Abstract: Multipositional apparatus for hanging articles such as ties, belts, shoes, bras, hats etc. includes a flexible main body comprising a series of intertwined rigid links including a first end link, a series of intermediate links and a second end link, as well as a plurality of hooks that project from the links, including at least several intermediate hooks that project perpendicularly from a segment of the series of intermediate links and including an end hook projecting from the first end link. The hooks have a straight portion and a curved portion, the curved portion being shaped so as to receive articles or to be hung on a projecting member. The straight portion of the end hook is aligned collinearly with an axis of the nearest segment of the series of intermediate links. The entire apparatus is suitable for being hung by a selected hooks which may be any of several hooks and is adjustable in length and shape by virtue of which hook is the selected hook to hang the apparatus on.

Abstract: A closet space saver molded as a single, unitary piece of a plastic material and hangs from a closet rod from a rod hook that is sufficiently wide to stabilize the device and keep it from undue side-to-side rocking. A V-shaped portion with open-sided slots hangs below the rod hook so that the hooks of coat hangers can be inserted into the slots from the side. The wide rod hook has an opening therein formed in a molding operation that makes it possible to mold the closet space saved in a single closing and opening of a the mold but without the use of cams. Attachments made of or containing a fragrant substance can be removably attached to the closet space saver to provide a pleasing fragrance and/or inhibit insects.

Abstract: A jewelry installation device comprising a clamping device for operatively supporting a spring ring for coupling ends of an article of jewelry together, comprises a support and a clamp supported by the support. The support may comprise a handle structured and configured to be grasped between the fingers and the palm of a user's hand so as to orient the clamp proximate the wrist of the user. The clamp is structured and configured to hold the spring ring of a chain bracelet in an open position and proximate the wrist of the user, rendering both hands of the user free to grasp and operate the spring ring and manipulate the jump ring of the chain (opposite the spring ring) to engage the jump ring with the spring ring. Upon opening the clamp, the spring ring is released and upon being released, the spring ring closes upon the jump ring, coupling the spring ring and jump ring together.

Abstract: An apparatus for clipping two or more articles of clothing, such as socks, together. The apparatus includes two jaw members which are hingeably attached and a securing member that has two arms which are respectively positioned in two channels in the two jaw members. The securing member is slidable between a closed position, where it urges the two jaw members inward to thereby securely clamp the two articles of clothing therebetween, and an open position where one of the arms is not engaged with one of the jaw members allowing the jaw members to be separable to permit removal of the two articles of clothing. The apparatus includes a latch mechanism comprised of a ridge in one of the channels and a lip in the corresponding arm which engage to retain the securing member in the closed position. The apparatus is used to keep articles of clothing together during washing and drying.

Abstract: In the preferred embodiment, opposing jaws are biased closed for grasping the clasp of a string type bracelet. Prior to grasping, as the clasp is being inserted between the jaws, a post or boss asserts a reactive force against an operating lever of the clasp causing the clasp to open. While the clasp is held open, the jaws are released to grasp the clasp and keep it open. Preferably the jaws are affixed to a wrist band which when wrapped around a user's wrist holds the grasped clasp in a position to loop the bracelet around the wrist and hook an eyelet at the opposite end of the bracelet onto the clasp. When the jaws are opened to release the clasp, the clasp closes capturing the eyelet. The wrist band is then removed leaving only the bracelet around the wrist. The clip can also be used to hold earring clasps for easy placement on earring studs, and for other kinds of jewelry.

Abstract: The invention thus comprises a hem holding device for the temporary shortening and raising of a hem line of an article of clothing by the wearer of that clothing. The device includes an elongated front panel having a first end, a second end, a front side and a rear side with a thin piercing pin extending off of the rear side of the front panel adjacent the first end thereof. A frame member has a proximal end extending off of the rear side of the front panel at the second end thereof, the frame member also having a distal end with a hinge thereon. A pivotable finger is attached to the hinge on the frame member, the finger having a first end in swingable engagement with the piercing pin, the finger also having a gripping surface defining a first plane.

Abstract: A clothespin where a rotary body which is provided with a plurality of blade portions is pivotally supported on a pinching member to pinch the pinching object with the blade portion, the pinching object can be firmly supported with the elastic force of the blade portion and the rotation of the rotary body is adapted to be effected smoothly in the taking off operation of the pinching object.

Abstract: An apparatus for storing a certain garments in a twisted manner when drying or not being worn to produce a desired appearance when worn. The apparatus consists of a helical structural frame having a top and bottom and a longitudinal axis therebetween with a pitch large enough to permit portions of a garment to be manually forced and twisted between aligned and spaced-apart segments of the frame.

Abstract: A plastic clip constructed in accordance with the present invention comprises an elongated frame portion. The elongated frame portion includes a guide channel having a closed end and an open end. The closed end is located at a position proximal to a first end of the frame portion and the open end is located at the opposite end of the guide channel from the closed end. The frame portion further includes channel a blocking portion for blocking the open end of the guide channel. The blocking portion comprises a looking tab attached to the frame portion adjacent to the open end of the guide channel. The blocking means further comprises tab engaging portion for releasably receiving and securing the looking tab. The arrangement thereby permits a plurality of similar articles to be clipped by inserting them onto the guide channel and securing them there by closing engaging the blocking portion.

Abstract: A multigarment, insect infestation inhibiting hanger device for use on a clothes bar. The device, which saves closet space, has a hook portion for disposition on a clothes bar on one end thereof. The hook portion is also disposed within or through a main body member cut from preferably incense cedar or molded of a mixture of incense cedar chips and a suitable resin. The device is configured to receive either a plurality of hanger in slots of garment receivers, or garment hanging loops upon upstanding segments of these garment receivers. The device permits the user to compactly group similar garments together for organization of the closet.

Abstract: A hanger for a pre-tied knotted necktie assembly is disclosed in which the assembly includes a necktie, a knot support to form a necktie knot, a clip for removably mounting the necktie assembly onto the neckband of a shirt collar, and a positioning post extending through the necktie knot. The hanger includes an upper hook portion, a central body portion, and a lower stem portion. The stem portion has an opening therethrough adapted to fit over the post of the necktie assembly whereby a retaining nut, when placed over the post with the stem portion positioned between the necktie knot and the nut, will securely maintain the necktie assembly on the hanger. Removal of the necktie assembly from the hanger is achieved by severing the stem portion from the body portion of the hanger.

Abstract: A hanger for securing a pair of gloves to each other and for hanging the pair of gloves from a peg. A hanger is formed with a hook, and a pair of ribs are provided on a pair of members which are spring loaded toward each other such that the ribs will engage the gloves therebetween to secure the gloves to each other and to the clip. A fastener is passed through a hole formed in each of the pair of members so as to prevent the ribs from being disengaged from each other unless the fastener is destroyed.

Abstract: An embroidery frame having generally rectangular shaped side members and front and back members that define the perimeter of the frame, a clamp that is integrated with and extends across the front member of the frame having ends that attach to the respective side members. A cross member extends across the approximate mid-section of the frame, has ends that attach to the respective side members and includes a plurality of vertically oriented teeth that penetrate and hold a section of the fabric of the hat to assist in drawing taut the working area that is to be embroidered or monogrammed. The cross member is slideably adjusted along the length of the frame and is adapted to be fixed securedly to the side members when the hat is being monogrammed or embroidered. Incorporated in the frame and mounted at the approximate mid-section of the front member is a curved rod member, which is attached to a lever assembly that permits the rod to be lowered and lifted from the working area.

Abstract: A hand-held implement for use in the repair of wear holes and tears in fabric apparel items, particularly socks, T-shirts and sweat suits, in cooperation with fabric hole patch pre-forms bearing a heat activated adhesive coating. The implement is an egg-shaped form having a handgrip handle extending downwardly from the smaller end of the form and having a flattened anvil surface area at its larger head end. A fabric heat-resistant cover, having a Teflon coating, encompasses the egg-shaped form for interface with the fabric of an apparel item in the area requiring hole repair, a pre-form patch material bearing a heat activated adhesive coating, and a hand-held heated ironing device for the application of heat and pressure to the apparel item and patch material in opposition to the egg-shaped form and its flattened anvil surface area.

Abstract: Non-slip strips are affixed to the shoulder members of garment hangers by supporting a row of resilient, adhesive-backed, non-slip strips removably adhered to a backing with a holder and by engagably drawing a guided garment hanger shoulder member along one such strip. The strip is thereby simultaneously removed from the backing and affixed to the garment hanger to assist in the retention of garments hanging thereon.

Abstract: An article hanger of the type having an elongated body with dependent arms supporting a rod. The arms have rod support means which permits the rod to be assembled to the hanger body through a face of the body after the hanger has been molded. The support means includes a member for locking the rod into its supporting means in a manner preventing unintentional release. Article clamps for the hanger are mounted on the rod.

Abstract: An embroidery frame or fixture having a generally rectangular shape, side members and front and back members that define the perimeter of the frame, a clamp that extends across the frame having ends that attach to the respective side members and a cross member that extends across the approximate mid-section of the frame having ends that attach to the respective side members. The cross member includes a plurality of vertically oriented teeth that penetrate and grab a portion of the back of the hat to assist in drawing taut the working area on the front portion that is to be embroidered or monogrammed. The clamp and the cross member are slidably adjustable along the length of the frame, but are fixed securely to the side members when the hat is mounted to the frame and in the process of being monogrammed or embroidered. The frame is constructed so as to be easily mountable to the pantograph.

Abstract: A stretching and folding clamping assembly for retaining a workpiece in a predetermined position, wherein a lower clamp arm is pivotally and displaceably mounted on a support bracket. An upper clamp arm is pivotally attached to the lower clamp arm and a pair of attached toggle levers are connected at one end to the support bracket and at a further end to the upper clamp arm. A spring assembly is attached to the support bracket and toggle arms for biasing the toggle arms and upper clamp arm into one of two stable positions, namely an open position wherein end portions of the upper and lower clamp arms are spaced from one another or a closed position wherein end portions of the clamp arms are adjacent one another. A locking mechanism is arranged between one of the clamp arms and the support bracket to retain the clamp arms in the closed, stable position until a desired opening movement of the clamping assembly is initiated.
