Wheel Supports For Outboard Motors Patents (Class 280/DIG2)
  • Patent number: 5566960
Abstract: A storage and carriage stand for an outboard motor. The stand has a wheeled base constructed of opposing elongate side portions and a transversely positioned interior end portion which extends between the side portions tubular steel members. The base members support a frame which includes opposed upright members which are interconnected by a transversely positioned and vertically disposed generally planar shaped transom, to which an outboard motor may be securely affixed. The transport stand base is generally U-shaped so as to include an open end, with the open end being of sufficient width to allow a selected outboard motor which is being attached to said stand to freely pass between said opposing elongate side portions until said transom is reached by the outboard motor.

  • Patent number: 5123803
Abstract: A stern drive handling device includes a wheeled lower support frame and an extensible upper support frame telescopically mounted on the lower support frame. A horizontally disposed hollow sleeve is secured to the upper end of the upper support frame and a screw jack is provided for adjusting the height of the sleeve relative to the lower support frame. A support bracket assembly is pivotally mounted in the sleeve for swinging movement about a horizontal axis and a pair of pivoted clamps adapted to engage the cavitation plates on the housing of a stern drive unit are pivotally mounted on the support bracket assembly for pivotal adjusting movement about a second horizontal axis orthogonal to the first horizontal axis. The clamps may be secured in any desired pivoted position and limit stops are provided to limit the pivoting movement of the clamps.

  • Patent number: 5035437
Abstract: A carrier adapted for transporting an outboard motor having an upper unit, the upper unit movably supporting a tiller handle and a transom bracket adapted to releasably secure the upper unit to the transom of a boat, the carrier comprising a frame adapted for travel over the ground, a false transom supported by the frame and adapted to receive the transom bracket, and a mechanism on the frame for restricting movement of the tiller handle relative to the false transom.

  • Patent number: 4396205
Abstract: A two-wheeled golf cart provided with a container intended for receiving the wheel undercarriage, the legs of which can be moved apart to operative position, and on which the container is arranged in weightless outbalanced condition, whereby the wheel undercarriage can be readily folded out of the container and retracted into it respectively by means of a simple handgrip only, and thereby being ready for immediate use. This task is solved thereby that the pull rod is designed as a two-armed lever, the shorter arm of which is adapted to act upon a first linkage system for causing the wheel undercarriage to be retracted into and folded out of the container respectively, a second linkage system being provided to be acted upon by the pull rod in order to act upon the wheel undercarriage, when this is in its folded-out position, for effecting that its legs, each of which carries a wheel, are moved apart and pulled together respectively.
