With Groove Engaging Mounting Means Patents (Class 160/47)
  • Patent number: 11028595
Abstract: A fabric panel attaching system and methods of assembly and use are presented for attaching fabric panels to structural elements, such as building frames. In various embodiments, the fabric panel attachment system includes a keder rail fastened to support bar, which is attached to a structural profile, such as a building frame member. In some embodiments, the keder rail is fastened to a support bar with bolt and nut. One or more fabric panels are installed within channels of the keder rail. An alignment element may be used with a fastener to assist in aligning abutting sections of keder rail. In various embodiments, the fabric panel attachment system is secured to flat or curvilinear faces of the structural elements. In some embodiments, the fabric panel attachment system may secure directly to the structural element and not a support bar.

  • Patent number: 8528578
Abstract: A raintrough support clip includes a generally cylindrical main body made from an elastically resilient material, and having a circumferential gap to facilitate mounting around an awning reel having a flexible valance sheet extending downward from the outer edge of the awning reel. The raintrough support clip also has an outrigger member extending outwardly from a lower region of the main body, with an upturned portion forming a generally U-shaped space between the outrigger and the main body. When a suitable number of the raintrough support clips are mounted along the length of the awning reel, the valance sheet may be readily deformed to form a rainwater drainage trough for receiving runoff from the awning. The drainage trough thus formed will carry runoff to one or both ends of the awning reel, thereby preventing the runoff from falling over the awning reel and forming a runoff curtain therebelow.

  • Patent number: 8113259
Abstract: A side shade for an awning includes a mounting member having a top end, a bottom end, a hook at the top end and a vertical groove extending from the top end to the bottom end. The mounting member is removably connectable by the hook to the awning near an attachment support of the awning. At least a portion of a stiffening member and a first vertical side of the fabric panel are slidingly disposed within the vertical groove of the mounting member. When assembled and attached to the awning the fabric panel of the side shade is vertically adjustably positionable above or below a lateral side of a predominantly horizontal panel of the awning so that there is no vertical gap between the panel of the awning and the fabric panel of the side shade through which direct light can penetrate.
