    Abstract: The present invention provides a cushion that can be used with chair armrest, seat armrest, and other types of support structure. The cushion of the present invention is releasably attachable to the armrest or a support structure to provide a cushion support for the user of the armrest or the support structure. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a cushion for removable attachment to the arm of a chair, comprising an outer covering and a multi-layer inner structure. The multi-layer inner structure includes at least two layers: a cushion layer and a support layer. In a preferred embodiment, the cushion and support layers are enclosed in the outer covering. The support layer is thinner and made of harder material than said cushion. In an alternate embodiment of the invention, the cushion of the invention comprises an outer covering, a cushion, and a skirt attached to the outer covering.

The support may be an elongated board or rod, and in modified form, have an intermediate joint or hinge to permit folding. A cover or sleeve fits over the cushion and support. Elastic bands are deployed to mount the attachment to a pivoting armrest, such as commonly employed in aircraft seating, so that when the armrest is pivoted to the up position, the cushion provides support for the head of the occupant of the seat.

The back panel preferably has a curved top edge and the arms gradually taper inwardly from the back panel to the front edge. The arms and the back panel are of a one-piece construction. The liner has a washable fabric covering held on by a zipper which is easily opened to allow removal of the cover. The cover is machine washable and easily reinstalled. The liner fits most standard chairs and booster seats, and it must be used with chair restraints.

    Abstract: A massaging chair is capable of assuring comfortable use, both in the sitting and lying positions. The massaging chair comprises a seat, a reclining backrest pivotally connected about a pivot axis to the seat so as to be movable between an upright position and a horizontal position with respect to the seat, and a massager is disposed on the side of the reclining backrest to give a massage to a back of a user resting on said seat. A pair of armrests are disposed on the opposite sides of said seat. The armrests are designed to extend arcuately substantially about the pivot axis of the backrest. With this arrangement, the user's arms on the armrests can be kept at a fixed comfortable angular relationship with respect to his or her body, irrespective of the varying angles of the reclining backrest on which the user rests with varying posture.
