion with a dovetail groove formed along the entire length thereof, and a hollow lower portion which is integrally formed with the upper portion and which has a bottom wall unit through which a slit is formed along the entire length of the frame. The hanging units are sleeved respectively around the holding frame and are adapted to be mounted on a wall so as to suspend the holding frame above a window that is formed through the wall. Each of the hanging units has a dovetail tongue engaged slidably in the groove of the holding frame. The sheet extends through the slit of the frame and has a folded annular upper end portion accommodated in the lower portion of the holding frame.

Abstract: A curtain rod support for supporting a curtain rod and associated curtain proximate a window. The inventive device includes a pair of vertically adjustable stanchions each supported by a weighted base for positioning on laterally opposed sides of a window. An adjustable transverse support extends between the upper distal ends of the stanchions and includes a pair of mounting plates for mounting a curtain rod therebetween. The support permits a rapid installation of curtains or drapes to a window without modification of the surrounding window structure, thereby enabling apartment dwellers or renters to removably install such curtains.

Abstract: A semi-freestanding drapery extension beam comprising (i) two vertical side supports each having a ground-engaging end and a ceiling-engaging end; (ii) a top beam having its ends connected between the ceiling-engaging ends of the side supports; and (iii) a drapery slot extending along the length of said top beam. Additionally, support brackets can be implemented between the top beam and each vertical side support to hold the top beam in position and help it support a vertical load. A sheer clip and tie back hooks can also be implemented to increase the aesthetic beauty of the drapes hung from the inventive beam. Finally, the beam is easily folded for storage or transport. In another embodiment of the present invention, the two vertical side supports are used without a transverse top beam. Again, this allows the use of vertically adjustable tie back hooks without damaging the surrounding walls.

Abstract: An interior curtain wall to prevent dust being transported from one area to another has an elongated flexible curtain that is supported on a plurality of interconnected headers, each header connected to the next by a flexible hinge and being supported against the ceiling by a support leg that is adjustable in length and has a spring loaded foot to maintain pressure against the header.

Abstract: Ventilation safety apparatus for extending toward a mine face from a supported area includes a collapsible frame supported on the mine floor, the supports for the frame being connected by a beam, and arms extending upwardly when in released position to support a brattice curtain extending from floor to roof of the mine passage. The arms are foldable to lie substantially parallel to the connecting beam for transporting the apparatus. The device is pushed outward beyond the fixed brattice curtain to extend the workable area ahead of the supported mine roof.

Abstract: An apparatus for installing table skirts to the perimeter of a banquet table having a fastener with an adhesive pile material substantially similar to an adhesive pile material on a top underside of the table skirt. The table skirt is wound in an upward direction on a hanging device having strips of adhesive pile material substantially similar to both the adhesive pile material of the fastener and of the table skirt. Once the table skirt is hung on the hanging device, the device is placed on a swivel hook attached to a rod mounted on a moveable rack in a manner so that the hook turns as the table skirt is unwound from the hanging device and the adhesive pile material of the table skirt and fasteners are pressed together as an installer moves around the perimeter of the table. To disassemble the table skirt from the table, the procedure is reversed by choosing a free end of the table skirt and pulling it apart from the adhesive material of the fastener and attaching it to the hanging device.
