    Abstract: A power supply includes: a switching amplifier including an input and an output, the amplifier input being adapted to be powered by an electrical power source; a transformer including a primary and a secondary winding on a magnetic core, the number of winding turns being chosen to limit magnetization levels to avoid magnetic saturation while maximizing winding spacing, the transformer primary winding being in communication with the amplifier output; a rectification system in communication with the transformer secondary winding, the rectification system providing a DC power output; and a controller. The controller monitors the DC power output and adjusts the switching amplifier in response to the monitoring to provide a desired power output characteristic.

    Abstract: A parabolic current generator is provided for use with a waveshaping circuit for producing a sinusoidally increasing bus output voltage signal in response to the rising edge of a data input signal, and a sinusoidally decreasing bus output voltage signal in response to a falling edge of the data input signal. The parabolic current generator provides a current that increases parabolically in response to the rising or falling edge of the data input signal and that decreases parabolically when the bus output voltage signal reaches one-half of its intended full voltage swing or falls below one-half of the full voltage swing to respectively produce the sinusoidally increasing and decreasing voltage at the bus output. The parabolic current generator includes an operational amplifier having an integrating capacitor connected between its non-inverting input and its output. A field effect transistor is connected to its inverting input and has an impedance sized to minimize the capacitor value.

    Abstract: A scanning waveform generator for operation at a first or a second scanning frequency comprises a source of a parabolic shaped signal having a frequency selectable between the first or second scanning frequency. A means for generating a switching signal indicative of a video signal operating at one of a first or a second scanning frequency. A means for generating a sawtooth shaped waveform is coupled to the switching signal for switching between the first or the second scanning frequency. A means for generating an S correction signal is coupled to the source and to the sawtooth generating means. A means for filtering the parabolic signal is controllably coupled to the switching signal generator, and is also coupled to the S correction signal generating means. The filtered parabolic signal has an substantially the same shape during the first or second scanning frequency.
