    Abstract: A curved railing system that does not use curved infill panels and has a continuous curved top rail. It uses a series of posts that follow the desired curve. The posts have a bottom rail and space to hold infill panels that may be glass, solid panels, perforated panels, vertical pickets, or cables. All of these infill panels are straight panels that are not curved. A special post cap is installed on the posts. The post cap has pivoting articulating brackets that are used to support and align glass channels. The top rail is a continuous length of railing that matches the desired curve. The top rail is placed over the posts and glass channels. In this way, the entire assembly produces a curved rail design at a lower cost and with less labor than a conventional curved rail.

The rear bracket portion typically includes two rectangular planar bodies pivotally connected to each other at respective corners. The ends of uprights and rails are connected between the front and rear bracket portions and secured together with rivets, bolts or other suitable. An adjustable gate bracket is secured at each corner of the gate panel. The gate panel is then adjusted to a desired angular orientation on a hill or other contour. Once the desired configuration is attained, the front and rear portions are fixed so that they do not pivot and the gate retains its angular orientation.

    Abstract: A fence is constructed of fence sections with at least two parallel horizontal rails and vertical pickets attached to the rails. These sections may be preassembled. They are held at their ends in connectors fastened to vertical posts. Rails have unique sectional profiles for enhanced rigidity for spanning greater distances between posts. Rail profile is a channel with open bottom, a flat top web, and a pair of legs extending down from the top web. An additional web extends down one side and joins one of the legs to provide extra rigidity. Apertures in the top web corresponding to the shape of the pickets receive the pickets therethrough. Pickets are fastened to the rails by features which enable the rails to assume an angle other than 90 degrees for securing between post that are not at the same elevation, or “racking”.
