Plural Power-driven Conveyor Sections Feeding To Gravity Section (i.e., Gravity Discharge Material Holder, Or Gravity Flow Path) Patents (Class 198/568)
  • Patent number: 8800752
Abstract: A portable feed delivery system can have a first feed container including a first conveyor apparatus that delivers feed to a second feed container, where a second conveyor apparatus delivers feed to a feed delivery conduit that can be directed by a user.

  • Patent number: 8727103
Abstract: A tilt tray sorter conveyor for piece goods is provided. The conveyer includes wagons which are coupled to each other to make a ring or train, or are employed individually, and are moved along rails, each wagon having a carrying tray. Each carrying tray is pivoted to both sides about a pivot which is arranged centrally underneath the carrying tray and runs in the direction of travel, by a tilt drive arranged on the wagon, from a horizontal transport position into an unloading position to release goods conveyed by the wagon. In order to enable a flexible operational discharge of the tiling movement of the carrying tray, at least one flexible form-fitting or force-fitting traction mechanism is arranged underneath the carrying tray and hinged to both sides, the traction mechanism working with a drive to apply a traction force to the carrying tray in the tilting direction.

  • Publication number: 20020153229
Abstract: An extendable gravity loader includes an extendable gravity propelled conveying surface and a user interface section having a driven conveying surface. The sidewalls of the conveyor define an upper edge which is above a conveying surface of the loader to prevent packages from being laterally dislodged therefrom. The sidewalls allow for a minimal height of the extendable units, while still providing a structurally robust loader with a minimal drop off between conveying surfaces of the respective units. The user interface section provided at an outer end of the loader may have at least a portion that is vertically adjustable via an actuator at the extendable unit of the loader. The actuator may be mounted to the gravity loader at a pair of compression springs, which function to absorb shock to the actuator when packages or the like are dropped or otherwise impact the user interface section.

  • Patent number: 6439367
Abstract: A sorting and conveying system has a longitudinally extending conveyor having at least one tilt tray, but preferably a plurality, on the conveyor for diverting selected articles from the conveyor. There is at least one hanger for holding a plurality of bags. A chute extends between the tilt tray and the hanger. A movable bowl diverter has an entrance opening near the top adjacent the chute and an exit opening near the bottom, so that articles diverted from the conveyor will be delivered to the exit opening. Means are provided for moving the bowl diverter so that the exit opening is positioned to deliver a selected article into a selected bag on said hanger. There are a plurality of tilt trays along the conveyor and a plurality of hangers so that a selected article on the conveyor may be delivered from a selected tilt tray to a selected bag. Means are provided for mounting the bowl diverter for rotational movement, and there is a drive for rotating the bowl diverter.

  • Patent number: 5836721
Abstract: A powder coating apparatus feeds fine powdered coating material such as thermoplastic type material to a succession of discrete articles passing by the apparatus which includes a vibratory feeder bowl and a spiral track for delivering a substantially constant supply of powdered coating material to the articles. A sensor is also used to regulate an amount of powdered coating material supplied by an auger to the vibratory feeder. The invention also provides a powder feed system that deposits an excess of powdered coating material than that required to form the coating and provides for recirculation of the powder not ultimately used to form the coating back to the powder feeding apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4568232
Abstract: A bulk material unloader includes parallel, spaced-apart main and back barges or pontoons which are held in fixed relationship with respect to each other by four collar frames. Two parallel cargo lighters are positioned between pontoons and the unloader is moored alongside ship. The two midship collar frames support a two-legged main tower over the main barge and a two-legged back tower over the back barge. A horizontal boom assembly includes a back bridge extending between the towers and an outboard boom supported by the towers and normally extending away from the back bridge and over the ship in parallel, end-to-end alignment with the back bridge.
