Abstract: A tactical glove (1) with a glove body (2), glove fingers (3a to 3e) and a sheath (4) adjoining the glove body (2). A closure system is provided in the form of a strap (5). The strap is fastened at one end to the tactical glove (1) and has a mechanical closure (6) that is moved onto a corresponding mechanical closure (7) by a closing movement of the strap (5) in order to constrict the sheath (4), via which a mechanical closure is formed. On the sheath (4) a zipper (8) is provided, the slider (9) of which is joined to the strap (5) by a coupling such that when a closing movement of the strap (5) is performed, the zipper (8) closes. The strap (5) forms a wrist support.

The belt fastener member is attached to the body and is configured to fasten to a belt in such a way that the belt fastener member forms a loop around the belt and adheres to the belt.

Abstract: To ensure an excellent slip-proof effect for a hygiene item, in particular for a baby diaper or an incontinence diaper when opening the diaper, a fastening tape is proposed having a separate film-like grip area with a macroscopically structured surface. Likewise, a hygiene item having such a grip area and a method for manufacturing such a fastening tape are proposed.

Abstract: A flexible, elastic gaiter device designed to doubly encircle an upper rim of a wearer's footwear as well as the wearer's ankle to block ingress of debris into the footwear upper rim while bracing wearer's ankle protecting it against external and internal injury. The device is an elongated generally rectangular article. It comprises a closed loop nylon plush fabric outer layer to which is foamed an inner layer of synthetic rubber based on polychloroprene. At one end of the article's rubbery layer a fastener strip of hook elements is attached. The gaiter device is applied with its rubbery layer bridging the footwear upper rim, and firmly stretched to a double wrap, then secured by fastening the strip of hook elements with the plush outer layer. Lower edge corners of the article are diagonally cropped so that, when stretched, the lower edge will not have unsightly exposed portions.

Abstract: A method of donning a support includes: positioning a garment proximate an area of a body; positioning a framework in abutment with the area of the body, the framework defining a plurality of permanent openings therein regardless of whether the support is donned; applying tension at points of the framework such that the framework is expanded and the framework is tensioned in its abutment with the area of the body, said step of applying tension being performed by pulling on one or more fastening components that are attached at one or more points to said framework; and affixing each of the fastening components to the garment while applying tension to the framework to secure the expanded framework in its forced abutment with the area of the body.

Abstract: A personal radiation protection garment that substantially contours to an operator's body is suspended from a suspension means. The garment is operable to protect the operator from radiation. The suspension means is operable to apply constant force. The suspension means allows operator wearing protective radiation garment to move freely in the X, Y, and Z spatial planes simultaneously, such that the protective radiation garment is substantially weightless to operator. A radiation protection face shield and flap can also be suspended from suspension means, such that face shield and flap are substantially weightless to operator. The suspension means can be mounted to a ceiling.

Abstract: An absorbent garment has an absorbent assembly disposed within a garment shell configured for encircling the wearer's waist. The garment shell comprises a front panel assembly having laterally opposite side margins, and a back panel assembly having laterally opposite side margins. The absorbent assembly is attached at a front waist region thereof to the garment shell generally at the side margins of the front panel assembly to together define front side margins of the absorbent garment. The absorbent assembly is further attached at a back waist region thereof to the garment shell generally at the side margins of the back panel assembly to together define back side margins of the absorbent garment. The front side margins and the back side margins of the absorbent garment are releasably attached to each other to removably secure the absorbent garment on the wearer's waist.

Abstract: A fastening tape has a sheet-form base carrying an array of hooking members (10,22,24,34) each having a height (h) of about 0.008 inch (0.2 millimeter) or less, as measured from the base, and fiber-engaging features, such as re-entrant tips (18,32), disposed less than about 0.003 inch (0.08 millimeter) from their upper surfaces, as measured normal to the base. Such hooking members are employed to releasably engage directly into foams and fine denier non-woven materials, such as those of insulation, filters, construction moisture barriers, disposable gowns and diapers.

Abstract: A sport sleeve holder for releasibly retaining a sleeve atop a user's shoulder comprises a strap of material, having two sides and two ends, the strap being sufficiently flexible so that one end of the strap may be positioned adjacent the opposite end of the strap. Preferably, the strap comprises polypropylene web material. The sport sleeve holder has a fastening mechanism coupled to each end of the strap at opposite sides thereof. The fastening mechanism preferably comprises cooperating hook and loop fastener fabric. The sport sleeve holder may also have a label coupled to the upper side of the strap, which label may contain graphics or other logos. Preferably, the label comprises a textile which is 70% cotton and 30% nylon. A method of using the sport sleeve holder comprises inserting the sport sleeve holder through either the sleeve opening or the neck opening of a shirt so that the upper side of the sport sleeve holder faces the user's shoulder.

Abstract: The invention relates to a belt (1) of flexible material for use with absorbent garments, wherein the belt comprises attachment means (6, 9, 10, 11, 21, 22) securely attached at one end. The attachment means is in the form of a flexible strip of hook elements such as used for releasable hook and loop type connectors and is used for securing that one end to an outer surface of the belt. In order to provide greater comfort for the wearer the attachment means itself is located approximately centrally and extends with its greatest dimension (a) in the width direction of the belt where dimension (a) is between 25% to 75% of the belt width (z).

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a flexible pouch comprising a container portion and a neck portion. The neck portion is integrally connected to the container portion. The container portion may be constructed of flexible, elastic material with a water-impermeable layer, which is expandable to accommodate the insertion and storage of cleaning articles therein. The neck portion may be constructed of flexible, elastic material which includes an opening of a sufficient size to allow the insertion and extraction of cleaning articles to and from the container portion. The flexible, elastic material of which the pouch is constructed includes two panels of equal size and shape which are securely and cooperatively affixed to one another in parallel orientation about their circumferential edges to form the flexible pouch. Closure means are employed for narrowing the opening in the neck portion and retaining the contents therein.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a garment support that satisfies this need for substantial waist size adjustability, yet maintaining comfort and style. A garment support having features of the present invention comprises a flexible, expandable, inner tube-type device to which an air intake and release mechanism will be attached. The present invention can be built into the inner waistband of garments or can be made detachable therefrom.

Abstract: A load bearing vest for use by military and police personnel includes a right front panel, a left front panel and a rear panel, each being formed of a durable, abrasion resistant material. Right and left shoulder straps, also formed of durable abrasion resistant material, connect an upper portion of the rear panel with upper portions of the right front panel and left front panel respectively. Expandable right and left side panels formed of elastic material with a high strain capacity, connect the rear panel with the right front panel and the left front panel respectively below the shoulder strap to define right and left arm openings respectively therebetween. The side panels extend downward to the end of the front and rear panels. An expandable front closure connects the right front panel with the left front panel. A floating center panel is connected to the front closure in such a manner that the front closure remains elastically expandable independent of the floating panel.

Abstract: Two-piece padded skating shorts include a padded core shell and an outside shell releasably fastened to the padded core by first and second pairs of complementarily-formed fastening members at leg portions thereof. The padded core shell includes ball joint, thigh, hip, tail bone, kidney and buttocks pads, some of which include curved reinforced padding. The outside shell includes at least one pocket to store items therein. Waist portions of the core shell and the outside shell each include a belt sewn therein to secure the core shell and the outside shell to a wearer thereof.

Abstract: A belt designed for size adjustability, self-sealing closure, and temporary engagement to the waistband of skirt/slack of the wearer. The belt utilizes an outer face of fashion fabric and an inner face of fabric of mutually adhesive material with the addition of one relatively small strip of mutually adhesive material on one end of the fashion fabric and a closure strip traversely affixed to the opposite end of the fashion fabric. A continuous band is formed by engaging the small strip of mutually adhesive material to the inner fabric at any point along the circumference. The closure strip is folded around the engaged belt and then temporarily affixed to the inner fabric in c-shaped fashion by mutually adhesive material strips securely affixed to the ends of the closure strip.
