  • Patent number: 11187506
Abstract: A projectile and method of deploying a projectile includes a gun-launched projectile having a pressure reservoir that is fluidly connected to an ejection piston and fin deployment pistons. The fin deployment pistons are actuatable to engage deployable fins of the projectile to move the fins from a folded position to a deployed position. Gas pressure is generated by an external burning propellant to pressurize the pressure reservoir that retains the gas until a muzzle exit of the projectile. When the projectile exits the barrel, the reservoir gas expands thereby causing movement of the ejection piston. When a trailing end of the piston moves past fin deployment piston ports, the remaining reservoir gas pressure acts on the fin deployment pistons which subsequently push on the fins. The fins rotate toward the deployed position in which the fins are locked before the ejection piston is fully ejected.

  • Patent number: 10421570
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for packaging an article of merchandise with a film material using a packaging apparatus. The film is a side-pleated tubular film roll. An input device receives the sole film packaging parameters of the thickness of the film, the width of the film, and the distance between a first side fold and a second side fold of the film. Based on these three film packaging parameters, a controller determines a specified length of the tubular film for packaging the article, and the packaging apparatus cuts off a segment of the tubular film having that specified length. The packaging apparatus then draws the segment of tubular film over the article being packaged.

Abstract: A method for packaging a pack commodity, including providing a support element for supporting the pack commodity. The method also includes placing a first packaging material sheet onto the support element and disposing the pack commodity on the first packaging material sheet such that a portion of the first packaging material sheet comes to lie between the support element and the pack commodity, wherein the first packaging material sheet protrudes over the pack commodity. Next, a second packaging material sheet is placed onto an upper side of the pack commodity so that the second packaging material sheet protrudes over the pack commodity. The first packaging material sheet is joined, in some regions, to the second packaging material sheet. The first and the second packaging material sheets are adhesively joined in a respective, predetermined first region, along a periphery of the support element, such that they can be separated and re-joined.

  • Patent number: 8962113
Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat-shrinkable laminate film comprising a surface layer composed mainly of polyester resin, an intermediate layer composed mainly of styrene resin, and an adhesive layer composed mainly of adhesive resin, wherein heat shrinkage in the main shrink direction is at least 10% and less than 30% when the film is dipped in water of 70° C. for 10 seconds, and at least 30% and at most 70% when dipped in water of 80° C. for 10 seconds, or its tensile modulus of elasticity in a direction perpendicular to the main shrink direction is at least 1,200 MPa. The heat-shrinkable film has excellent film elasticity, shrink finishing quality, transparency when incorporated as recycled, natural shrinkage, and suppressed delamination, making it suitable for application in shrink wrapping, shrink bundling wrapping, shrink label, and a plastic container provided with a heat shrinkable film made of such a film.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a cable packaging for medical devices that is provided with a perforated line and having heat shrinkage characteristic. With a capable packaging for medical devices to wrap around a cable that is configured to connect two or more apparatuses to each other, the cable packaging is formed of material that is shrunken by heat so as to come into close contact with the cable, and the cable packaging includes a perforated line so as to be separated from the cable. By forming the packaging using heat shrinkage material, a packaging volume is reduced, and by fixing the packaging so as to come into close contact with the cable, the durability of a connecting portion is improved.

  • Publication number: 20140325940
Abstract: A method for packaging a large component into a protective case, which has a first and second reclosable access and a plurality of protective-case parts, wherein the large component has an access opening, comprising the following steps: providing prefabricated protective-case parts; attaching the protective-case parts to the large component; welding the transitions between the protective-case parts; shrinking the protective case; and arranging the first reclosable access in the protective case over the access opening. The packaging process is significantly accelerated compared to the known methods due to the prefabrication of the protective-case parts before the start of the method. Furthermore, the prefabrication provides the advantage that the prefabricated parts can be produced in series. As a result, the protective-case parts for several large components of the same type can be produced or purchased more cheaply.
