A pivot stud is affixable to the fastener driver over its drive head and is receivable through openings in the mount body and feed orientation arm so that the outflow locator is pivotable about the drive head to selectively change direction of material feed presentation relative to the drive head.

Abstract: A pocket-sizing method for a device that inserts staple drivers into pockets aligned to form a slot in a surgical staple cartridge. A fin extends from a driver guide fixture for insertion into the slot. The fin increases the size of the slot, thereby aiding in inserting drivers into the pockets. Preferably a second fin extends from the driver guide fixture adjacent the fixture passage and aligned with the first fin. A gap is formed between the first and second fins, extending from a first edge to an opposite edge of the fixture passage. The driver is driven through the gap. The fins are substantially equal to the thickness of the driver. The fins have tapered leading edges to aid cartridge insertion and removal, and a lip extends from the driver guide fixture for preventing the fins from widening the slot too much and for narrowing an overly wide slot.

Abstract: A stapler includes left and right shells, a front shell, a staple magazine, an urging plate and a controlling switch. The left and right shells are connected with each other, such that a receiving space is defined therebetween. The front shell is connected with front portions of the left and right shells and provided with an opening in communication with the receiving space. The staple magazine is detachably disposed in the receiving space and the urging plate is disposed in front of the staple magazine. The controlling switch is reciprocally slidably disposed in the opening of the front shell and adapted to adjust a gap between the staple magazine and the urging plate for fitting various staples having different thickness. Because the front side of the front shell is seamless without connective joint, the stapler is strong in structure and durable in use.

  • Patent number: 8136710
Abstract: The present invention relates to an powered stapling device and, more specifically, but not limited to, a powered stapling device for driving staples over a strip of linear material, such as a cable located in an otherwise inaccessible or difficult to reach place. The stapling device includes an actuation mechanism, a handle, a staple ejection mechanism, and a drive arm operable along a primary axis of the stapling device. The actuation mechanism provides energy to the drive arm, which in turn engages the staple ejection mechanism, which in turn drives the staple. At least a portion of the staple engagement mechanism may be positioned at an angle with respect to the primary axis. This configuration of the staple engagement mechanism allows the stapling device to drive the staple at an angle relative to the linear object being stapled, even when the primary axis of stapling device is aligned substantially parallel or substantially perpendicular to the linear object being stapled.
