Belt Or Chain Transmission Patents (Class 192/224)
  • Publication number: 20140060995
Abstract: A hybrid clutch assembly inserted between an internal combustion engine and the propeller of an aircraft to provide a hybrid-powered aircraft. The hybrid clutch assembly allows a direct current (DC) electric motor to be attached to the hybrid clutch assembly using drive belts. The hybrid clutch assembly allows the internal combustion engine to transmit power to the aircraft's propeller and freely spin the DC motor. The DC motor can transmit power to the aircraft's propeller without turning the internal combustion engine. The hybrid clutch assembly independently allows either the internal combustion engine or the DC motor in parallel to power the aircraft's propeller. The hybrid clutch assembly includes a hybrid clutch, a drive belt housing, a hybrid clutch assembly shaft, and an adapter plate. The hybrid clutch connects to the drive belt housing a hybrid clutch assembly shaft. The adapter plate enables connection of the hybrid clutch to the internal combustion engine propeller flange.

  • Publication number: 20110315506
Abstract: A mounting structure for mounting a separate shaft type oil pump in a case of a transmission. The separate shaft type oil pump is driven by a shaft that is separate from and rotated in cooperation with a shaft arranged in a torque input route extending from an engine to the transmission to supply hydraulic oil to a transmission oil pressure control mechanism. The mounting structure includes a spacer coupler that fastens the oil pump to the transmission case. The spacer coupler includes a plurality of spacers that couple the oil pump and the transmission case. An oil passage is formed in the spacers of the spacer coupler to connect an oil pressure system, which includes the oil pressure control mechanism, and the oil pump. A manual shaft for operating the transmission is arranged in a clearance between the spacers of the spacer coupler.

  • Patent number: 8033374
Abstract: A drive arrangement for a shaft has a module carried by the shaft and including a motor, a driven wheel and a drive wheel. The motor, gearbox and drive wheel are carried on a slider plate which can slide transverse to the axis of the shaft. A front plate is fixed transverse to the axis of the shaft. A Bowden cable has its sheath attached to the front plate, and its inner cable attached to the slider plate, so that manipulation of the Bowden cable at a remote location allows force to be applied between the plates either tightening the belt to apply drive from the motor to the shaft, or releasing tension in the belt, to disengage the drive.

  • Patent number: 6634480
Abstract: The driving device has a rotatable drive disc (16) that is coupled to a motor (10) and, arranged coaxially with the drive disc, a locking disc (20) that can be rotated to a limited extent relative to the drive disc. The locking disc has detent teeth on its outer circumference. A pawl (30), is pivotally mounted on a stationary axis. The drive disc (16) is provided with a recess (28) on its outer circumference. The outer circumference of the drive disc extends radially beyond the tips of the detent teeth. The recess has a bottom of approximately the same radial depth as the gaps of the detent teeth. Together with the outer circumference of the drive disc (16), the recess (28) forms a cam on which the tip of the pawl (30) slides.

  • Patent number: 6164427
Abstract: A parking apparatus of a continuously variable transmission includes a manual shaft vertically provided at the front of a primary shaft for driving both parking mechanism and manual valve operating mechanism. The parking mechanism comprises a lock arm, a parking rod, a parking pawl and a parking gear provided in a secondary pulley. The parking rod is rigidly fitted to a spacer and also it is slidably fitted to a cam. The cam abuts against the spacer by the biasing force of a spring. When a select lever is not positioned at a parking range, the spacer slides on a supporter so as to disengage the parking pawl with the parking gear. When the select lever is positioned at the parking range, the cam pushes upward the parking pawl so as to engage the parking pawl with the parking gear.
