Abstract: An assembly for mounting a kitchen extractor hood to a wall can include the kitchen extractor hood and a mounting system. The kitchen extractor hood can include: an extraction motor unit; filter devices; a channel to eject the extracted air; and a casing. The mounting system can include: a first frame secured to the wall, wherein the first frame is configured to support the extraction motor unit, wherein the first frame includes right-angled elements whose longer vertical sides are configured to be fixed to the wall by expansion means. The right-angled elements can include protruding overhanging shorter sides that form a bracket configured to support the extraction motor unit. The mounting system can further include: a second frame fixed to the first frame, wherein the second frame is configured to receive and hold the casing based on a position of the extraction motor unit on the bracket.

Abstract: A modular cabinet system including a cabinet shell configured with an open front space, a cabinet insert configured to be selectively installed in, and removed from, the cabinet shell by being passed through the open front space, a pair of first slide members respectively provided to each inner side surface of the cabinet shell, and a pair of second slide members respectively provided to each outer side surfaces provided proximate each side of the cabinet insert, wherein the respective first slide members are configured to interact with the corresponding second slide members to guide the cabinet insert into, and out of, the cabinet shell.

Abstract: In kitchen and bathroom type cabinets made from wooden material, the toe kick located in the toe kick recess at the base of the cabinets is provided with a metallic face. One of the preferred ways to provide this is through two layers of material including a metal plate secured to a wooden support backing material to facilitate mounting to the frame structure of the cabinets. The metallic toe kick may take the form of a kit in which metallic plates are mounted to the preexisting toe kick of kitchen or bathroom cabinets to provide a different aesthetic characteristic to this cabinetry.

Plumbing components are disposed within the interior space for connection to a sink mounted on a top of the frame structure. The drawer assembly is mounted within the interior space of the cabinet and is movable from open and closed positions along guides that are associated with the frame structure. The drawer assembly is configured to fit within the interior space of the cabinet when in the closed position without interference with plumbing components disposed within the interior space of the cabinet.

Abstract: A dishwasher having a cabinet and wash chambers in the form of drawers which slide in and out of the cabinet. Rigid and flexible closures are disclosed for sealing off the wash chambers when retracted into the cabinet. A detergent dispenser for the dishwasher is provided in one wall of a wash chamber in the wash water discharge path into the wash chamber so that detergent powder is flushed out of the dispenser and mixed with the wash water prior to the latter being discharged into the wash chamber. A wash program for a dual wash chamber dishwasher is also disclosed which minimizes total water consumption by transferring water from one chamber to the other.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a stepping platform in front of a cabinet structure, so that a person can better reach above the cabinet structure. The system includes a motorized platform that is retracted into the base support below the cabinet structure. When a person needs the platform, that person engages an activation switch. Once the activation switch is depressed, an electric motor drives the platform forward in front of the cabinet structure. Once fully extended, the platform can be stood upon, thereby adding between three inches and six inches of height to the person. When the platform is no longer needed, the activation switch is again engaged. The electric motor retracts the platform back into the base support below the cabinet structure.

Abstract: A drawer mounted on a drawer housing which is attached to the base plate of a cabinet, the drawer being sized to contain a bathroom scale, and being movable inwardly and outwardly by attachment to telescopic drawer glides. A hinged door is mounted to the drawer housing to cover the drawer when in a closed position. An alternative provides and electro-mechanical connection to the drawer, to enable opening and closing of the drawer by activation of an electrical motor.

Abstract: A kitchen cabinet has a cabinet frame having a storage space portion that is accessible via a front door or the like and, above the storage space portion, a mounting portion for a sink, a cooking table surface, a gas stove or the like and, below the storage space portion, a drawer space that is open forward. A drawer is slidably fitted into the drawer space of the cabinet frame. Each of two side plate portions of the cabinet frame has, at its front lower end, a cutout that is receded from the upper front edge of the side plate, which defines a standard front surface of the kitchen cabinet. The drawer has a stepped front plate that is formed by connecting a lower front plate portion whose height is less than the height of the cutouts, to an upper front plate portion positioned forward of the lower front plate portion, by a connecting member. A lower edge portion of the upper front plate portion is formed as a hand hold portion.

Abstract: Enclosure panel for a mobile computer, the enclosure panel including a panel housing coupled to a portion of the mobile computer. In one embodiment, the panel housing is non-detachably coupled to an attachment plate that is coupled to the mobile computer. The enclosure panel can have cosmetic or functional attributes or both. To achieve cosmetic individuality, the enclosure panel housing is made of a durable substance like transparent or colorful plastic or stainless steel, or is covered by a textile, vinyl, leather, or elastomeric material. Functional attributes include enclosure panels with pouches for storage, additional electronic component configurability, a solar power source, or a transporting means. The enclosure panel housing is interchangeable with other enclosure panel housings, providing the user with reconfigurability of a mobile computer design.

Abstract: A new Compact Sliding Vanity Step System for providing a pull out step for a bathroom vanity wherein a child may stand upon the step instead of having to manipulate an unsafe object adjacent the vanity. The inventive device includes a step slidably projecting under a floor of a vanity cabinet by a combination of rails, and a support member secured to a bottom surface of the step for supporting an extended portion of the step during operation. The support member is normally slightly above a floor to allow sliding of the step and the support member without the support member catching upon the floor or a rug.

Abstract: A pair of end cap connectors serve to connect a vertical toe kick plate between the spaced vertical side walls of a kitchen base cabinet, or the like. Each end cap connector includes a body portion adapted to abut the front edge of the associated side panel, a first flange portion extending orthogonally from the body portion to engage the corresponding inner surface of the associated side wall, and an abutment surface parallel with the first flange portion for covering the corresponding end surface of the toe kick plate.

Abstract: The toespace below the door of a front-loading dishwasher is closed off from the under-tub space inside the dishwasher assembly by a combined toeplate-and-access-panel member which also closes off the door-bottom-receiving recess above the toespace; in installed condition, the combined member is anchored at its top edge by cooperating projecting and receptor elements associated respectively with the tub bottom and the top edge of the combined member.

Abstract: A toe kick drawer is supported in an inset base beneath an enclosure of a bathroom vanity cabinet. The toe drawer has a recess which conforms to the inset base of the cabinet and preserves the ability of a user to place a front part of a foot underneath the cabinet when using a sink. The toe drawer allows efficient use of space and protects items and articles from water damage. The toe drawer may have rolling or sliding means coupled to the cabinet for easy opening or closing by a hand or a loot.

Abstract: A support structure for a vertically arranged combination household appliance, more particularly a front loading dryer assembly arranged above a top loading washer assembly, includes vertical main support members, horizontal members and other members. The structure adequately supports both appliance assemblies of the combination appliance during transportation and usage, provides improved operating performance during off balance washer spin conditions or dryer tumbling, and maintains unitary appliance characteristics by being an integral part of the combination appliance design and by being located entirely interior to the appliance cabinetry.

Abstract: A cabinet for displaying articles which can be used in two positions. The cabinet is provided with a plurality of divider walls dividing the cabinet into a plurality of differently sized article receiving pigeonholes or slots. The cabinet is constructed so that depending on the position of the cabinet the articles will be displayed in a horizontal or vertical position. The cabinet has at least two identically sized drawer receiving slots, each sized to receive a drawer. The drawer receiving slots are disposed perpendicular to each other and are positioned so that regardless of whether the cabinet is in one position or another one of the drawer receiving slots is along side a wall of the cabinet and the other drawer receiving slot is horizontal in the cabinet. In this way a drawer can always be inserted in a horizontal drawer receiving slot regardless of the position of the cabinet.

Abstract: A mounting device for securing a range hood beneath a soffit having a framing member fastened to a wall. The device has an elongated mounting plate suitable for being secured along and to the framing member. A pair of hangers depend from the mounting plate and are connected thereto at spaced locations along the mounting plate. The hangers secure the range hood to the mounting device.

Abstract: Mobile furniture modules can be releasably installed under a work surface structure, such as provided by a countertop or table top, with convenient rearrangement enabled by providing each module with roller structures, such as typical casters, which are releasably anchored in wheel mounts which receive the caster wheels in a depression seat at a level elevated from the floor in the installed position. In addition the work surface structure is provided with a retainer which prevents movement of installed modules from beneath the work surface structure, preferably by engaging the top of the module with adjustable elevation which levels the module following releasable anchoring of the wheels in the elevated depression seat.The modular furniture system can be employed with particular advantage for movable laboratory cabinets to provide continuous work surface between rearrangeably installed cabinets.

Abstract: A dental cabinet, suitable for sit down dentistry, which is made by assemblying three cabinet sections. Each cabinet section has internal spaces which are in open communication with the internal spaces of the other cabinet sections. This allows the free passage of utility lines from one cabinet section to another and also permits easy access to the utility lines for installation and repair. The cabinet also can be assembled in place against a wall surface or as a free standing cabinet without the need for utility line excess openings in the walls or back of the cabinet.

The support assembly includes an open sided support enclosure into which the operating module is slidably inserted. The support assembly is initially mounted in the position above a countertop or cooking surface and the module is inserted thereinto to complete the mounting process.

Abstract: A cabinet for storing tape cassette includes a plurality of first compartments arranged in a vertically stepped array for storing a plurality of tape cassettes with each cassette oriented vertically while resting on one end and a plurality of second compartments formed in a plurality of drawers disposed behind the stepped array of first compartments for storing tape cassettes wherein each cassette rests horizontally on its front or back face. The compartments are preferably made of transparent material and a transparent door is provided.

Abstract: A household appliance such as a dishwasher, washing machine, stove and the like, with a base setback on the front thereof, in which the facing of the base setback is constructed from two wall plates, each of which may be shortened to a desired width. One of the wall plates extends in the plane of the front side of the appliance while the other wall plate is fastened to a lower edge zone of the first plate. The second wall plate extends parallel to the base of the appliance with its edge facing from the front resting against a base plate movable horizontally of the appliance. This permits varying the depth and height of a base setback of an appliance in a simple efficient manner to match the base setback of adjacent cabinets.

The cart includes easily manipulated, lockable covers to secure all instruments and supplies from threat of unauthorized use, and the cart is constructed of lightweight material for good maneuverability with dimensions appropriate for convenient use between hospital beds, movement through hospital corridors, and the like.

Abstract: A casket canopy assembly for use in providing a backdrop and display assembly for use with a casket is disclosed. A pair of end wing units having tiered shelves cooperate with a top unit, which may be separable from or secured to the wing units, to provide an assembly having a top and sides within which a casket may be placed either during a funeral or for display purposes. A suitable drape or curtain may be suspended from the assembly and a light fixture may be positioned on the wing units with the shelves providing suitable supports for floral displays and the like.

Abstract: A mobile, self-contained beverage dispensing cart, characterized by a unitary rectangular-shaped cabinet structure, mounted on a plurality of swivel-type castors, and containing a plurality of internal and external non-communicating chambers for the storage of hot liquid beverages, and the liquid and gaseous components of the cold beverages to be dispensed therefrom. Said cart being designed for attendant-assisted or customer self-access from both longitudinal sides of said cart, the incorporated hot and cold beverage dispenser means are positioned in duplicate, one set being located on each longitudinal side of said cart. The serving temperatures of stored beverages contained within said cart are maintained at the desired levels by the use of non-electrical, thermally-insulated storage containers, and an ice supply storage means.

Abstract: A storage and display system includes a plurality of bins adapted to be stacked and interlocked in a vertical array and tier-supporting members including at least two brackets adapted to be detachably interlocking to form horizontal and vertical supporting surfaces for the bins. Each bin consists of a bottom, a substantially upstanding front wall and an upstanding rear wall. Each bottom of the bins has a front flange member and a rear flange member arranged on its outside surface. Each upstanding rear wall of the bins has an additional flange member positioned on its upper end. A first bin is positioned onto the supporting members by interengaging the front and rear flange members on the bottom of the first bin with hook-shaped projections on the brackets.

Abstract: A combined storage bin and display assembly for rolls of decorative paper, such as wallpaper, wherein a plurality of parallel upstanding partitions are arranged along an essentially straight-line path with each of the partitions being disposed at an angle with respect to the straight-line path. Shelves span the space between successive ones of the partitions to form vertically-spaced bins for the storage of rolls of decorative paper, the shelves terminating before a forward edge of an associated one of each of the partitions whereby a display area is formed for each bin between the termination of its shelf and the forward edge of an associated partition. In this manner, a sample of the decorative paper stored in a bin can be displayed on a display area in front of the bin, all of the display areas being readily visible to a shopper as he walks along the forward edges of the storage bins.
