Abstract: The present disclosure relates to medical packaging for the accommodation of medical supplies. The medical packaging discussed herein has a plurality of panels, including a first panel, a second panel, and a third panel, that are releasably secured together to establish a first sterile environment between the first panel and the second panel for the retention of a first medical supply, and a second sterile environment between the second panel and the third panel for the retention of a second medical supply. The panels are configured for relative movement such that movement of the first panel relative to the second panel reveals the first medical supply without compromising the second sterile environment, and movement of the second panel relative to the third panel reveals the second medical supply. The panels are arranged for sequential separation in accordance with the steps of the procedure in which the medical supplies are employed.

  • Patent number: 8125452
Abstract: The electronic book cover is of a thick board adapted to support an electronic device, such as a calculator or MP3 player. A cutout in the board receives the electronic device, and it is securely bolstered to the main block of book pages. The board is completely covered by an elastic skin, except in an opening where the device displays visual information. The cover also includes a keypad, labeled with various characters and symbols, which can be pressed to initiate the processing of preprogrammed functions by the electronic device. A layered switch circuit lies underneath the soft keypad and is comprised of two distinct layers: the first dielectric film layer has rows and columns of checkered conductive sections facing inward towards the book cover, and the second dielectric film layer has a pattern of disconnected electric contacts at locations facing the conductive sections and is superimposed in the keypad.

  • Patent number: 8100262
Abstract: A blank (10) for forming a secondary package without a heat-seal process is disclosed. The secondary package can be an inner slide card configured to receive one or more blister packs (51). A pocket opening (30) can be formed in one panel (14) of the blank (10). Receiving portions (44) can be formed on one or more panels. A blister pack (51) can be inserted into the secondary package through the pocket opening (30). The receiving portions (44) can mechanically interact with edges (56) of a blister pack (51) to retain the blister pack (51) in a desired position. The exit regions of an inserted blister pack (51) can be aligned with gates (40) formed in a panel (12) of the secondary package. When the blister pack (51) is in the proper orientation relative to the secondary package, the blister pack (51) can be locked in place mechanically, glued in place, or both.

  • Patent number: 7946424
Abstract: A design board container enabling the arrangement and temporary positional securement of beading elements is provided. The container includes a base member and a lid member preferably in hinged relationship with one another. The base member and lid member include a design liner and lid liner, respectively, formed of a resiliently deformable and preferably compressible material. The liners are preferably substantially planar, i.e., a flat surface, so as to allow for free form designing unconstrained by preset channels. By closing the container, the lid surface engages the design surface and beading elements such that the beading elements deform the design liner and are positionally secured between the design liner and the lid liner. The surfaces of the lid liner and the design liner preferably comprise gripping members, such as filamentary or hair-like elements.
