Oscillatory Patents (Class 291/28)
  • Patent number: 11072204
Abstract: An integrated abrasive dispensing material system for a wheeled vehicle is provided. The system having a hopper for dispensing the abrasive material into a dispenser, and then out dispensing pipe at the bottom of the dispenser. The dispenser has a rotating brush roll actuated via a motor, the rotating brush roll having a plurality of bristled flaps extending radially from a cylinder positioned inside the hollow dispenser. The flaps ensure a constant and calculated flow of abrasive material. The flap also make contact with the interior perimeter of the dispenser keeping the abrasive material inside the dispenser in an environment that prevents moisture and cold air flow from entering the dispenser which could cause the abrasive material to form blocks that could jam the system.

  • Patent number: 9308921
Abstract: A system is provided for use with, a wheeled vehicle. The system includes a media reservoir capable of holding a tractive material that includes particulates; a nozzle in fluid communication with the media reservoir; and a media valve in fluid communication with the media reservoir and the nozzle. The media valve is controllable between a first state in which the tractive material flows through the media valve and to the nozzle, and a second state in which the tractive material is prevented from flowing to the nozzle. In the first state, the nozzle receives the tractive material from the media reservoir and directs the tractive material to a contact surface such that the tractive material impacts the contact surface that is spaced from a wheel/surface interface. The system can modify the adhesion or the traction capability of the contact surface with regard to a subsequently contacting wheel.

  • Patent number: 9278579
Abstract: An apparatus to dispense salt, sand, brine or similar material under or in the area of a tire on a motor vehicle, including, but not limited to, a truck or automobile. The apparatus comprises one or more containers for storing salt, sand, brine, or similar material that can be used to melt or provide traction on snow or ice. One or more tubes or lines run from the container(s) to a position above or near a vehicle wheel, or in the wheelwell, where the salt, sand, brine or similar material can be dispensed via a dispenser directly onto the snow or ice under or proximate to the tire, or onto the tire itself. A pump is used to pump the salt, sand, brine or similar material through the lines. The pump may be integrated with the container, or may be separately installed.

  • Patent number: 6926314
Abstract: A mudguard gritter that can be easily installed on trucks, school buses, delivery trucks and semitrailers. It can be fixed to supports of existing mudguards. The mudguard gritter comprises a container forming a hopper having the shape of a conventional aileron, with a top rectangular opening of 150 mm per 600 mm and a bottom opening of 25 mm per 600 mm. The top site has a door with hinges that make it possible to fill up the container with fine gravel. A rake supports eccentric vertical stems, which meet through an intermediate guide, at the bottom, on a mobile plate driven by a dual action cylinder powered by compressed air passing through a valve whose control is on the dashboard of the vehicle.
