  • Patent number: 11950905
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for measuring a physiological parameter of a human limb such as peripheral capillary oxygen saturation. The device comprises a hollow elastic sleeve of a predetermined shape comprising a cavity having a closed-loop cross-section for enclosing the limb; first and second arms, each comprising a hinge portion between a coupling portion and a handle portion, the coupling portion of the first and second arms being adapted to be coupled, respectively, to first and second diametrically-opposite longitudinal sections of the sleeve; and a physiological sensor for interacting with the limb enclosed in said cavity. The hollow elastic sleeve holds the first and the second arms and causes their hinge portions to mutually engage to form a hinge mechanism so that, by applying a compression force on the handle portions, the first and second arms rotate about the hinge mechanism expanding the cavity, allowing the limb to be received therein.

  • Patent number: 11835164
Abstract: A device, that can attach near a distal end of a cord, has a receptacle therein for removably further attaching the device to the cord itself. Thus, a cord on a tool, for example, can be wrapped around the tool or a cord storage area of the tool and the end of the cord can be removably clipped onto the cord itself, thus removing the need to wrap or tie the end of the cord while keeping the cord from tangling or unwrapping. Typically, the device is permanently affixed to the cord, near its distal end. Various means can be used to secure the device to the cord, including adhesive, a locking mechanism, friction, or combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 11813407
Abstract: An anchoring system secures a catheter to the body of a patient and arrests axial movement of the catheter without impairing fluid flow through the catheter. The anchoring system can include an anchor pad that adheres to the patient's skin and supports a retainer. The retainer can include interengaging structure that moves the retainer between an open and a closed position. When in the open position, the retainer can receive a portion of the catheter and be subsequently moved to the closed position. The interengaging structure can allow the retainer to receive catheters of various sizes. The retainer can include one or more retention mechanisms to further inhibit axial movement of the catheter relative to the retainer when the catheter is secured therein. The anchoring system can include a mount that allows the retainer to rotate relative to the anchor pad.

Abstract: Fasteners including male and female assemblies. At least one of the male or female assembly may have a flexible base that flexes to conform to a non-planar mounting surface. The flexible base is bonded to the stud and/or the socket using techniques that provide a high degree of strength to withstand repeated engagement and disengagement of the fastener. Moreover, in certain embodiments the bonding techniques eliminate the need for mechanical means (for example, threads) to secure the stud to the flexible base. Mechanical tests show that the male assembly according to certain embodiments has 62% more strength than known male assemblies.
