  • Patent number: 11859366
Abstract: A retractable tooth bucket configured to provide both digging and grading functionality on a worksite. The retractable tooth bucket has a bucket joined to a first bracket and a second bracket. A first pivot frame joined to the first bracket. A second pivot frame is joined to the second bracket. A first and second mounting brackets are joined to the bucket. A cylinder is joined to the hydraulic ram, and the first and second pivot frames. A hydraulic fluid line is joined to the hydraulic ram. Three cross members are joined to the first and second pivot frames. Five spines are joined to the third cross member and arranged against a pivot pin. Engaging the hydraulic ram causes spines to extend away from the bucket.

  • Patent number: 11678595
Abstract: A three-point hitch for an agricultural tractor includes a hydraulically actuatable lifting arm, a vertically pivotable lower link, and a lifting strut arranged between the lifting arm and the lower link. The lifting strut transmits to the lower link a pivoting movement on the lifting arm. The lifting strut includes a first fastening portion articulated to the lifting arm and a second fastening portion articulated to the lower link. The second fastening portion includes first and second fastening segments which encompass the lower link in a fork-shaped manner. A bearing pin disposed between the two fastening segments extends through a slot formed in the lower link. By pivoting the lower link, the bearing pin is displaced inside the slot between a first working position and a second working position. In each position, the bearing pin is secured inside the slot by a blocking arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5394945
Abstract: The machine includes a frame adapted to move along spaced ridges planted with crop plants, frame support runners engaging the furrows between the ridges, a pair of transverse rows of weeding implements carried by the frame for movement along the ridges and furrows, the implements of one row disposed on one side of the plants and the implements of the other row disposed on the other side of the plants. Each row is transversely displaceable by a double acting hydraulic ram relative to the frame. The rams are controlled by an operator supported by the frame in a position to have a direct view of the weeding implements. Each implement is free to move up and down independently of the remaining implements in order to follow the ground contour. The implements of any one row can be raised together out of working position. These weeding implements can be earth working discs and/or thermal weeders.

  • Patent number: 4828043
Abstract: A device for adjusting the distance between soil working tools such as plow bodies (5) disposed beside each other and fitted to sleeves (7) movable along a bar (3). Slewing brackets (11, 14, 15) for defining the movements of the sleeves (7) along the bar (3) are arranged articulatedly between the sleeves (7) so that the relative movement between the two outermost sleeves on the bar is a (n-1), where a is the distance of the movement between two adjacent sleeves (7) and n is the number of sleeves. A hydraulic piston-cylinder unit is arranged to provide the motion of the sleeves (7) along the bar (3).

  • Patent number: 4618005
Abstract: An apparatus for attachment to a vehicle, preferably a bulldozer, comprises a first arm having a ripper shank extending therefrom which is pivotally attached to a second arm. A second arm is mounted to a vehicle for rotation about a horizontal axis so that when the first and second arms are in one orientation the ripper shank may be operated to move in a plane transverse to the direction of motion of the vehicle. The apparatus may be rotated to any angle such that the shank extends forwardly, or rearwardly, of the vehicle to engage objects. In the preferred embodiment, the first and second arms are pivotally mounted to a journal which extends through a mounting housing. A hydraulic cylinder engages one end of the journal at an eccentric location to cause the journal to rotate upon activation of the hydraulic cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4512413
Abstract: A rotary cultivating apparatus wherein a tiller frame having a rotary tiller unit is laterally shiftable relative to a fixed frame having connecting portions for a vehicle and a power input shaft. A mechanism for laterally shifting the tiller frame comprises a transmission gear member mounted on a transmission shaft for the tiller unit and having an inner gear and an outer gear, a shifting screw rod reversibly rotatable by the transmission gear member through intermediate gears, and an internally threaded member fixed to tiller frame and in screw-thread engagement with the screw rod. One of the intermediate gears is selectively meshable with the transmission gear member to shift the tiller frame laterally in either direction by utilizing the power for driving the tine shaft of the tiller unit.

  • Patent number: 4466491
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for moving objects which may be partially buried. The apparatus comprises a hook-like element which may be attached to the side of a vehicle, such as a bulldozer. The hook-like element is pivotally attached so that its orientation is adjustable.A method of moving objects is disclosed where a hook-like element extending from the side of a vehicle engages the objects to be moved.

  • Patent number: 4113031
Abstract: The disclosed Power Shift Mechanism is adapted to laterally shift an earth working implement, such as a vertical plow, relative to a tractor or the like. In the disclosed embodiment, the plow is mounted on a slide bracket and the bracket is slideably mounted on a support frame. The shift mechanism includes a fluid operated piston-cylinder connected between the frame and a pivot link pivotally connected to the slide bracket. The pivot link may be rotated by the piston-cylinder to either of two positions and locked in place by releasable connectors. The piston-cylinder will then rotatably shift the pivot link or laterally shift the bracket and the earth working implement. The shift mechanism thus increases the effective stroke of the piston-cylinder and reduces the power requirements of the shift mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4037670
Abstract: An improved blade clamping mechanism for a motor grader blade which has blade support rails carried in pivoted blade support means for lateral sliding movement, and in which confining surfaces in the blade support means restrict both vertical and fore-and-aft movement of the rails in the support means. A clamp lever is pivoted on the circle of the motor grader and has a clamp arm which can be turned in a vertical plane against the bottom of the lower support rail with a high mechanical advantage to force the rail against an overlying confining surface; and a single action hydraulic cylinder and piston unit which turns the lever simultaneously presses a clamp shoe against the rear of the upper support rail. The clamps are normally locked by hydraulic pressure on the piston, and released by moving a manually controlled valve to a drain position so that a return spring acting on the clamp shoe can move the shoe and the lever to a release position.
