Abstract: A therapeutic shower assembly for weight reduction contemplates a generally horizontal support for an individual's body in a horizontal position on their back or stomach and a shower enclosure that accommodates the support. The shower enclosure also includes a source of pressurized water or a pump, a water heater for providing heated water and a horizontal serpentine pipe including a plurality of upwardly directed small openings. The assembly also includes two valves for stopping the flow of water to a portion of the pipe and the second valve for totally stopping the flow of water. The upwardly directed heated water falls gently on the individual. A mechanism raises and lowers the serpentine pipe to allow access to the support and to bring the pipe within about a foot or two of the individual. Finally, a timer and alarm warn an individual that the treatment is over.

Abstract: A sauna cabinet is humidified and heated without airborne perceivable water drops by the use of a fine spray. The user can thus remain comfortably in the sauna cabinet that is free of airborne perceivable water drops. The user's view is also not clouded by mist. Accordingly, the user can enjoy viewing images and reading books in the sauna cabinet, and a user's sensible temperature distribution in the sauna cabinet is also uniform. This sauna equipment thus provides uniform temperature and humidity even in a large bathroom. The sauna equipment includes a first circulator and a second circulator for circulating air in the sauna cabinet, an air heater for heating supplied air, and a water atomizer for turning supplied water into fine water drops.

Abstract: A negative ion generating device includes a housing having a number of water flowing passages, a number of electrically conductive boards engaged with sockets of the housing and electrically coupled to negative and conductive electricity respectively and disposed alternatively with each other for generating an electromagnetic field in the water, a copper plate is disposed in the housing and disposed above the electrically conductive boards for attracting and removing positive ions and for generating negative ions, and a processor device coupled to the conductive boards for receiving signals and for controlling the conductive boards.

Abstract: A mist delivery system includes an enclosure having at least one misting nozzle coupled thereto. The enclosure includes a primary wall and a secondary wall, whereby an air channel is defined between the primary wall and the secondary wall. A controller directs misted air through the misting nozzle and further activates an air flow system such that misted air within the shower area flows through and is dried in the air channel.

Abstract: A shower system includes a shower area defined by a shower stall or primary wall having at least one misting nozzle coupled thereto. The primary wall is enclosed by a shower stall housing or a secondary wall, whereby an air channel is defined between the shower stall and the shower stall housing. A controller directs misted air through the misting nozzle and further activates an air flow system such that misted air within the shower area flows through and is dried in the air channel.

Abstract: A top wall assembly to convert a shower enclosure into a therapeutic shower enclosure. The top wall assembly has an air blower in communication with one or more air return orifices in the top wall. An air distribution channel is in communication with the air blower and at least one air injecting orifice is provided in the top wall and communicates with the enclosure. A heater is provided in the air distribution channel for heating convected air therein to a temperature of up to about 75° C. to provide a stream of hot dry air circulating in the enclosure about a person's body standing therein whereby to cause the person's body to transpire and provide a therapeutic effect of shedding toxins through the skin. In combination with the hot dry air treatment there is available a chromotherapeutic and luminotherapeutic light treatment and an ion and ozone generator to inject ions and ozone in the hot dry air stream.

Abstract: A sauna is provided that has a steam device and a mist device for providing steam and mist to a user. The steam device can heat a portion of the liquid to increase efficiency. The mist device can vibrate the liquid to provide the mist.

Abstract: A skin cleaner includes a lower container, and an upper bowl having a rim defining an opening for receiving the face of users. The container has a chamber for containing a first liquid while the bowl has a cup located in the opening for containing a second liquid. A heater is provided for heating and converting the second liquid into vapor, which is then discharged from the cup into the opening of the bowl. The skin cleaner further includes a nozzle disposed in the bowl, and a pump for pumping the first liquid to the nozzle and spurting the first liquid from the nozzle over the face received in the bowl.

Abstract: An apparatus is described for the coating of a human body with a tanning composition, such as a sunless tanning composition, wherein an arm with a plurality of nozzles thereon traverses within a booth to spray coat a body in the booth. The spray nozzles are oriented to avoid opposing air flows and excessive air flows which cause inefficient and uneven, dripping or streaking in the deposition of tanning composition on the skin. In another aspect, the apparatus provides for a foot rinser to rinse the feet of a user while the apparatus applies a sunless tanning composition to the user to avoid overly darkening the user's feet. In yet another aspect, the apparatus provides for a sanitation system to wash-down the spray booth between successive uses.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for electrostatically coating a human with a coating composition. In one embodiment, the present invention includes an enclosure; a mount positioned on the enclosure; an electrostatic nozzle connected to the mount, the electrostatic nozzle for passing the coating composition; and a grounding connection positioned inside the enclosure, the grounding connection capable of electrically grounding the human; wherein the coating composition passed through the electrostatic nozzle is depositable upon the human. Furthermore, in another embodiment, the enclosure includes a first wall wherein the mount is positioned on the first wall; and a second wall positioned substantially opposite the first wall, the second wall including a portion curved about an axis.

Abstract: A showerhead attachment is used for generating aromas. The showerhead attachment holds an aroma containing material such as a gelatin type capsule to be intermixed with a portion of the running water and discharged through a discharge orifice. The showerhead attachment comprises a housing, a dispensing chamber, a removable and attachable cylinder, and a filter assembly. As water begins to flow through a water supply conduit, it will exit the conduit and enter into an inlet port of the housing to course through the housing and around the dispensing chamber and on through an outlet port, where the water will the flow through the showerhead into a cleansing stream raining down upon the bather. As the water enters the housing and flows around the dispensing chamber, a small portion of the total volumetric flow will enter an inlet orifice and will thus be diverted into an auxiliary water stream flowing into the dispensing chamber.

Abstract: An improved treatment facility for the application of a tub and/or steam bath which includes a heating facility for heating up stones and one or more water basins or containers associated with tubs or steam baths into which the heated stones can be immersed to generate steam. The stones are housed in a fireproof hold-and-carry container which is able to hold a great number of stones and which is in the form of an open network or cage designed to be penetrable by air and water. A lift and carry device including a pivoting crane arm is provided to convey the container including the heated stones back and forth from the heating facility to the one or more provided water basins or containers and to immerse a desired portion of the heated stone in the water.

Abstract: An apparatus for applying suntan lotion including a liquid tight enclosure of generally cylindrical shape. The upper wall portions are tilted inwardly to form a central neck enclosure. A door in side walls of the enclosure is spring biased to the closed position. Lotion mist ports are disposed about the interior of the enclosure and supplied from a lotion distribution tube which in turn is supplied from at least one atomizing nozzle. A pump pumps the liquid lotion from a supply dispenser to the atomizing nozzles. As the lotion is pumped through the atomizing nozzle, it is formed into mist droplets which are communicated to the distribution pipe and then to the mist outlets in the chamber. The droplets contact the body of the person in the chamber and are applied to the skin in that manner. A recirculating pump is provided for evacuating the misted droplets and to recirculate them into the distribution tube by means of an impeller fan.

Abstract: A far infrared rays sauna bath assembly includes a small prefabricated construction assembly for easy carrying and construction and several ceramic plane surface exothermic heaters having a very thin thickness about 1 mm of which occupy a minimum area when mounted and provide further radiation available for a large evenly radiation heating with an effective heat ratio. A height controlling shower machine is available to control the height for a user. An air dryer for full body drying a finger pressure cushion palette having multiple protrusions for finger pressure therapy and a discharge for bottom drain water are included. Abstract: An adapter is described for selectively converting a conventional shower to a steam sauna. The adapter includes a spray mist nozzle for developing a spray mist. In an alternative preferred form, water spray orifices are provided in addition to the spray mist nozzle and are separately controlled by a plate valve mounted to the handle with provisions for selective manual operation. The handle and attached spray nozzle are connected to the shower water outlet to selectively deliver water from the shower water outlet under pressure to the spray nozzle. A mount is provided for operably securing the spray nozzle to one of the shower stall walls; or more particularly, to a deflection plate which in turn is mountable to the one shower stall wall. The deflection plate is oriented angularly in relation to the spray nozzle to receive and deflect spray therefrom.
