Belt Tread Patents (Class 185/16)
  • Patent number: 11148005
Abstract: A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt running between front and rear pulley rollers is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse aluminum, wooden, plastic, rubber or carbon fiber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion. Since an essential feature of treadmill is the concave shape of the running surface of belt in its respective upper portion, the treadmill configurations insure that this shape is maintained during actual use. These configurations prevent the concave upper running surface portion from being pulled taut into a flat shape between the front and rear pulley rollers.

  • Patent number: 10632339
Abstract: A treadmill includes a base frame, a treadmill belt, a plurality of bearing wheels, a bearing frame, and a limiting frame. The treadmill belt is rotatably installed on the base frame. The bearing wheel is mounted on an inner surface of the treadmill belt. Each bearing wheel is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane, and the bearing frame and the limiting frame are both mounted on the base frame. The bearing frame supports the bearing wheels of the upper section of the treadmill belt. The limiting frame is disposed on one side of the bearing wheel and abuts the bearing wheel. The treadmill has the advantages that the friction between the limiting frame and the bearing wheels can be reduced and can avoid sudden stop or sticking.

  • Patent number: 10449411
Abstract: A manual treadmill for exercise of a user is disclosed. In one aspect, the manual treadmill comprises: a frame extending along a longitudinal direction and rotational shafts configured to rotate about corresponding rotational axes transverse to the longitudinal direction of the frame; and an exercise belt operatively connected to the rotational shafts, so as to form an endless closed exercise path having an upper portion configured to interact with the user and a lower portion facing a reference plane. The upper portion has a set curved side profile along the longitudinal direction of the frame so that a force generated by the user on the exercise belt produces rotation of the rotational shafts and the exercise belt.

  • Publication number: 20110266091
Abstract: A treadmill power generator (10) comprises an upwardly inclined treadmill (2) having an entry end (16c) and a feed end (16b). A belt constitutes the treadmill and rotates around rollers (8,12). Side barriers (16a) prevent an animal on the belt from exiting the treadmill sideways. A releasable brake holds the belt in a fixed position. A detector (22) detects the head of an animal entering the feed end (16b) and releases the brake, whereby the animal must continue to walk in order for its head to remain at the feed end. Its walking drives the belt and rotates the roller against the resistance of a generator (50) to generate electricity, or other farm equipment mechanical or hydraulic load.
