Abstract: The invention is a smoking pipe snuffer and method of operation, the smoking pipe snuffer comprising a heat resistant flexible sheet cut in the shape of an inverted L to denote a foot portion connected to a leg portion, the foot portion is further configured to be removably placed over a smoking pipe's large bowl aperture to removably seal the large bowl aperture and protect a portion of the operator's thumb placed over the flexible sheet from any heat emission from a hollow bowl interior; and the leg portion is further configured to be removably secured between a stem of the smoking pipe and thenar portion of the operator's thumb.

Abstract: A multifunctional cooking device is configured for chopping and stirring ground meat, about a radiused and/or convex surface, inside of a cooking pan. The multifunctional cooking device has a shaft with a handle located opposite a neck portion. A bowl is connected to the neck portion of the shaft. The bowl has a concave portion located opposite a back convex portion. The bowl has a plurality of bores traversing the bowl. Each bore has at least one side wall surface extending from the back portion of the bowl. At least one side wall surface having a tapered edge forming a blade. Each bore of the bowl is configured to receive chopped food when a user exerts a force on the multifunctional cooking device when the food is being chopped in a cooking pan, whereby, the food traverses the bore of the bowl to facilitate the chopping process.

Abstract: A system for easily refilling cutlery dispensers and other devices includes a stack of identical cutlery items maintained by a retaining structure that can be removed either before, during, or after installation, depending on the dispenser configuration. In a first aspect, the cutlery handles are nested and the retaining structure includes a single adhesive strip applied to only one side of the stack. In a second aspect, the retaining structure includes separate adhesive strips applied to each side of the stack. In a third aspect, the retaining structure comprises a band extending around the stack, removal of the band from the stack being facilitated by breaking of a frangible section of the band. In all aspects a pull-tab or other graspable element can be provided to facilitate removal of the support structure. The stacked cutlery may also be loaded into a caddy or into a tray.

Abstract: A tool for removing particle residue from a cylindrical container includes a handle, configured to be grasped in the hand of a user to position the tool and to rotate the tool around an axis of rotation aligned substantially parallel to the handle, and at least one blade section extending from the handle at an angle to the axis of rotation. A user manipulates the handle in use to cause the tool to rotate about the axis of rotation so that the leading edge of the blade section moves into and through compacted particle residue within the cylindrical container.

Abstract: A cutlery device includes a blade with an attached handle. Two longitudinal edges of the rectangular blade include a sharpened edge and a non-sharpened spine on the opposite side. The blade has a rectangular fence extending substantially perpendicularly from one or both (opposite) sides of the spine, and extending to the distal end. In one form the fence curves around onto the distal end of the blade. A hole or aperture may be provided in the blade to allow transfer of prepared foods. The fence may be integral with the blade and spine, may be permanently secured to the blade, or may exist as a separate part that may be attached to and removed from the blade.

Abstract: An interactive food storing device. The food storing device includes a container having a base, one or more sidewalls, and an open end, defining an interior volume for storing food. A body extends from the base of the container for supporting the container in an upright position. A sensor is disposed in the container in order to detect movement within the interior volume of the container. The device includes a speaker and an audio unit connected to a processor for playing pre-recorded messages when the sensor detects an object. Further, portions of the device illuminate when food is placed within the container. The container and body resemble a fruit or vegetable in order to encourage children to eat healthy foods.

Abstract: A tool for insertion into a surgical saw includes a holder area for the saw and a head which is movable in oscillation by the surgical saw along a work direction where the head has a plurality of teeth which are arranged behind one another in the work direction. A first and second tooth each contains a first shaving surface for shaving off bone material oriented transversely to the work direction and a second pressing surface for pressing on bone material which pressing surface adjoins the shaving surface. The shaving surface, in relation to the work direction, is more inclined than the pressing surface. The two teeth are oriented with their shaving surface and pressing surface opposite each other so during oscillation the shaving surface of the tooth lying ahead in work direction and the pressing surface of the tooth lying therebehind in work direction are in operation.

Abstract: A one-piece construction chopsticks including symmetrical first and second portions connected to each other by a parallelepiped resilient member at a rear end thereof in a mirror image configuration. A hook on the second portion aligns and maintains positioning of the first and second portions and limits the size of an opening between a bottom side thereof. A pair of parallelelepiped rails perpendicularly disposed on a lower segment of the first portion guides and aligns the first and second portions. Interchangeable implements, such as a spoon, a fork, and a gripping tool, is attachable to the bottom side of each of the first and second portions. Thus, the present chopsticks secure a food particle between the gripping tools without the time and effort involved in developing the skills necessary to use conventional chopsticks, while also permitting the interchangeable use of an eating utensil, such as a spoon and a fork.

Abstract: A utensil for other use in the kitchen or similar venues configured with two side portions and a flexible middle portion formed to bend away from the adjacent side portions. The utensil includes a handle and at least one finger tab extending above and below the middle portion that allow the user to push the middle portion above or below the adjacent side portions and to lock utensil in an open position. The side and middle portions may be configured as a plurality of fork tines or the side and middle portions may be configured as substantially square (rectangular) supports resembling a spatula. Alternatively, the utensil is configured as two separate “L” shaped portions. The combination of the handle, the finger tabs and relatively movable portions allow a user of the utensil to grip food or other items with the utensil.

Abstract: A grill rod scraping tool for cleaning the top, sides and bottom side of grill rods. The tool comprises of a neck with concave contours and a U-shaped end that enable the prongs and scraper of the tool to scrape the top, sides, and bottom side of the grid iron rods. The concave contours of the neck also allow both left and right handed individuals to operate and rotate the tool with ease. The prongs are angled away from the neck to enable the tool to be used while the grid iron rods are still hot. The grill tool is applied to the grill rod and pushed and pulled along the length of the grill rod to clean residue from food and hardened char.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for dynamic nutrition tracking with utensils. Example methods may include receiving a first user input from a user indicative of a meal event initiation, receiving a second user input associated with a first food item, and identifying nutritional information associated with the first food item. The example method may include measuring a weight of a portion of the first food item based at least in part on an upward user gesture indicative of a food consumption event, wherein the weight is measured during the upward gesture, automatically determining that the food consumption event is completed based at least in part on a change in the weight, and calculating a calorie amount indicative of a number of calories in the portion based at least in part on the weight and the nutritional information associated with the first food item.

Abstract: An apparatus for cutting, peeling, and/or slicing is provided. The apparatus includes a frame, a handle, a blade, and one or more scoring elements near the blade. The scoring elements are provided to score the item before being cut/peeled/sliced by the blade. The apparatus can be provided with one or more adjusters for adjusting the blade and/or one or more of the scoring elements. A corresponding method for cutting, peeling, and/or slicing is also provided.

The method includes providing an article made from a colored plastic such as polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene, PET, PLA, ABS, etc., that discolors when irradiated with a laser beam; applying a laser beam to cause localized surface discoloration; and controlling the deflection and amplitude of the beam to form a surface decoration and/or image. In embodiments, the laser is a YAG or Fiber laser, the markings emulate silver or gold or pewter without applying metals, inks, or coatings to the plastic articles. The markings are clearly visible against both light and dark backgrounds, and can be placed in food-contact areas of the articles. The technique can be used for marking customized and personalized designs, images, and photographs on food service articles. Embodiments can be used to decorate plates and/or cutlery.

The LED displays flashing green to indicate the food is cooking, yellow to indicate the food is cooked rare, steady green to indicate the food is cooked medium, red to indicate the food is well-done, and flashing red to indicate an overdone stage of cooking.

The end rib and the two longitudinal ribs on both sides are designed so that when the cutlery elements of this invention are stacked, the end rib and the longitudinal ribs of the first side of a cutlery element engage positively in the end rib and longitudinal ribs of the second side of the further cutlery element to connecting to them in the stacking direction.

Abstract: A metallic food serving device with a magnetically detachable stabilizing leg comprising of a metallic food serving body having a blade member, a raised angular member and a handle member, and a magnetically detachable stabilizing leg removably attached to the handle member, whereby the magnetically detachable stabilizing leg is coplanar to the blade member. By magnetically attaching the magnetically detachable stabilizing leg to the metallic food serving body, the device is stabilized and can stand upright with or without the presence of a food product on the device. Moreover, if a user chooses to clean the device or use the device as food serving device only, the magnetically detachable stabilizing leg may be removed from the food serving body and then replaced as desired.

Thus, all of the melamine resin, the bamboo fiber powder and the adjuvant are made of organic material so that the utensil can be decomposed naturally and will not pollute the environment when it is disposed of to achieve the environmental protection purpose.
