Single Unit System Having Two Separate Heads Or Double Ported Ram Patents (Class 386/236)
  • Patent number: 10495398
Abstract: An electronic camera device, and associated system and interfaces, that generates, records and transmits video, audio and sensor data. Camera device comprises a housing with a fastening mechanism adapted to mount the device to a firearm. The device has a processor module, a memory module for storage, a camera module configured to generate and record video and store the video to memory. The device further includes a magnetic sensor configured to detect the presence and absence of a magnet and an accelerometer that is configured to detect a draw motion (e.g., a firearm being unholstered). When the magnetic sensor detects the absence of a magnet, and the accelerometer detects a draw motion, one or more corresponding signals are generated and transmitted, directing the camera to begin recording (and transmitting) video and send an alert signal to assets in the field to provide support.

  • Patent number: 8965173
Abstract: A multimedia signal processing system allows a user to store selected programs while simultaneously watching or reviewing another. The system includes an input section and an output section. Across all configurations, the output section remains substantially the same, while the input section varies according to the signal type and the source. The system receives a digital stream and simultaneously processes the digital stream for display and stores the digital stream on at least one storage device. The system further simultaneously processes a previously recorded digital stream for display while processing the digital stream for display.

  • Patent number: 8849089
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of creating motion pictures in a portable device. The method includes detecting whether an event occurs while a stored motion picture file is being played, if an event occurs, extracting and playing a video stream of the motion picture file simultaneously after the occurrence, and creating a user motion picture file by producing a user audio stream and compounding the user audio stream with the extracted video stream. Further disclosed is a method of providing contents in a portable device. This method includes selecting a stored receiver's information, saving and playing simultaneously, if an event occurs, a video stream of the motion picture file after the occurrence, creating a customized audio stream according to the receiver's information and producing a user's motion picture file by compounding the audio stream with the video stream, attaching the user's motion picture file to a message, and transmitting the message.

  • Patent number: 8548300
Abstract: The invention is related to a method and a device for recording of frames. Said method comprises buffering fractions of frames in a buffer and transferring from the buffer to memory devices data packets comprising at least one fraction, each, wherein after transferring to a first memory device a first fraction of a first frame, only fractions of said first frame are transferred to said first memory device until the amount of data belonging to said first frame and being transferred to said first memory device corresponds the storage capacity of at least one memory block comprised in said first memory device.

  • Patent number: 8428426
Abstract: A digital video recording/playback apparatus is provided in which maximum delay can be easily changed in accordance with the bit rate of inputted video data. The digital video recording/playback apparatus includes a memory unit, a playback unit, a synchronization unit, a synchronization signal counter, and a controller. The synchronization signal counter counts a synchronization signal to generate a frame counter value. The controller outputs a reading start instruction for the video data to the memory unit, and a decoding start instruction for the video data to the playback unit. The controller is configured to determine a first process completion time limit represented by the frame counter value as a process completion time limit for the memory unit and to determine a second process completion time limit represented by the frame counter value as a process completion time limit for the playback unit.

  • Patent number: 7778330
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of measuring blocking artefacts on the basis of video data encoded in accordance with a block encoding technique. This method comprises a step of computing a monodimensional inverse discrete transform (31) of a first row of a first block of encoded video data, suitable for supplying a value of a first virtual border pixel (vep1). It also comprises a step of computing a monodimensional inverse discrete transform (32) of a first row of a second block of encoded video data, the second block being adjacent to the first block, suitable for supplying a value of a second virtual border pixel (vep2). Finally, the method comprises a step of computing (33) a blocking artefact level (VEP-L) on the basis of an absolute value of the difference between the values of the first and second virtual pixels. This method finds its application, for example, in video encoders, decoders and transcoders.
