Abstract: A method of forming a container from a blank. The method can comprise obtaining a blank having a wall portion, a flange portion, and a coating on at least a portion of the flange portion. At least one score line can extend at least partially in the flange portion, and the coating can at least partially cover the at least one score line. The method further can comprise forming the container from the blank by forming a wall of the container from the wall portion and forming a flange of the container from the flange portion. The flange can extend from the wall. The forming the container further can comprise forming the at least one score line into at least one pleat in at least the flange. The coating can at least partially cover the at least one pleat to form a substantially continuous sealing surface on the flange.

Abstract: A gable top packaging container has a plurality of upstanding side walls including a first side wall, a front wall, a rear wall and a second side wall, wherein the front wall connects to a front gable panel and the back wall connects to a back gable panel, both extending up to a sealed top fin, the first side wall connects to a first side gable panel, and the second side wall connects to a second side gable panel, wherein the walls are separated by crease lines extending in a longitudinal direction of the packaging container, characterized in that the front wall is continuous with the front gable panel, and the back wall is continuous with the back gable panel.

Abstract: A packaging construction being formed by multi-layer board material includes a middle layer, a first outer layer attached to the middle layer and a second outer layer attached to the middle layer. The packaging construction defines a bottom side, a top side, and a plurality of side panels joining the bottom side and the top side so as to form a closed structure. At least one edge is defined between adjacent side panels. The packaging construction is arranged so that the second outer layer has a lower bending stiffness according to ISO 5628 than the first outer layer such that the board is outwardly bendable only in a direction towards which the second layer faces, and in that the packaging construction is formed with at least one side panel being curved and/or at least one edge being rounded.

The bottom panel includes a plurality of slots configured to receive stacking tabs of a formed container. The panels comprise a top panel and at least one side panel foldably connected to the top panel. A plurality of features in the top panel receives and holds a top portion of the plurality of containers. Each of the plurality of features comprises an opening in the top panel wherein the top panel has at least two edges at least partially forming a respective opening to engage a respective container of the plurality of containers to at least partially attach the respective container to the package. The at least two edges are in contact with an underside of a flange of the respective container.
