Abstract: A container has an upper container edge and a fully circumferential lateral wall and an upper container opening closed by a lid. A latching rim is provided near the upper container edge for connection with a corresponding latching rim provided on the lid. The lid has a lid rim portion arranged above the upper container edge. The lid has at least one extension extending outside the lateral container wall and below the lid lower edge. The extension and container have mutually corresponding fasteners independently releasable of the latching rims. The lid and/or the container has an actuator area different from the fasteners on the lid extension and the container and/or from the lid extension itself. When the actuator area has been actuated, the fasteners between the lid extension and the container are more easily releasable and, where applicable, easier to close.

Abstract: A trash can includes a lid assembly including a lid and a retainer rim and a transition arrangement coupled with the lid assembly that enables the lid to be selectively transited between a normal state and a transition state. In the normal state, the lid is operable between an open state and a close state through a foot pedal. When the lid is pivotally lifted up to have an included angle larger than 90 degrees from the retainer rim, the lid is in the transition state that would not fall back toward the retainer rim and the retainer rim is able to be lifted up to rest on said lid for replacing trash bag until the retainer rim is moved back to site on an upper edge of a shell of the trash can.

Abstract: A printing device includes: a device case having a front aperture; a first hinge disposed in the device case; and a front cover that is disposed in the first hinge and that exposes or hides the front aperture. The first hinge includes: a joint member; a first rotation shaft that joins the front cover to the joint member; and a second rotation shaft that joins the device case to the joint member. When the front cover hides the front aperture, the joint member covers a gap between the device case and the front cover inside the device case.

Abstract: Sterilization packaging systems with features for sealing a volume against an ingress of contaminants are provided. Such features include a frame including a plurality of vertical members and a plurality of horizontal members, each vertical member and horizontal member having an inner side and an outer side; a sterilization wrap, a first portion of the sterilization wrap positioned adjacent the inner side of each vertical member and each horizontal member to define a volume and an opening to access the volume; and a lid for sealing the volume against an ingress of contaminants. Additionally, a sterility gauge for signaling whether the volume is sealed against contaminants also may be provided. Exemplary sterilization packaging systems may include other features as well.

Abstract: A panel assembly includes a multilayer panel including first and second layers made of loftable material characterized by a molded orientation resultant from lofting and subsequently compressing the loftable material during molding of the multilayer panel. The panel assembly may be light-weight with a low profile to minimize protrusion into an opening or compartment enclosed by the panel. The multilayer panel may be configured to as a floor panel enclosing an opening defined by a floor structure, which may be a vehicle floor. The multilayer panel may include at least one recess portion configured to strengthen the multilayer panel. A method of making the multilayer panel includes tethering the loftable material in a tethering frame prior to lofting and transferring the tethering frame including the lofted material into a mold to form into the multilayer panel. The tethering frame retains offal for removal from the mold after forming the panel.

Abstract: A spill proof container assembly having a receptacle, a non spill barrier, a collar with a hook, a handle and a cover. The cover has in integrated hinge strap disposed at a peripheral edge. The hinge strap has a first surface having a curved notch and a second surface with a raised bump. When the hinge strap is attached to the hook, the cover pivots between an open position and closed position.

Abstract: A sealing structure for a plastic packing box, comprising: a packing box body, made by bending a plastic plate; top and bottom openings; and cover plates, configured on sides of each opening and bended inward to stack together to seat the opening, wherein a premade mating frame is respectively engaged with sealing end faces of the outer cover plates configured on two opposite sides of the main body and bended to each other to form a sealing edge, the mating frames are a male-female pair stacked together to sealing the box, ensuring that two end faces is neat after box body sealing, the opposite inner edges of the two mating frames are respectively configured with male and female buckling elements allowed to be pressed together to engage with each other after the stacking, thereby achieving stable and safe buckling, while the cover plate are stacked together simply.

Abstract: Disclosed is a tamper-evident container for food storage that uses a round male to female post lock on a single corner. After the cover is locked to the tray base, it requires breaking the corner tray tab to open the container. This tab tear off provides positive evidence of container opening to indicate the container has been opened or tampered with.

Abstract: A container for disposing of waste includes a receptacle, a first pivoting member having a first disposal surface and a first pair of opposing sides, and a second pivoting member having a second disposal surface and a second pair of opposing sides. The second pair of opposing sides are operatively coupled to the first pair of opposing sides such that waste deposited on either the first disposal surface or the second disposal surface causes concurrent counter rotation of both the first pivoting member and the second pivoting member. The first pivoting member includes a pair of opposing projections secured in a stationary position to the first pair of opposing sides and the second pivoting member includes a pair of opposing apertures formed in a stationary position in the second pair of opposing sides. The opposing projections translate within the opposing apertures during the concurrent counter rotation.

Abstract: A plastic container having a longitudinal axis includes an upper portion that defines an opening into the container and a sidewall portion that extends from the upper portion in a longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. The container also includes a base portion that extends from the sidewall portion and that closes off the container. The upper portion further includes a rim member, a neck member that extends in the longitudinal direction away from the rim member, and a shoulder member that extends from the neck to the sidewall portion. The shoulder member extends at an acute angle relative to a transverse plane that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The upper portion also includes at least one reinforcing member that extends in the longitudinal direction between the rim member and the shoulder member. The reinforcing member projects outwardly from the neck member.

Abstract: A storage container according to the present invention includes a base and a lid hingedly coupled to one another to enable rotation of the lid between a closed position in which the lid is disposed parallel with a bottom wall of the base and an open position in which the lid is rotated with respect to the base between 110 and 230 degrees. A number of hinge assemblies are provided between the base and the lid for rotation of the lid thereabout. The hinge assemblies include a base engaging assembly and a lid engaging assembly for coupling between the base and the lid respectively. The lid engaging assembly includes a receiver configured to engage a pin of the lid for hinged rotation of the lid thereabout. The receiver is configured to enable the lid to break away from the lid as desired or under impact from an external force.

Abstract: A cover for a pie pan or similar type of pan or plate has a ring and a lid pivotally attached to the ring by a flex joint. A pan is placed into the ring with a lip of the pan resting on top of the ring. The cover is folded over and pressed down onto the ring. Interlocking elements on tabs on the ring and lid engage each other and hold the lid down onto the ring, with the lip of the pan between them. The lid may include inwardly projecting teeth spaced apart on an inside surface of the lid, with the teeth adapted to hold the lip of a pan between the ring and the lid.

Abstract: A convertible storage container and methods are provided for the remediation of environmentally damaged articles. The container defines an interior chamber for receiving the environmentally damaged articles therein, the container having at least one container door for closing an access opening into the container. A conversion door is removably positionable with respect to the access opening so as to close the access opening with the container door in an opened condition. The conversion door includes a conversion door panel and a plurality of access ports through the door panel for connection of ducts to permit remediation of the environmentally damaged articles within the interior chamber.

Abstract: A roller shutter type storage container includes a container body, a roller shutter accommodating portion, a pair of guide grooves, and a roller shutter. Each of the guide grooves extends linearly in an opening of the container body and is curved in the roller shutter accommodating portion. The roller shutter is configured by connecting a plurality of slats each having shafts formed in the widthwise direction at two ends of the slat in a bendable manner. As the two shafts slide in the corresponding guide grooves, the roller shutter slides between an open position and a close position. Each one of the shafts is spaced from a vertical wall surface of the corresponding one of the guide grooves. A projection formed of soft material projects outward from each shaft of each slat in the widthwise direction and contacts the corresponding vertical wall surface in an elastically deformed state.

Abstract: A cosmetic compact having an expansive base member containing a series of upwardly-facing product wells to accommodate one or more cosmetic items, the compact further having a cover member, and having a shuttle piece interposed between the base member and cover member. The various parts have cooperating slide components for permitting relative movement of the members in four opposed directions. A versatile, four way slide compact construction is thus made possible.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a cooking splatter screen comprising an access hatch are provided. In one embodiment, a splatter screen is provided, the splatter screen comprising: a screen portion; a handle; and an access hatch, wherein the access hatch is operatively connected to the screen portion by a joint. The splatter screen may prevent splattered cooking ingredients from exiting a pan, skillet, or pot, while allowing a chef to selectively access the interior of the pan, skillet, or pot to manipulate food therein or insert additional ingredients.

The systems can be stacked atop one another to allow for multiple systems to be placed atop a moving platform such as a rocking platform or an orbital shaker.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an externally operated alpha port for a rapid transfer port (RTP) system such as those found in isolation barrier systems. Means are provided for the actuation by the operator of the alpha port door locking system externally of the isolation barrier to facilitate the locking and unlocking of the alpha port door without requiring gloved entry into the isolation barrier. Means are also provided for opening and closing of the alpha port door with the actuation by the operator of a lever external to the isolation barrier.

Abstract: A packaging system is provided. The packaging system may include a barrier sheet and a container. The barrier sheet may have a first half and a second half. The second half may include a perforation bisecting the second half into two approximately equal quarters. Each of the two quarters may form a pull tab near the rectangular corners. A user may easily and conveniently assemble a food product having at least one wet fixing, a first portion of dry fixings and a second portion of dry fixings, whereby the barrier sheet sandwiches the at least one wet fixing between the first and second portion of dry fixings. When ready to eat, the user may grasp the pull tabs and evenly tear apart the second half along the perforation so that the dry fixings and the at least one wet fixing do not adhere to the barrier sheet as the second and first half may be removed from the food product, whereby the dry fixings remained as dry as when the food product was made.

Abstract: The present invention provides a resealable closure system that may be incorporated into a container for storing and dispensing moisture sensitive product, such as a dry wiping substrate and more preferably a dry wipe useful for facial cleansing or the application of make-up. The closure system is not only resealable, but is also substantially watertight as a result of the lid having a sealing flange and an overhang.

Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to a container and dispensing system, and more particularly to a refillable container that includes a container base having a partially open bottom, a refill cartridge disposed in the container base and covering at least a portion of the open bottom, and a lid. Providing a container base with a partially open bottom provides the user with an easy means of removing the refill cartridge, as the user may simply contact the refill cartridge through the bottom opening and push it upward through the open top of the container.

Abstract: A hinge pin lock for a molded plastic container includes a locking tab molded with an upper rim of the container and connected to the upper rim by a living hinge. The locking tab is pivotable from an open position to a locked position. A channel is formed in the upper rim and is sized to receive a hinge pin of a container lid. The channel includes engagement structure that secures the locking tab in the locked position.

Abstract: A dual-chambered beverage container in the form of a shot glass. The interior of the glass is bisected via a hinged divider flap, creating two separate chambers within the glass. The upper chamber holds a first beverage, preferably a shot of hard liquor, while the bottom chamber holds a volume of a second beverage, such as soda or juice. When the shot glass is in a resting position, the divider flap is closed, segregating the beverages in their respective chambers. A user begins to drink the first beverage, the hinged diver flap will slowly swing open, allowing the second beverage to flow out of the bottom chamber, through the upper chamber, and into the user's mouth. Thus the user experiences the taste of the shot of hard liquor only briefly before consuming the chaser beverage.
