  • Publication number: 20150052784
Abstract: A snow removal system is provided that includes a compression module having a tubular casing with an inlet, and an outlet having a converging cross-sectional surface area shape and air-hole perforations, a conveyor screw concentric to the casing spanning from the inlet to the outlet is powered to move and compact the snow at the outlet, a conveyor belt moves the output snow away from the compression module at a velocity v1, a moveable truss houses the conveyor belt and supports the compression module, the device contacts a snow-covered surface and the truss moves at a velocity v2 perpendicular to the snowplow, where v1 is great enough to move the snow from the compression module when the truss moves at a velocity v2 the conveyor screw turns at a rate that to incorporate V1 and v2 to ensure the conveyor belt capacity is not exceeded.

  • Patent number: 7789037
Abstract: The invention relates to a device serving both to lay thin layers of powder and to compact them, the device being suitable for being located inside an apparatus containing a powder or powder mixture while it is subjected to the action of a laser. The device comprises a circular cylinder (12) provided with a longitudinal groove (15) formed in an outside surface of the cylinder (12). The cylinder also has a surface (12a) adapted to compact the powder that has been deposited on a deposition zone. By moving the cylinder in rotation and translation, the powder is brought to and deposited on a tray, on which the powder is then compacted by rotating the cylinder in the opposite direction. The invention enables very thin layers of ceramic or metallic powder to be laid in accurate and uniform manner inside a sealed thermal enclosure at a temperature lying between ambient temperature and about 1200° C.

  • Patent number: 4651452
Abstract: A snow remover to be used in connection with a truck or other suitable vehicle. The apparatus comprises a snow container which moves on the ground scooping up snow like a snow shovel and is provided with at least one spiral conveyor and a discharge pipe. The snow gathered in the snow container by the spiral conveyor is let out through the discharge pipe, which pipe is provided with a choker. The spiral conveyor (3) is installed within the snow container (1) in a vertical position so that only its bottom part (31) is attached to the snow container. The spiral conveyor (3) has a conical form and is fitted within a conical sheath (5). The top part of the sheath thus forms the choker (52), which is connected to the bottom part (41) of the discharge pipe. The discharge pipe (4) has a cross-sectional area larger than that of the choker (52). The discharge pipe (4) is curved, and its radius of curvature (R) is constant. The discharge pipe (4) is formed of two parts, i.e.

  • Patent number: 4454667
Abstract: A compact snow removal apparatus for continuously removing snow from a generally horizontal surface. The snow is then compacted to substantially remove all air and reduce it to ice or an ice-like substance. The apparatus employs several steps to achieve the compaction. By addition of accessories the ice pieces may be tossed to the side, stored in a container within the apparatus or conveyed to the box of a truck to which the snow removal device is attached or adjacent.
